- It was a stormy Thursday in the Pacific Northwest, but that didn't stop me from doing a mini chase of the Hillsboro Switcher. PNWR 3004 was the lead unit. I caught it at four locations. The First being Beaverton, second was along T.V. highway in Hillsboro taking empty centerbeams out to the mill. After a couple hours, I caught it in Scoggins and Forest Grove with a total of 12 lumber loads from Stimson, and two boxcars, the longest train I've seen on this branch.
Great video, Nic. I here this unit's horn almost weekly in Lake Oswego.
+Railfan Noah Thanks Noah! 3004 has been on the Hillsboro Switcher for a few months now. One of the trains that goes through Lake Oswego (Albina Local I think) uses the same power, so that would make sense.
Love the atmosphere. Rain/snow is my favorite weather. And of course, great shots!
