Here in Tennessee it helps a little bit considering our price of electric is so cheap. Like 11 cents per kwh. Up in vermont it's double about 20 cents per kwh if not more not. I have a 1600 sq foot house all electric house and my electric bill runs about $60-100 a month 🤣
@@jaysonstebbins2539 For the wood DIY mounts, you used what looks like small aluminum brackets (the $20 brackets?) that are probably the L brackets. Thanks for responding!
@craighart7614 nope, just standard Z brackets is all I used. I overlapped them as well to save space. I actually laid the 2 4x4s down on the ground and attached the panels to the wood first then cut the remaining off and used the scrap for the legs. And the L brackets to connect the 4x4s in in the corners, and the hinges at the bottom.
Over the winter my panels are about 80 degrees & 2-3 feet off the ground to deal with snow. And so I've joined the over panel club. Cheers!
Nice
I need a set up! Would love to lower my electric bill

Jayson - Am planning on building mounts like yours - can you tell us what kind of brackets you used? Thanks.
@craighart7614 which brackets? The solar brackets which are Renogy Z brackets or the 4 inch L brackets for the corners?

@@jaysonstebbins2539 Thank you!
The racking sellers make this much more complex that it has to be!
