Typical middleclass mindset leads to being in the middleclass spectrum for generations. Wealth creation is important in the current trend as there is a massive indestructable wave to replace humas to AI in all sectors including the govenment sector.
No school can provide vslue when AI becomes a norm in all the sectors and when the childrens who are in whatever school end up as job seekers like a typical middleclass society. It leads to nowhere if parents still think that high standards lead to high growth which doesnt hspoen till the same parents move from salaried employee to a wealth generator.

Relax guys, your kid won’t be the next Elon Musk if you are paying 4.5lacs as fees to school. The best they could do is get an average job in an expensive city where they will pay half salary as taxes and other half in living expenses. When it comes to school fees, there is law of diminishing marginal returns. Every thing to be learnt is on TH-cam, kids eventually find their way.

Very sensible comment about practicalities of life. Things will change only if we redefine what is Development and what is success. Today both are defined by the west and entire world system directly or indirectly abides by it.
Education and living , both needs to be holistic like our Rishi munis acharyas imagined. Else today's life is a one way street based on Kaama, Krodha, lobha, Moha, Mada and Marsarya ( one can look up the meanings online of these Sanskrit words)
I hope the relevant teaching authorities think about life holistically a little bit as they are creating the future of Bharat / India

I don't expect my kids to be topper but just understand the concepts, have social skills and respect the people around you. Anybody can be trained but we have to imbibe the discipline, dedication and manners in them. I want them to feel the joy of going to school. I am from ICSE and know the pressure. I don't want my kids to go through the same. The kids should interact with all the other kids(upper class, middle class and poor). This is when they will understand how the parents are struggling in day-to-day life to provide for them. Cheers!

The Indian education system is as old as the Nokia 6600 in the times of the M4 chip. For me, children just need to learn writing, speaking, reading, and all the basic survival skills like cooking, cleaning, traveling, etc. Once that's done, let them be aware of all the professions that exist in the world, such as photography, video editing, coding, music, dancing, designing, and business. Let teachers observe what they are good at without forcing the pressure of exams. Because with exams, anyone who is good at memorizing can score 100/100, but they will forget it after a month. Schooling should make children happier and encourage them to love coming every day. With this type of school, children will never bunk.
By 2044, there will be fewer jobs due to AI, automation, and overpopulation. The only way your children can survive is by having a business edge. So, instead of investing all your money in traditional education systems, invest in teaching them about business, and focus on building generational wealth that can be passed on to them.
    Thanks!

And they pay teacher's peanuts. 16 k to 35k per month. Not only that, most of these school keep the teacher's original education certificate and if a teacher wants them back for some purpose, they have to deposit one month salary aa security amount. How a teacher who is unsatisfied with the job can teach the children well ? These school managements are fooling the parents into thinking that as they are paying the hugh amount for exceptional quality education of their children. Parents should actually enquire the teachers salary before enrolling their children.

I'm a teacher ,being experienced in Icsc ,Cbse ,even state board .The parents can send to any simple school only to bring in socialising factor of growth. And chk only that part .The rest you spend time and prepare and motivate to make them up.Pls avoid tuitions in evening ,that's punishment to the child .The society becomes empowered if parents are the best teachers for their child.Instead spend money for cocurricular classes in the evening where you will also upgrade with them becoming a student again ,parenting is nothing but becoming life long learner and hence nurture the future citizens .Then there is no arrogance or crime in society .Thank you ,wishing all the very best for the parents 😊

Schools know that the combined income of mother and father is around 30-60 lakhs / Annum & most of the parents have only one child.
In reality 90% of the education can be learnt online + tutions, no need of any physical schools.
Second reality is that 70% of these children will be unemployed by 2045 no matter what they study.
Due to overpopulation +Ai+ Automation, jobs will be very less & salaries will be very low. Upper Middle class children have got used to lavish life & they will not work for very low wages. Thus most of these children will become a burden to parents as they will survive on their parents retirement income.

There are schools which take reasonable fee and still provide good education.. But they may not have the marketing gimmicks like big brand schools, which is fine.. More than kids, it's about parents..
There are category of parents who want to send kids to big brand schools for the brand name and show off in society.. Then there are parents who do not want to or don't have time to involve themselves in kids studies and think big branded school does some magic on kids and they will have higher IQ level..
But majority of parents choose big brand schools with high fees to showoff in their family and society..
If you know Bengaluru, then you can definitely find good schools with reasonable fees and only really required infrastructure..

I am 24 now and from my Lkg to post-graduation my parents spent a total of 12 lakhs on everything. Including everything means everything (from Schooling, transportation, tuition, food, clothes, pocket money !!) I studied in a small private school here and am currently at a decent place in life. Nowadays parents spend so much money on their children's education and co-curricular activities that 10 children like us can study with that money😂😂😂. Well tbvh it's all about quality education because it's a basic necessity. I have seen many people who are in a very good position in life today despite studying in government schools and I have also seen many people who are doing normal jobs today despite studying in from ICSE, CBSE schools. Lastly, more than where you are studying from, what you have studied and how much skill you have developed matters because at the end of the day, you will get money in life according to your skills. Well hats off to these parents!!

On the contrary Bangalore cbse schools with half of this Infrastructure , average fees is from 1.7 to 2.5 lac per annum without transport , I can only guess the reason better control and regulation of department of education over private CBSE school can only lead to control fees , during Covid , CBSE schools in bangalore did not follow DoE circulars and continued charging semi annual fees , anuual fees and also transport fees .

It's not always the school.. it's about the upbringing at home that matters the most.. most of the parents choose these hifi schools for their own social satisfaction... Children need more social and public exposure rather than bombarding them with science and maths, be it icse cbse or state syllabus .. scoring 100/100 in all the subjects and failing to get out of a daily life situation, makes all these investments a loss.. ask your kids to grow and take care of a real plant in your home.. if they cannot, the education that you are giving them is a waste ..

Education, schooling are linked as status symbol. Parents gives lots of reasons for opting expensive schools. But ultimately it is only status symbol.

Wow so much has changed damn!
If I recall right my 11th/12th fees was around 1L per year in 2014-15. And personally I feel it was high. Its just I continued in the same school I was in since UKG as my father was working from Mumbai. So my mum who would be alone here didn't want to take risk. Though I would say, thinking back, one thing I liked in our school was we had some amount of extra curricular through the years like music art multimedia etc. Unlike my sister whose school had an integrated program and so much of academics! But yea I do feel and have heard my school did have elite folks and had a well unique dynamics.

no matter where you study, you will end up in same jobs and same universities. This school thing is a bullshit. It is more than the 4 year of engineering tuition in 2010 in nits. Education is overrated.
Because of parents like this (no hate) things are getting difficult for other parents. Education has become a business. Nobody is talking about Gyan. everybody is talking about costs. God i hate these corporate schools. For those parents thinking otherwise, send your children to cheap(cost wise) schools. take some time everyday and spend time with them and try to teach them something everyday. Don't play their(school's) game. play your own. all the best.

I studied for free in KV from 6th to 12th. I wish I had better access to social skills than I had at that time but rest was fine when compared to Indian standards. I am very sceptical about these expensive schools. I would chose to shift to a different country where education provides opportunities to kids to become thinkers, problem solvers, atriculative, innovative, empathetic and be grounded at the same time.

The only reason we have decided not to have a second child is school fees (take total expenditure) of our daughter. Yearly it is about 3 lacs. Still i don't see any significant difference in quality than my free education in JNV. My daughter saying she should have a sibling, ironically her education cost has permanently blocked that.

In Bengaluru, it’s a trend to create rat race among children to send them to expensive schools and making them over smart by taking up some fancy exams. The parents think that they have achieved a great feat by doing this. In my small hometown, most of the children have exceptional qualities than these over-confident high class children. The only perk of Bangalore schools is that they have good exposure to multitude of cultures and a strong command over English language. Period.
