      Thank god she’s smarter than people commenting stuffs like this on youtube like they know better. She knew she had to lighten up her belt (better mix) and not using her whistle much bc these things will ruin her voice. Both heavy belt & whistle register put so much strain to her voice & will damage her vocal chords if overused. She experimented enough during her early days. She knows her voice now better than anybody.

    • @dancanvocals

      She definitely has more ease, and she definitely still has the power in her mid belts when she wants it, as I saw her live back in March 2020, and I was blown away by how powerful her voice could be. Although she definitely prefers to keep things lighter nowadays, probably to preserve her voice, she still sounds incredible though!

    In all honesty, this is a great video. I don't know why people keep saying she has no power or depth in her voice now. She just simply switched up her approach to the music she sings. Ever since 2018 I've really noticed that she opts to pretty much talk in the fourth octave. When she gets to about Eb5 then that's when she starts opening up (allowing more weight to come through).
    Also... Tori is one of the fullest singing mainstream sopranos out here. I'm not saying her voice is dark; it's very bright, but I am saying her approach to belts up there is very thick/full. If you compare her to Demi you'll notice that Demi thins out a lot (like a lot) past D5 at best. That's why she sounds super thin when she's above F#5. Tori on the other hand sings fuller, but with a brighter tone than Demi. Think about the vowel choices. Demi likes to do closed vowels (ee, ae) up there that promotes thinning and Tori likes to do open vowel that automatically pulls weigh up (oo, oh).

    Hell yeah, it's so good to see that her upper belts are improving! I really like her vibrato on her mid belting, it has that gospel/black baptist choir element to it. She still has some development to work on for her mixed voice, but since 2015, she's improved on it a LOT.

    Beyoncé, Jojo, Tori, Gaga and Jessie are the best vocalists in the industry. Christina, Ariana and Demi are also very good but these 5 are better vocalists.

    • @varunravi27
      @varunravi27 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mariah Carey and Patti LaBelle are better vocalists than all of these people so they would hold the title for best vocalists in the industry.
      Also, a lot of people really need to stop having the thought that Jessie J is in any way a better vocalist than Ariana Grande. Ariana is a far better vocalist than Jessie (she's literally almost as good as Tori). I am not discrediting Jessie in any way, she is truly amazing in her own right but Ariana is more consistent with her grounding, intonation, vibrato and several other things that Jessie is not as consistent with. But alas, Ari is no match for JoJo, Lady Gaga or Beyoncé.
      Also, why is Christina Aguilera, who is decent at best, being put in the same category as all of these other vocalists?
      I'm sorry if you thought I was being rude... I'm just standing by what's right and I really don't want to offend anyone in that process.

      @@odumosuolusegun2781 I'm not certain that she fakes ease. I believe ease is present, just not freedom, openness or neutrality. For a lot of singers, it's more about access to the note rather than the "technique", which is fine, it just comes at a cost. Ease is rather easy to obtain if you find a method that supplies it, as many singers do. It's not synonymous with pristine execution. Sometimes the latter can certainly guarantee ease, not always. For Tori, 'ease of access' is what she has, you can hear and see it. However, that particular technique robs her of other things, namely an open sound/fuller sound, and etc.,.
