I used to casually run this game many years ago, and it's been just as long since I watched anyone do a run of it. I've long known of the shoot-to-reset-fall-distance trick, but I've never seen that grenade-throw slide trick, or that ladder climbing glitch. Those really blew my mind, lol. Impressive run!
@@DjClayface Emulator and console are separated for Grant because the amount of the lag the game suffers especially in level one. You can lose up to 3 seconds alone. RetroArch is fine. Most of the rules are set on the leaderboards if ya wanna check it out. www.speedrun.com/jurassic_park_genesis
Haha i guess speedrunners never give away their tricks 😂 they are kinda like magicians. If you are not in the certain click/ group of people you wont learn it. Even though they say that speedrunning is the most open community and welcome all people. Ive been trying for years to learn stuff for my speedrunning. Very hard work for very little information 😂
@@cordaxg6261 hey if you're running a resident evil or SimCity on SNES, I'll give you help. When I live streamed my speed runs, people asked how I did things, I explained. Heck, some of them explained things I didn't know. I think it depends on the community

I recommend getting Discord and signing up on speedrun.com. Most of the resources are going to be there. For example, there's a Jurassic Park Speedrunning Discord for questions just like these. 😛

Fun fact. If you put in the code 'ASSHOLEE" with two 'e's at the end, it takes you to the Volcano level
