I thought I might just let everyone know that I recently ordered and received a MonsterTech cup holder that is now mounted to the pillar on my right hand side. It's fantastic and I'd highly recommend it as a solid accessory/upgrade!
Wow, thanks a lot for the help making the mounts compatible with Noblechairs. I am so grateful to everybody who is helping us out. Really good video by the way! Cheers Olsen
Fantastic video! Thank You very much for putting this together. 1 x Noblechairs Icon + 1 x MonsterTech Saitek x52 kit added to my shopping list. Happy flying and every success with your musical career. Cheers. :)
Thanks for the Video, i heard about them, but seeing them and also how they are mounted and what you get in the end...amazing. And i just checked them out and i can happily say, that they have a greatly extended availability now, so that also my Vertagear SL 5000 gets covered too.
Just wanted to say, Thanks for the video. Ive got a chair similar to yours but it has an extendable (and removable) footrest and this video helped ensure I'm going to order the right mounts. I also plan on getting the Throttle attachment (As I use a TM 16000.M Dual stick and Throttle setup) and probably the QR levers as well.
I ended up ordering the ICON chair, the Monstertech chair mounts and a few accessories (like the cup holder). Waiting for mt chair to arrive. Can't wait.
I have just ordered mine because of this video ( with the added quick release levers). your video might have been chaotic and not scripted but it was very informative.
mitchbruzzese I appreciate it man! Finding answers about such niche things online can be quite a scavenger hunt. I’ve looked at a lot of potential solutions including monitor mounts or desk clamped mouse pads. This solution looks fantastic and would be a good reason to upgrade my chair.
nh6central Cheers man! I have never tried the desk mounts, however I really do love my chair mounts as I can move away from my desk and have the controllers come with me in case I want to face a different direction, etc. It also feels really subversive as what I see in my Oculus is extremely similar to how it feels IRL!
@@cango75 Haha I was literally about to type that! Apparently the Markus Ikea chair is quite popular and kept coming up in the MonsterTech forums, so it looks like they've done something about that :)
Hi Jimmy, if you go to 2:37 in the video you'll see the chair as it was before the installation as I had only done one side at this point. The MonsterTech supports are held by a custom metal plate that replaces the original one that comes with the chair. th-cam.com/video/FQKnNmtTojQ/w-d-xo.html
Hello! Many thanks for that review. I also have an icon chair (totally love it) and i really want to set a monster kit for my thrustmaster joystick and throttle. I just have few questions: We have to switch the armrest, how does it feel in longer time ? I mean do you destroy the chair by sWitchning those armrest ? Could you confirm the FORM for the icon? (i think its form 1 from monster shop) Did you take the extension that allow you to turn the joystick so you can use your keyboard on desk ? Is it really solid ? Does the kit damage the chair after months of plays ? Thanks!!!
So sorry for the delayed response man! As far as I know, most (if not all) of the noblechair range is now supported by MonsterTech. I’d definitely recommend checking out their website/forums to be certain though.
Hey man, do you mean mid-game? If so, I rarely touch the keyboard/mouse when I'm playing so it isn't really an issue (I'll have to rig something up if/when space legs become a thing!) If you mean when I want to return to using my PC normally, personally I remove the controller platforms entirely and just leave the pillars in place as they're very unobtrusive. I even recently put some cheap stick-on rubber feet on the bottom of the platforms so that they sit on a nearby shelf when I'm not using them. Otherwise I would definitely recommend the quick-release adapters that MonsterTech sell as an accessory as they appear to work very well!
Ah yes, I haven’t needed to do that yet but I think if I did I would somehow install some kind of easily removable table/plank between the HOTAS controllers and put my mouse and keyboard on that.
They are compatible with quite a range of different chairs, and as far as I know MonsterTech is working hard to add as many types as they can. Just like @Cocatox said, hit up their forums if yours isn't listed.
This system really looks like THE THING for a hotas. I don't have it yet but I plan ordering it cuz I'm not too crazy about using my X52 pro on a desk. It's not very ergonomic and the devices are not very stable. The suction cups are terrible as they slide away so I took them off and put the HOTAS on a large Raser mouse and keyboard mat (Goliathus). It's not perfect but definitely better than suction cups. The problem with the Monstertech chair mount system is the price: about $400 Canadian for a pair including the shipping fees lol. That's ridiculous. I have a DX Racer chair but I really don't like it because of the stupid "side walls" on the sides of the seat that prevent the user to open his legs to stretch. I still can't understand why they designed it like this: Just like: NO WAY OUR CUSTOMERS WILL BE ABLE TO STRETCH THEIR FU%*ING LEGS! The seat is not even adjustable which make this chair half ergonomic. For the same price it's possible to find FULL ergonomic chairs that are much more comfortable. The only good thing about these racing chairs is the look and the 2 pillows that are included. I think I will check for a better chair before paying $400 for a mount system. Thanks a lot for your clip.
Hey man! Olsen at MonsterTech sent me out all of the gear to test with my new chair, so I’m not entirely sure what it would cost. Definitely check out the MonsterTech website to see how much it all comes to with currency conversion, shipping, etc. :)

Thank you again Olsen! You're a legend! :)
I just watched this guys video - and I am now going to order a Noble chair with your joystick and throttle attachments (and cup holder!)
I have to say I watched the entire video and honestly, this is the best MonsterTech demo out there. Thanks a lot buddy.
PC Peasants Gaming Thanks so much for the kind words man!

So glad I could help you decide! And thank you so much for your well wishes. All the best my friend :)
Thank you for sharing, your video convinced me. Great setup.
My pleasure man. I hope you love your setup as much as I love mine!

Timmy Ingelbrecht Glad you enjoyed the video! Informative was what I was going for :)
Glad I finally got a definitive answer about x52 being compatible with monster tech
Absolutely man! As you likely saw, I highly recommend the setup too.

Thanks for the vid !!! Great !
Great review man.
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review. I'm torn 50/50 between the chair and desk mounts. I think the chair mounts with quick release and cup holder might win out.

Quite jealous, that's a nice rig :) I'm looking at trying to do something similar but I'm stuck with my Markus IKEA office chair as a base!
... which after a quick look on the MonsterTECH site, I see they have a solution for... :-)
@@cango75 Haha I was literally about to type that! Apparently the Markus Ikea chair is quite popular and kept coming up in the MonsterTech forums, so it looks like they've done something about that :)
How are these MonsterTech supports holding? Are you able to stow your chair as before? I think that might be a problem for me afterwards.

Thanks for the work. Tip: Put your chair on a table or something if you want to build around it ;)
Haha that is an excellent tip! Cheers man :)

My pleasure man!
have there got a quick release mount yet ? cheers
Do you know a way to inverse armrest because it's a little short now i think (we had to inverse arm to mount the chair mount). Thanks.
Graouu Graouu I’m not entirely sure what you mean?
Thanks very helpful. Do you have Mouse Extension for Chair Mount ?
I don't have one as yet but I do believe that @monstertech are in the process of making some!
Hey man, xo you know if the other Nobel chairs work woth these kits? Like the EPIC or HERO?
So sorry for the delayed response man! As far as I know, most (if not all) of the noblechair range is now supported by MonsterTech. I’d definitely recommend checking out their website/forums to be certain though.
When you want to switch from hotas to mouse and keyboard - you are trapped with that mounts ? (when you cant switch them to the side like you said)

Thank you for the infos :) . I was thinking about games like Star Citizen where you switch between using hotas and mous-keyboard often.
Ah yes, I haven’t needed to do that yet but I think if I did I would somehow install some kind of easily removable table/plank between the HOTAS controllers and put my mouse and keyboard on that.
@@ghali3059 They have mouse/keyboard add-ons to these now. Basically it adds an elevated tray to the outer side of each pillar.
Are these mounts only compatible with certain chairs?
go to monstertech forum there you can give them your chair sizes and chair holes with pictures and they will take it in the sortiment

How much did I cost to get it all sent out mate?

It does not seem very stable, when you move the controller you can see that the base moves.
Gérald Coyotus Honestly it’s about as stable as it possibly can be!
