Please someone tell me that I'm not the only one who picked up that they sing Walk Like a Man while doing Beyonce's iconic moves from All The Single Ladies.
There is an all girl acapella group... Citizen Queen.. they are awesome, too! Geoff (Voice Plays bass) did the arrangement for Home Frees cover of Elvira... Geoff is very talented and he and Tim Foust (Home Free's bass) sing in the Voice Play cover of Just Dance..which if you watch with the captions on will tell you who everyone is in the video. Thanks!
Awesome video. There is indeed an a capella group with a girl, they're actually the most well-known if I do say so myself. They're called Pentatonix. If you could react to Pentatonix's cover of Hallelujah, it's an awesome place to start with. After that maybe their Daft Punk medley, wich they won a Grammy with. For Home Free I HIGHLY recommend Champagne taste (on a beer budget). Super funny and represents the soul of the band pretty well. For Voiceplay, the Oogie Boogie's song has a bass that can blow up subwoofers, so I recommend it too. Super cool video man, keep it up!
I enjoy your self-deprecating humor. VoicePlay has several women who are often featured vocalists. Check out We're Good (w/ Adrianna Arellano), Little Mermaid (Rachel Potter), Wicked (Rachel Potter and Emoni Wilkins), We Don't Talk About Bruno (Ashley Diane) also in Running Up That Hill.
Rockapella is the oldest a cappella group. They started singing on street corners in the eighties, did a lot of TV in the nineties, and were big in Japan after y2k. They don't have any original members left, but they have been performing as a group since the beginning. They do a lot of original songs, and I recommend their video, "I'm in Luv W U". I think you'll like it. ... Guy
With Voiceplay: I recommend It Ain't Me, Any Way You Want It, Sh-Boom (Life Could Be A Dream), Tennessee Whiskey, I Will Survive, Boy Bands In 5 Minutes, or Can't Help Falling In Love!!!
Voice Play was all men prior to them being on the Sing Off (same season as Home Free). Then they decided to add a female to the group for the Sing Off. Her name was Honey. She kind of stole their limelight, in my opinion. She left the group shortly after the Sing Off. They’ve done better without her, in my opinion. I’m not knocking female singers, just that one in particular. Their were a few all female a cappella groups around, but I’m not familiar with any current ones. I enjoyed your reaction to Voice Play. They’re very entertaining, and super talented!
i agree.....i like their current line-up the best !!........only thing i feel slightly guilty about is that Earl left the group and i';m ok with that, cuz his voice always grated on my nerves.......i just didn't like the sound of his voice one bit. Wonder if they're getting a replacement ??.....love all the other 4, especially Geoff, i'm a bass girl.....LOL
The groups are: *NSYNC Jackson 5 The Beatles The Temptaions Frankie Valley and The Four Seasons New Edition (They changed it to all bass because Bobby Brown was a kid when he sang it) Bel Biv Devoe New Kids On The Block Boyz II Men 98 Degrees Backstreet Boys *NSYNC One Direction BTS
Forgot something... Home Free has a beat boxer that's off the charts along with the lowest bass. They have some really fun songs but can do serious songs with the best of them. Glad you have discovered the greatness of accapella.
If you haven't already, check out some if the Voiceplay songs fearuring female singers. Try Phantom of the Opera, Moana, The Grinch, Artention, ...lots to choose from. Rachel Potter is amazing with them.
All the accapella groups are great. It's crazy that there aren't any instruments.....but they all do their own style.....so don't get stuck on just one group that way you get the best of everyone. Great reaction. Thanks and stay safe. I'm a Home Free fan so I'm kinda biased. But you can't compare one to another. Some do Pop and some do country with other things mixed in. Just enjoy them all. I don't listen to a lot of Penatonix...not my age group, but everyone seems to like their version of Hallelujah.
Ok. You’ve now seen, heard and felt the three best basses in the world right now. Geoff Castellucci (VoicePlay) Avi Kaplan (PTX) and Tim Foust (Home Free). Enjoy this Ride! Tim is the deepest and most powerful but Geoff and Avi have voices like butter. You should check out “Tim’s Vibration” a little later in your journey.
Good A Cappella is really good at making you think you are hearing instruments. I found that I prefer listening to these groups, than band accompanied groups. I like to sing along even though I have no voice either...thank goodness for showers. Going to like this journey I think.
Pentatonix does have a female in their group. There are bass battle videos of the 3 basses you’ve heard (Tim Foust, Avi Kaplan and Geoff) you should react to one of them
Fantastic reaction. Can you react to VoicePlays song. Warrior (imagine Dragons) please its amazing. Layne beatboxes while playing a violin at the same time xx
CANDICE972 Can you react to NEXT TOWN DOWN "evolution of boys bands, girls groups, best of 2017, love medley,...) they are awesome. I'm a new souscriber
Shawn, nice reaction. Voiceplay tend to side towards theatrical I would say. Their "Moana Medley" rocks! th-cam.com/video/4nM5JZ6DL_U/w-d-xo.html If you want something a little different try "Citizen Queen". An all girl acapella group brought together by Scott, (and Ben Bram), from Pentatonix. They absolutely kill it every time. Pentatonix took them out on Tour as their opening act. "No Tears Left to Cry" is a good start.... th-cam.com/video/GgnHiz8B-aQ/w-d-xo.html
My favorite thing on youtube is watching people's eyes go wide the first time they hear Geoff 😂
Please someone tell me that I'm not the only one who picked up that they sing Walk Like a Man while doing Beyonce's iconic moves from All The Single Ladies.
Queen in 5 minutes is a another great one!!
There is an all female a-capella group 'Citizen Queen' Set up by Scott + a few from Pentatonix.
They also look like they had so much fun doing this one. You can tell they are all good friends.
If you like the bass in voiceplay Geoff pronounced Jeff. Then listen to their cover of oogie boogie song. He takes the lead
Yes!
This! Geoff pretty much shows his full range in that one (also it's a really fun song).

Voiceplay do have guest female artists on occasion for specific roles, such as The Little Mermaid.

I had a copy of my friend's Rockapella album in the 90s! I loved it whenever they were on Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego? Wish I still had it.

The groups are: *NSYNC
Jackson 5
The Beatles
The Temptaions

New Edition (They changed it to all bass because Bobby Brown was a kid when he sang it)
Bel Biv Devoe
New Kids On The Block
Boyz II Men
98 Degrees
Backstreet Boys
*NSYNC
One Direction
BTS
They get some flac for adding the older groups but if you think about it they were the OG's of Boy Bands. I love everything Voiceplay does so....
ELO'sMr Blue Sky is another good one.
Citizen Queen is an all girl acapella group. Don't know too much about them.

Consider it on the list!
