- This was a great song to come back to!!!! i have listened to the orginal since making this video and yes i have heard the song before and yes Superfuit and others did it better!!!!!

All of these beautiful people are apart of the LGBTQ group, and they dedicated this performance to the LGBTQ community a couple of months after the massacre at Pulse. Mary Lambert sang with Macklemore back in 2012 - Same Love (amazing song!!).

Mario is also in a video with Avi doing a cover of All About That Bass. It was actually kind of funny and really good also. Avi plays guitar in the video as well as providing those beautiful bass notes

Brian Justin Crum - America’s Got Talent. His cover of Creep will give you chills.
The group that Scott & Mitch put together for this song are all part of L.A. s LGBTQ+ community. Brian spent the summer of 2016 a contestant on America's Got Talent. Check out his covers of Queen's "Somebody To Love" (his original audition) and Radiohead's "Creep" (Judge Cuts round.) Mary provided her original song "She Keeps Me Warm" to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's song "Same Love.") Mario turns up all over TH-cam, including great collaborations with Scott and some really great tracks with the amazing Post-Modern Jukebox.
So... Mario Jose works with PTX while they're in tour. BJC has been on AGT and AGT:The Champions his most watched is his second audition with Creep and as others have said all five are part of the LGBTQ+ Community
In the documentary they did during their (I think) 2015 tour, they were always encouraging Mario's singing and at one of their concerts they surprised him by letting him know that he was going to be opening for them that day. He got a great audience response (as you would expect... he's got a really nice voice!).
@@bill.godwin-austen if I remember correctly they also secretly flew Mario's family in to be in the audience to see his first big performance.
@@bill.godwin-austen I may be wrong, but I think they gave him more warning than that. I'm almost certain they didn't spring it on him the same day! There's a PTXperience (tour vlog) episode that documents the moment they told him, and they said he would open for them "in Boston"; they weren't in Boston at the time. But I don't know how much lead time they gave him. Seems like a week or two.
Katy Perry's version is awesome! But Superfruit's and friends version is SO PASSIONATE. like it was said ! This was dedicated to all those who lost their life at PULSE nightclub in Florida!.

This song and performance still give me goosebumps every time. As others have already said, I think you would appreciate "Lost on You." It's an odd little song by a singer called Lp (you should watch the original!) and Scott had the idea of covering it layered over a Hans Zimmer soundtrack (for Inception, I think). It's an amazing mashup, and the vocals are really impressive. Passionate. You've never heard Scott sing quite like this.
This song played a lot as a theme during the Olympics, but outside of that it really didn't get much airplay and wasn't a big top 40 hit. You've probably heard it and not really remembered it. Check out Brian Justin Crum's performance of "Creep" on America's Got Talent. That is where he got his start.

Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi (Superfruit), along with Mary Lambert, Mario Jose, and the extraordinary Brian Justin Crum all identify with the LGBTQ community. And coincidentally, Hoying, Grassi and Mario Jose all went to high school together.

I spent a long weekend in a cabin up there one winter with my brother and one of our good friends. It was an interesting weekend. So cold! Sorry that’s my only UP story. I have been to Mackinac Island a couple of times. I have a friend who grew up on Torch Lake.
