I got to preface this that this is a joke:
So we have a feat for Gurren taking down Brainiac.
Do the impossible, see the impossible, row row fight the power. For a multiversal genius, Brainiac is a dumbass for underestimating Gurren Lagann.
Wiz: Passing the torch, it can be quite a painful process especially if the person who came before you died like Hal Jordan and Kamina did.
Boomstick: Fortunately, these two inherited the will to grab the torch and run with it without burning themselves in the process!
Wiz: Kyle Rayner, former comic book artist and heir apparent to the Green Lantern ring that Hal Jordan wore.
Boomstick: And Simon The Digger, Kamina's younger brother and the new leader of the Dai Gurren Brigade.
Wiz: These two have not only matched the feats attained by their predecessor but have even surpassed them.
Boomstick: And both have the will that will pierce the heavens! He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick!

Possessed by Parallax (the later retconned-into-being giant yellow space bug of fear), Hal went on a killing spree of the green lantern corp to collect their power rings and remake his home city after it was destroyed. Kyle became the last remaining Green Lantern out there, and eventually Hal lost his life in the final battle. ...He got better.

I must say that this track has easily become my favorite out of all these commissioned tracks. Beautifully put together and really shows off the willpower of Simon and Kyle
I like the art it's creative that the galaxies has the lantern symbol and Simon is standing on a galaxy and absorbing the green lantern drill construct and white lantern
And if you look closely you can see the team Gurren symbol with the galaxies

100 Known most likely because of tho reasons.
1. Kyle did technically lose his white lantern form, but it is still he at the strongest. And Death Battle are usually putting characters at the strongest, with some exceptions like for example Dr. Doom. But Dr. Dooms got his God Emperor form stealing the power of several Beyinders, which is outside help for normal Doom. Which means God Emperor Doom won't appear in Death Battle unless they specifically are using him in that form.
2.. While White Lantern Kyle VS Simon is debatable, but Simon stomps Kyle if he only is a Green Lantern.
I’m told that there’s apparently a vocal version of this coming at some point. If so then I’m really excited, but if not I’m not too sad since this instrumental is already insanely good. That custom art is stunningly well done too

The climax has to include Kamina saying "believe in the you that believes in you!" In a flashback.

This seems to be an interesting matchup with lots of thematics connections and a close debate that could go both ways pretty easily (at least according to Death Battle, DC and Gurren Laggan fans). All I know is that this a matchup with a character I know little of and a character I know nothing about and if this matchup becomes a Death Battle then I'll get the chance to actually get to know and potentially like these two and see them be total badasses, and frankly, that's enough to get me hyped. And as for the track itself, as it is expected from the average Brandon Yates track, is INCREDIBLE! And just like so so many in the comment section have pointed out, the cover art is AMAZING, perhaps the best one in Brandon's channel, and when taking into considetation how good the average Brandon Yates cover art is, this should speak volumes for how good this one is. Brandon Yates, keep up the fantastic work.
Ever since I heard this was happening, I was looking forward to the day this commission became a reality and I'm going to be honest. Saying that the hype was worth it is genuinely an understatement as it is nearly impossible to put how much I love this track into words. You pretty much get the drill (yeah I know) by now, outstanding job as always.

If this matchup happens, it will likely be the highest scale battle to date (excluding chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro) and despite being a mute fan of current Lagan, and looking into Kyle, I genuinely cannot tell who would win. Either way, it’s going to be insane

@@Ira-mcst Wow I am very late sorry but anyway I just carefully listen to the melody and pick out where to place the oaths for each one and how I see representing like in the middle of the fight Kyle is push to his limits but remembers the Green lantern oath and pushes himself past his limit and near the end it sounded like Kyle breaks out into White lantern due to the of the music sounding like something for the White lantern oath you know anyway that’s how.

Before anyone starts asking “Will this Commission Track be the official Death Battle Music?”
No, it won’t. There’s a way to tell the difference, notice how the Official Death Battle Tracks have the Death Battle logo at the top of the Track Art, but the Commission Tracks do not. Brandon Yates has stated many times that these Commission Tracks are not to be used for the Official fights if they ever become real Death Battles (nor do they confirm that the matchups in question are happening for real). He or Therewolf Media will compose something else for the real thing.
Think of these Commission Tracks as sort of like Trial Runs that also serve to spread matchup ideas, and then Brandon Yates or Therewolf Media will try to one-up themselves for the real thing, IF (and that’s a big IF) they get confirmed.
That’s how it has worked in the past, and that is how it will continue to work in the future.

Simon is the main character of an anime about universe destroying robots that evolve during fights, and can warp reality.
Simon the Digger is the main character of _Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann_ which is a mecha anime that came out around 2005. It's famous for many things, including Kamina (a manly guy who serves as Simon's mentor/bro until his death), drills everywhere and serious escalation (The original Gurren Lagann is about the size of a regular building. The final form of it, Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, is far larger than our own universe).

Connections between Kyle Rayner and Simon the Digger is that they're bold but brave heroes, they both use literal willpower as weapons, are successors to the wielders of their weapons before them (Hal Jordan and Kamina) and have dated/married a villain's daughter.

A few Months go by and there’s only two of these? This is going to take forever 😒
I don’t watch Gurren Lagann or follow DC Comics, so if I get their characters wrong at all, please don’t be afraid to speak up and correct me, I plan on making a more refined version of this script on the Vocal Version, but with that being said, let’s begin shall we?
Startup: the fight takes place within the depths of space, we see the Green Lantern Kyle Rayner sitting on an asteroid, painting a picture of the stars, moons, planets, and constellations, taking in the beautiful scenery in front of him, when suddenly something bursts through the ground in front of him, a rock fragment gets sent flying towards Kyle and knocks into him, his canvas, and his paint pots, accidentally spilling paint all over his artwork and ruining it. That’s when “Will of the Drill” Cues

A small mechanical head with a drill attached to it bursts out of the point of impact, with someone riding atop of it, it’s Simon the Digger and the Lagann, Simon gets out of the Lagann and looks around, he appears to be looking for something
*Simon: now, where is this strange energy source coming from?*
*Kyle: Hey! Do you have any idea how long that took me?!?!*
Simon turns and sees Kyle, and his now ruined painting, and realises what happened
*Simon: oh man, I’m real sorry about that, I swear it wasn’t on purpose, I was just in a bit of a hurry, that’s all*
Just then Simon hears a beeping noise coming from the Lagann
*Simon: oh uh, one second, I gotta check that*

But just as Simon turned to go to the Lagann, he walked straight into a force field created by Kyle’s ring, and is soon trapped inside a bubble
*Kyle: I wasn’t finished! This sector is under Lantern Corps jurisdiction, you’re trespassing, and with some kind of galactic super weapon at that, I’m taking you in*
*Simon: taking me in?!?! Just who the hell do you think I am?!?!*
Simon takes out the core drill and starts to use spiral energy to drill through the force field
*Kyle: you’re a suspect who’s coming with me, that’s who- wait what?!*
But the bubble begins to crack…

Until finally it breaks open and Simon jumps out
*Simon: sorry but I’m busy*
Simon runs back to the Lagann to try and get away, while Kyle figures his ring might be running low on fuel, thinking that’s how Simon broke out, so he grabs his Green Lantern Battery
*Kyle: In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight, Let those who worship evil’s might, Beware my Power, Green Lantern’s Light!*

Simon reaches and boards the Lagann, Kyle’s ring is now fully charged and gives chase, the Lagann forms a drill on its forehead and charges back at Kyle, who blocks with a construct of the Mastodon Zord Shield, and smacks him away into a nearby asteroid, Kyle then forms a Slam Cannon construct, which loads an asteroid into the back and fires it at Simon, hitting him dead on, fortunately Simon protected himself with a force field made from spiral energy

As they fight, Simon realises quickly that Kyle is too strong for him to beat with just the Lagann alone, so he races away while throwing asteroids back at Kyle in an attempt to slow him down, Kyle dodges as best as he can by doing barrel rolls in his R-Wing construct, the Lagann drills through a particularly large asteroid and disappears, Kyle approaches thinking he has nowhere to go, when suddenly an even bigger asteroid is thrown at him from behind the first one, Kyle quickly creates a MG Excelsus construct which slices through the asteroid in two with its building sized sword, Kyle passes through…

Only to see that Simon is now piloting the Gurren Lagann, which spouts a pair of wings and takes off in a massive loop-the-loop
*Simon: GIGA DRILL BREAK!!!*
A massive drill appears on the Gurren Lagann’s hand and charges straight at Kyle, which Kyle avoids by creating an RX-78-2 construct and blocking the drill with his shield, despite this he still got pushed back miles away, no matter how hard Kyle resisted it still wouldn’t stop drilling forwards, this drill attack was stronger than Kyle thought, so he grabbed a Beam Saber from his back and slashed at the drills sides

Finally Kyle managed to push himself out of the way of the Gurren Lagann’s flight path, transformed the Beam Saber construct into a Star Saber construct and fired an energy beam back at Simon, clipping its wings, but just before falling out of control, the Gurren Lagann threw its visor like a boomerang at Kyle, which was then deflected by a giant frisbee construct from Kyle, but Kyle didn’t have time to defend against what came next, as he was immediately struck into another dimension by an even bigger mech from Simon…

The country sized Arc-Gurren Lagann, which crosses over with Kyle to the other dimension, Kyle follows up by summoning various Kaiju constructs to help him fight back, namely Godzilla, Ghidorah, Rodan and Mothra, then started creating a new construct while the Kaiju’s were busy dealing with Simon

The Arc-Gurren Lagann gets all four of its limbs held back by the Kaijus, Simon tries his best to shake them off, but to no effect, then a shadow looms over them, Kyle has created a embigened version of Mechagodzilla, holding the Boomix Battle Gear over his shoulder (a giant shoulder cannon), which charges up, meanwhile all five Kaijus blast powerful energy beams from their mouths directly at the Arc-Gurren Lagann’s chest plate, before finally the Boomix is all powered up and blasts the AGL though a rift in time and space

The blast effortlessly pushes Simon though the vortex and he pops out in yet another alternate dimension and crashes into Snakeway Road, Kyle not too far behind, both mechs grab onto each other as they destroy the bridge, punching each other and desperately trying to tear the other apart, travelling all the way along the road, destroying the whole thing, all the while ripping open tears in the fabric of reality just by punching each other, one of which lead to the Cathedral Terra that belonged to Lordgenome, so Simon punches a hole through the Mechagodzilla construct and charges through it to reach the Terra

The Arc-Gurren Lagann combines with the Cathedral Terra and becomes the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, which sprouts several large cannons all over its body, and fires several laser beams into all directions, the beams then cut holes through reality and transport themselves to Kyles location, who was still in the dimension with what was left of Snakeway Road, they come at him from all directions, but Kyle uses his Green Lantern Ring to create a vacuum and absorb the energy beams, recharging it in the process, though he does get hit by some, he then opens several portals and blasts a massive energy blast that splits apart and gets sucked up into the portals and transport themselves straight back at Simon’s dimension, who then absorbs it all straight back into the core drill with Spiral Energy, and fires it through dimensional rifts again

And before either of them realise it, they’re playing a game of Volleyball with multiple laser blast while in separate dimensions, both doing their best to deflect the giant lasers while they’re shooting back and forth like bouncing shooting stars, making for a spectacular light show, until Simon has finally had enough

He then has the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann create a massive drill which pierces through dimensions…

And drills straight into Kyle, piercing his chest and pushing him away while the bouncing laser blasts finally collide and explode behind Simon, the explosion causing temporal distortion throughout the multiverse

Kyle’s chest has been pierced by the moon sized drill but his Willpower is still going strong, helping him hang in there despite the incredible pain he’s in, while they zoom through space at hyperspeeds, the temporal distortion causing them to then start breaking through the fabric of reality, shifting between more and more dimensions and universes until they’ve entered a new plain of existence

Kyle has now become a White Lantern and Simon has now upgraded to the Galaxy sized Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, sh*t just got real, Kyle begins to shine brighter than any star in the whole cosmos, blinding Simon for a moment, before the light dies down and the symbols of all of the other seven Lantern corps light up the sky, and out from each of these symbols spawn Galaxy sized mechs and Kaijus to fight for Kyle, Red spawned Spyderfencer, Orange spawned Grakas Hound, Yellow spawned Brachium, Green spawned Spitarm, Blue spawned Grafias, Indigo spawned Dark Hound and Violet spawned Neo Dragonoid, who then combined into Maxus Dragonoid

Maxus Dragonoid breathes fire at Simon and shoots several lasers at him, the TTGL creates a force field that blocks all of the incoming projectiles, while Kyle creates a planet the size of a Galaxy and lobs it at Simon, but the TTGL creates a Galaxy sized cannon and catches the planet by loading it into the cannon, then fires it back at Kyle, who just phases through it, he then manipulates Maxus Dragonoid’s movements and the two galaxy sized mechs duke it out, TTGL shoots probability warping missiles at Maxus Dragonoid which pierce through his laser blasts, Dragonoid grabs TTGL by the leg with his massive claw arm and smashes him into the Galaxy sized planet that just came back through a portal that Kyle made, or at least that was the intention, cause TTGL just teleports away before the planet can hit him and smashes into Dragonoid instead, blowing up and sending Dragonoid flying off into the depths of space

Kyle creates and launches millions of giant rockets at TTGL, who in turn fires probability altering rockets back at Kyle to counter them, their rockets hit each other and explode, but Kyle can for some reason feel damage being caused to him, while some of Kyles rockets managed to slip past and hit the TTGL, but they barely did anything to it, TTGL then punch’s Kyle so hard reality breaks like glass and shards of the fabric of reality tear away, revealing more and more universes, dimensions, alternate timelines, and plains of existence, then TTGL and Kyle create galaxy sized swords out of these shards of reality, their clashes just tear more and more holes in space and time, Kyle pushes Simon off with an energy pulse that warps quintillions of stars around them into supernovas, and shields himself with a hardened force field barrier, but TTGL just summons more Spiral energy from the universe and warps the supernovas into his own Spiral Universe inside the TTGL, which powers it up countless times over

But suddenly Maxus Dragonoid returns, riding on a White Lantern Construct of Dragonoid Colossus, who is equipped with his Blasteroid, Nukix, Beamblitzer and Axator Battle Gear, it fires several reality warping lasers at TTGL, who in turn sprouts massive drills all over its body and drills through them all, while resisting the reality manipulation Kyle is trying to pull against him, Colossus then Bites down on TTGL, who struggles to keep Colossus’s mouth open, Colossus then breathes white fire on him
*Simon: GIGA DRILL BREAK!!!!!!*
TTGL creates a drill even bigger than itself and pierces through the fire and through Colossus’s body, blowing him up and taking Maxus Dragonoid with him, but they then glow and transform back into tiny balls of different coloured light, and return to Kyles ring
*Kyle: let me give it a go, GIGA DRILL BREAK!!!!!!*
He then uses their energy to create a galaxy sized drill of his own, Simon and Kyle charge straight at each other and their drills collide, tearing the already shattered multiverse apart even more, while infinity shaped energy waves get sent throughout the numerous wormholes

As their drills dig into each other, their Willpower matches each other blow for blow, until Simon’s mechs start to break down, the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann breaks apart back into the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann, which then breaks back into the Arc-Gurren Lagann, into the Gurren Lagann, then the Lagann, and finally down to Simon himself, but despite this, Simon doesn’t give up, but Kyles Willpower is something else, and he’s running out of options
*Kyle: gotta admit, you’ve got some serious Willpower there kid, if things were different, you’d make a good Green Lantern, but this fight ends here, you may have mastered Willpower, but I’ve mastered the entire emotional spectrum, I’m Way ahead of your time!*

Multiple versions of Simon and his Gurren Lagann mechs attack multiple different versions of Kyle, which in turn somehow affects the real Kyle, he’s being attacked from the past, present and future, all at once, and he can’t even see Simon anymore, as they are not in the same universe, Kyle can’t believe how powerful Simon is, but he will never give up, so he uses the one thing in his arsenal that will give him a fighting chance against this beyond otherworldly threat…

But it turns out he can't have it, since it was way too powerful for even him to handle, so he divided its power into seven other white lantern rings. So I guess Kyle won't be having the life equation for this fight.
