A wonderful detailed ship tour as usual. The design is so similar to Arcadia but the decor much nicer
Thank you! Love the decor of QE. She is pretty!
Beautiful ship tour. Could see ship's clock was at 6:15am! Brought back great memories 😊
Thank you, Erin. Yep.. I get up a wee bit early to get good footage w/o a bunch of folks in the foreground! Thanks for watching and taking time to comment!
Thank you Bob and Holly. Another beautifully presented tour with delightful music and thoughtful, informative commentary. Many thanks.
Maryann from Melbourne
You're very welcome, Maryann! Glad you liked it. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Thanks for taking us along a cruise line that intrigues me very much
Maybe it’s because of my age or perhaps my expectations of a cruise ship match that of Cunard. Keep up the good work😊
Thank you, Warren! This was our first time on Cunard, and we completely love the decor and the service. Off to Barcelona in a week to join Seabourn Sojourn, not quite as posh as Regent, but it will do🤣
As ever, thank you for watching!
You did a beautiful job showing a stunning ship. Thank you.
Thank you! We try to do high quality Vlogs and ship/room tours. Glad you enjoyed it!
Just another outstanding VLOG from the best duo in the business. I also was wonder how early you were filming to avoid virtually any people. Looks like 6am is the golden hour😀
So looking forward to this series. Must say, a wee bit disappointed it’s only four parts 😢
Thanks for letting us tag along. ❤️
Thank you! That’s such a lovely compliment!
Lol- you’re not the first person to notice how early I got up to film - that’s the job, if one cares about not having folks in the foreground and/or waiting for a shot/reshooting 4-5 times. If a venue is open and lit well enough, I’m probably getting up quite early to get that scene completed.
Sorry about only 4- in fact, about halfway through editing Ep 4 as of today - the rest are complete. Ep 4 is a bit of science lecture and nature cruise (separate items), and then a repeat of Butchart Gardens. We lost Ketchikan as a port 😞
You will very likely enjoy Ep 1; it’s the longest we’ve done, 40 mins, chock full of Yokohama and Tokyo. I usually prefer staying under 25 minutes. I simply couldn’t do it here.
Our next venture starts in a week, and that will end up with more episodes than four, I promise! As ever, thank you for your support and thank you for watching!
I just watched this video for the second time. Such a great tour of my favourite ship. We've had several cruises on her, the last one being just before Christmas 2023. The ship looks lovely decorated for Christmas.
Thank you, we really liked this ship; it was very first time on Cunard, and certainly made us interested to do additional sailings with them- we are scheduled for queen Victoria in July, and very much looking forward to the sister ship of Elizabeth.
I can imagine how pretty she is at Christmas!
A great ship tour again.
Thank you, Karen! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Oh yes! This is the one we have been waiting for 😍. What a lovely tour and it's interesting to see that furniture and carpets have been updated since we were on last August. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series ❤
Thank you, both! Glad it met Cunard experts' standards, lol! You're the second person to remark on new carpets; I guess we lucked out with a bit of a refreshed ship! We loved this ship, a great first impression on Cunard. Room tour, all of 4 mins, is next week. Vlog series begins July 21.
Thanks for watching and taking time to leave a comment!
I’m cruising on the Queen Elizabeth next year. This tour has been so good and our expectations are very high now!
Thanks, Trish. Have a wonderful cruise!!
Thanks for this spellbinding tour of an amazing ship. The music choice made it even more relaxing!
Hi Ivan,
You're very welcome! Glad you enjoy this ship tour of QE; we loved her.
Thanks also for taking the time to leave a comment :)
Thank you for getting up so early to video this tour! Beautiful ship! Thanks Bob & Holly! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thank you, Jan, that’s very kind!
Lots of people have noticed that clock as it turns out🤣
It's the best way to get footage without a lot of people in the way.
Nice video! Found you via Paul and Carole. Have had a lunchtime ship visit on Queen Victoria in Southampton and hope to cruise Cunard one day.
Thank you, Sharon! We loved QE- and are going on QV in July ‘24.
Thanks for commenting- enjoy the rest of our channel content!
Love! Thank you. Sailing on QE in October.
You’re very welcome, Edward! Glad it was of use to you 😊
Have a wonderful cruise!
PS Love your music
Thanks! I take a great deal of pride in the filming and matching the right music.
Great tour. Thx!
Hi J Perez… you’re very welcome! Glad you liked it. Feel free to reach out with any Cunard questions about the ship if desired.

I'm getting goose bumps! Stunning magnificent I was a little girl Huge"" darkblue Wall in the middle of the ocean climbing this swaying ladder. Wow!!
New Years!! My dancing Queen days
Abba" I was in heaven.
What great memories
Good memories.
I also found you via Paul and Carole! You do the best job with filming your video! The movement is slow enough I can really get a feel for the space and the accompanying music adds to the enjoyment! We will be on QE again soon so this has increased our anticipation! Thank you so much!
Barbara, you're very welcome! Glad you liked this video so much. QE, our first cunard trip, gave us a great first impression... we will be back with Cunard next year.
Thank you for taking time to make a comment!
I will be on Queen Elizabeth in January from Sydney for 10 days have been on her before so can t wait.
Awesome, Diana. You will have a great time on her!
Always lovely to spend some time wandering around a cruise ship with you Bob, great presentation as always. What a nice ship too, I saw her up close a few weeks before covid shut down cruising and the world, when she was docked in circular quay in Sydney. I wondered what she look like inside and now I know! 😊
Thank you, Pete! Our first time on Cunard, and we were very much impressed. She is lovely!
Yes, we were wondering how early you had to get up to take pictures of the public areas (mainly) without people - then we saw the clock near the Golden Lion Pub.
Glad the ship looks to be in great shape. We were last on the QE in 2013. The carpets have definitely been replaced, and the photo gallery has gone digital.
What port were you in - was this in Canada? Did you see much of Japan?
Thanks for watching, and no, definitely not Canada - since we started in Japan, and Canada was 15 days later, that would’ve been far too late to start filming a ship tour!
Filmed over parts three days, from May 25 through the 28th, if you are referring to I think the higher decks i.e. 10 and 11, I’m pretty sure that was Otaru, Japan.
We saw quite a bit of Japan, spent a lot of time in Yokohama, and Tokyo, five full days of touring, and then two Japanese ports before beginning the Pacific crossing.
Next week is just a room tour, which is all of about four minutes, but starting on July 21, is our four-part Vlog series - part one is a very in-depth look at Tokyo and Yokohama.
Beautiful ship. Makes me doubt that I own any suitable clothing to wear on her. 😊
Hi Howard. She is lovely! As to clothing, Cunard do have a traditional formal dress code, thought that is after 6pm and about every 3 nights in the dining rooms.
During the day, it’s perfectly casual.
Thank you for watching😊
Great ship tour, I usually take Princess.
On non formal nights do men have to wear jackets to dinner? On formal nights, would a dark suit be allowed.
Cunard has a great Alaska itinerary for next summer, I might bite the bullet and go.
Great video - my wife and I are doing the Alaska cruise late in 2025 on the Queen Elizabeth and can't wait. I was wondering if you have made any videos featuring the Queens Grill experience?
Hi Geoff,
Thank you, I’m glad you guys enjoyed it!
We have not made Queens Grill content yet, because we have yet to travel in that class of cabin (we do have Britannia Club on our channel).
If you look at the “home” page or “about” page of our channel, you’ll see contact information with email/Instagram messaging, our Facebook group, etc… regarding Queens Grill, I can comment on that to you directly about our future plans.
Thank you for watching and taking time to leave a comment!
I love how traditional this ship is, did it ever feel crowded?
No.. it felt rather spacious, a good space-passenger ratio, and yes, very traditional. We loved her.
Excellent video, what camera did you use? Also, why is no one on the ship?
Thank you, Garry! lol- there were plenty (1,300) of passengers, but I make a point of clean cinematography where I can- and try to not film(ship tours specifically) with people in the foreground 😄
The camera used was an iPhone 14 Pro on a gimbal, for extra stabilization.
Can you help, we are going on a cruise with cunard. QM2 Our embarkation time is 3.30. We will be threw iut if our hotel at 11am. Is it worth trying to go early. We will be oulling our cases about Southampton with no where to go. So i was thinking we shpuld just chance our arm and see if we can get on earlier! In your opinion from someone who cruises (this is our first wver cruise) do you ever be allowed on earlier than your allocated time? Much appreciate any advice you can give.
This was a ship tour of QE - did you find it useful?
As to recommendations for your cruise, imo, yes- it’s worth it to try to go early. Better to sit in the terminal environment and be there to wait than the hotel lobby. At least if you can’t board right away, you’re not going to be late. Good luck!
@@InnocentsAbroad this is true. Yes video was very good. I love ti her the different ships. Thank you for sharing
She's certainly a grand and beautiful ship.
Question, are all those "clubs" fee paying to access them?
I agree, Arthur- love that ship, very very pretty.
If you mean a fee for Britannia Club specifically, that is like saying, in Princess' parlance - Club Class Dining, with the added benefit of B, L & D, and a dedicated table no matter what time you show up; room location is more mid-ship than a standard balcony is, but that's pretty much it.
If you mean other than the Britannia Club Dining room bits, please let me know, and I'll adjust the answer!
@InnocentsAbroad I was refer to all the different clubs there are onboard? Ie queens club etc
Thanks for your information 😊
I think you mean Queens Grill, not club? That and Princess Grill, are different types of accommodations, and only people staying in those two highest categories can use the separate area that they share. we were not able to film it because we were not staying in that “privileged-ish” area.
The Queen’s Room, that massive dance area, is open to everyone - there’s absolutely no charge to use it.
No living quarters shown.
Because it's a ship tour - not a room tour. Watch the seperate video we have on that.
Cunard ships has same names for their eateries, and other recreational areas, which is monotonous and boring.
Some might call it traditional :)
