I am.. was.. still am. This year has been the most I’ve ever played fighting games, and I’ve gotten decent. I can hold my own, lots of improvement left but damn have I gotten better
In the future I'm just going to give up on them entirely, it's probably best for my mental health and everyone else's. Everytime I play and I end up constantly losing to an annoying opponent, I get angrier and lash out at anyone who wants to talk to me, end up sweatier than a redditor from the fucking stress. Button responses are inconsistent as hell, game thinks I'm pressing button combos too slow, when I'm pressing them like the fucking flash. Other times the game thinks I'm too fast even though I'm pressing them slow. I have many more complaints but I'm fucking done.

@@kfusho-bq6kg just got the game TODAY since it was on sale, but all you have to know is , keep the options where you can see what you press. i used to button mash with shinnok on mkx because i didn’t know that i had to press it a set amount of times. but to really understand is to go slow, start the first string of the combo, then once you get that down try to go onto the second string. etc!

Animus Valus nobody counts frame, you have to remember the data in game to punish properly. If you know your opponents and your own characters frame data then you can punish after blocking

Also, consider doing a lab tutorial as a way to teach players how to further learn the game. it'd be highly appreciated so more players will be willing to stick with the game.
the 1 2 3 4 actually came from the button layout for the arcade cabinet games. low, medium, high and block. it's changed to fit the consoles controllers.

I've only recently been improving my skills in fighting games by going back to playing Injustice 1 and truly learning characters. I've established two mains since November of last year , Batman and Flash. Im EU aswell but i bought it from the US store on the xbox one. Changed region to US in settings and bought a 60 dollar gift card from g2a. So ill get it the 16th aswell. If you got it preorderd you could cancel it and try this. No idea if it works on ps4.
One thing that annoys me that I found out THAT NO BEGINNGER’S VIDEO IS TALKING ABOUT is during a combo you don’t need to input your special move fully. I believe you just have needed to have pressed the first input, a button then before your combo ends input the final input for that special. From a street fighter casual background that’s SO IMPORTANT to know! I also know via watching a lot of IJ videos.
I'm relatively new to fighting games such as this, and so far I've had most trouble with dealing with wake ups during my combos. I had no idea that meter burning back/forward 3 renders me invincible to a wake up! I appreciate you taking time out of your day to make a video that helps total noobs like me.
This will be my first fighting game so this is very useful. Still have to wrap my head around how each move is a different joystick maneuver, which needs to be strung together to make a combo type of thing. Mostly used to standard games where one button does a basic attack.
I probably can't explain it as well as Super but in general: You hold the d-pad or analog stick opposite the direction you're facing to block high attacks (basically, just hold back). To block low attacks, you have to crouch and hold opposite the direction you're facing. Middle attacks can be blocked either way. Those are the basics really. There's also more advanced techniques like block escapes and reversals though.
For someone who is looking to start fighting games with Injustice 2, this is an awesome video and exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks heaps man :D

3 questions: 1. Can someone have negative frames on an attack? 2. Can u counter attack if they have higher recovery frames (24) and u have lower attack frames (6) than recovery? 3. If your plus on block, can u keep doing the same combo?
The Golden LeRay 1. depends, how negative you are, if for example u are -5, if the opponent has a move with a startup less than ur quikest move plus those 5 he is negative, u can get punished. 2. a counter attack is strickly when u hit an opponent while they are in the middle of a move. 3. yes, if u r plus enuff to cover for the startup of the first move in the combo
The Golden LeRay 1. Attacks are always plus on hit due to hit stun, which allows you to combo, but hit stun degrades the more you hit the opponent, effectively ending your combo. 2. It all depends on if you hit or not. If you hit the opponent and can cancel into another move, you're good. If you whiff, they block or your attack has massive recovery and cannot cancel, with any recovery frames past 5 you're going to get punished hard. 3. If you're plus on block you can take an action but should access the situation. Ex: Your opponent blocked your whole string so you end it with a plus-special. You can move back in to apply more pressure and start baiting habits. If your opponent likes to do invincible reversals, you can rush in, block his attempt and get a big free punish, pretend to apply the same string but tick throw instead, try a different string or back up and zone. Moments like that are were fighting games shine competitively above all other genres.
The Golden LeRay I've played every game genre there is at this point, especially competitive ones, and I can tell you beyond doubt, from shooter to 4X and moba to card games, fighting games are the most technical, dexterous and mechanically-intensive games in existence. They're like Dark Souls times 100 and much faster and the most rewarding. As a result, that also makes them the hardest games to get into. You can find the best Dark Souls, Smite and Overwatch players in the world and they'll feel like a Krillin surrounded by Brolys in a fighting game.... but, the ones that overcome stay and never want to leave.

Hamzah Mohammad Each character has its own frame data. You've to think of the opponent too because a good player knows yours. Everything is based on frames. If one can't remember the full data, this is where visual memory comes into play. Practicing a move over and over will help you remember the move. ;-)
I've always played fighting games on PS4, but this time with Scorpio on the horizon I have pre-ordered Injustice 2 on Xbox. I'm good on PS4 pad but I know I will be ass on the Microsoft one until I adjust :3

I have a question, not sure if you answer it in the video. I don't want to spend 20 minutes watching this just to find out you don't so here it is. I'm learning the basics here and on the tutorial, it says "execute the bounce cancel combo. X,X,Y Special move cancel" then a couple more commands, the game tells me I can do the special move cancel but it doesn't tell me what to press to do so, can you please explain what it wants me to do?

My mind is honestly blown... Ive had this game for about 8 hours and im STILL throwing stationery jabs... I cant put a combo together with just about ANY character, everyone feels stuck in the mud... then i watch this video and you (or whoever this is) make these combos look ENDLESS!!!! and i cant even fuking START them!!! I REALLY want to like this game man but i just dont understand it at all and its is EXTREMELY frustrating!!! I put the cpu on very easy and im STILL getting my ass whipped terribly... This is honestly depressing... Ive wanted this game for so long, just to realize i have absolutely no idea how to play it... I could probably learn to read calligraphy before i can learn this clunky ass combo system

fyi, you can combo from d1,3 or4 in MKX, and you can super cancel off of them too, you can even combo off of d2 in the corner

The blocking system in Injustice is similar to most fighting games in that there isn't a block button.
can someone explain the blocking system?
I probably can't explain it as well as Super but in general:

So im guessing that frame data changes for the character your playing when you face different opponents, right?
Hamzah Mohammad Each character has its own frame data. You've to think of the opponent too because a good player knows yours. Everything is based on frames. If one can't remember the full data, this is where visual memory comes into play. Practicing a move over and over will help you remember the move. ;-)
I've always played fighting games on PS4, but this time with Scorpio on the horizon I have pre-ordered Injustice 2 on Xbox. I'm good on PS4 pad but I know I will be ass on the Microsoft one until I adjust :3
the first thing im gonna do in injustice 2 is go to practice mode and practice with all the characters so i can dominate through the campaign on hard.

Maybe when the game comes out you could do a video about easier to use characters and some fairly easy combos to get started with. This won't be my first fighting game but it's the first imma try getting good at thanks for the great videos and keep up the good work!

I have a question, not sure if you answer it in the video. I don't want to spend 20 minutes watching this just to find out you don't so here it is. I'm learning the basics here and on the tutorial, it says "execute the bounce cancel combo. X,X,Y Special move cancel" then a couple more commands, the game tells me I can do the special move cancel but it doesn't tell me what to press to do so, can you please explain what it wants me to do?
why dont people just use L=light M= medium and H=Heavy instead of numbers?

Hey super I didn't play the beta but there is one thing I would like to know about the new injustice. Could you grab an opponent while there in the air with a normal grab?
I can’t deal with pressure. It just feels like my opponent can just attack forever and ever and if I try even a poke after a string I’m eating a combo

My mind is honestly blown... Ive had this game for about 8 hours and im STILL throwing stationery jabs... I cant put a combo together with just about ANY character, everyone feels stuck in the mud... then i watch this video and you (or whoever this is) make these combos look ENDLESS!!!! and i cant even fuking START them!!! I REALLY want to like this game man but i just dont understand it at all and its is EXTREMELY frustrating!!! I put the cpu on very easy and im STILL getting my ass whipped terribly... This is honestly depressing... Ive wanted this game for so long, just to realize i have absolutely no idea how to play it... I could probably learn to read calligraphy before i can learn this clunky ass combo system
