I’m glad to see someone else is on the road of building a awd 9-3 this is literally my dream bro keep on building 💯 I got a 2004 Arc convertible I’m trying to build at the moment it’s gonna be up and running soon hopefully I see yall on the road when I take a trip out that way
My car was on the ground first 👀 But forreal this will be light work for you guys, already have all the skills needed for the conversion. Car is gonna be a monster when its done!
Another awesome video man!!! Did you guys already purchased all the tizzy performance parts??? It would be cool to know what the plan is for this build, so maybe you can do a vid on that and your viewers can maybe input their ideas, you never know if there is anything you might have overlooked....also it would make great content for the channel!!
Let's gooo! For the algorithm you should probably have a more search friendly title for other saab people like "SAAB 9-3 [AWD Conversion] Episode 1: Fuel Tank And Rear Subframe"
Great! I will do same work in 10 days on the weekend! While subframe is on the ground, I advise you to check the bushings ! Thank you for SAAB content guys ! Im 2.0t FWD enjoyer , i dream about v6 AWD .
Love your builds boys, wish you could work on my 2.0 vector sport. Any idea if replacing my wastegate actuator would get rid of a pseky p0245 code ive recently gotten and lack of power from my TD04HL turbo?
I have a 2003 2.0 - having same code and a few other injector codes. Most likely the ecm failing. It’s a TI bridge driver chip that needs to be replaced - very common from the ecm getting too hot. Check out TH-cam vids for repair instructions - you can either get a spare ecm and program it with a tech 2 OR get into your ecm and resolder a new bridge chip into the board
@@inventorj Thanks for the feedback, i will be looking into it but in my case from what ive noticed is that the wastegate actuator was seiezed up. I manually cleaned it and worked it till it started moving freely but it seems to not be moving when reving the engine so maybe in my case its just a simple replacement. If it continues then i know where to look next. Thanks again
@@prolificbuilds I just had the Valve controler replaced and im still getting the codes p0204, p0203,p0202, p0201, p1682 and p0245. The mechanic is telling me that this is due to the ecm and will need replacing. They have quoted me €1,700 euros which seems steep as hell but i guess ill have to replace it either with them or by myself by cloning a salvaged ecm. Any ideas where is a good place to get a new ecm or a good refurbished one? From what i can tell the hoses seem good.
First, thank you for the great content you make guys. Its really awesome. I wanted to do the same for like 2 years. It looks like its very expensive to do it. Do you have an idea of how much will be the cost of everything. Thank you very much. Keep making progress!
If u have a donor car it’s pretty cheap. In this case we had all these parts sitting down from a donor car so didn’t really cost us anything. Since the exhaust is routed differently we’re gonna have to buy new material to make it over so few hundred bucks and labor.
@@prolificbuilds that sounds good man i think i will try that🫢. Can you please suggest what cars i can use for donors. And can i make it rwd is it that simple like 4 wheel drive.
Good luck in work boys.. You are true good People that keep these old Saabs running and tuning... Lovely to see 🙏i whis saab could come back one day.. They enginers that was building saab.. Build a electric version of saab in 11.months..that car beat tesla and some others just as a concept car.. Its Nice see you do the dirty work to.. I have been under cars al my life in snow and rain...i never have a garage.. Now i am older but i try do some dirty work under car also sometimes.. Right now i have a saab 95..2008..biopower..The gearbox is a weak link in saab i know... Bless You al boys.. From sweden 💪🙏🧙♂️
Seen so many vids of you guys, but sometimes I - as a European - just can't understand what you're saying, like on 13:20. Is this some local dialect or another language? Further respect for trying stuff others don't dare to do, love it.
@@The.NetherIands lol we try to speak properly when we’re going on the important parts. The other times we’re just joking around or the words are more easier to say to explain things between us

what do you think about saab 9-5 aeros personally i think there better than the 9-3s but i just wanna hear why you chose 9-3s over 9-5s
