    All the old concrete that came up looked perfectly good on video. Did it suck IRL?

    Holy hell that was a lotta work Timmy and team! Great job 👏💕👍 Huge job, great landing that though, good money. Loved the saw guide, smart thinking👍
    PS- do you have to use a special mix to bond the coping to the old underneath it? 🤔

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it's better not to bond

    I love the way you edited this. The time lapse with music or narration over top - hitting the significant points - just perfect! Thanks for sharing these projects with us. I never would have thought you could make a 2 x 10 curve like that without breaking... slits and soak in water... okay. Well, now I know.

    Thank you David Odell and all your workers who do just awesome craftsmanship in a very tough medium. And concrete is hard to work with all the day long. I worked alongside of concrete workers as a carpenters assistant over 40 years ago and I still marvel in remembrance of their skill and dedication.

    • @OdellCompleteConcrete
      @OdellCompleteConcrete  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can put them a lot closer together because they’re hardly noticeable and since they’re closer together the coping won’t crack. They also look a lot cleaner.

    When you’re setting the cantilever forms, we always just set a transit or laser level in the middle of the pool. Then we choose the highest point in the shotcrete to go off of. Y’all probably know this though lol

  • @MikeHarris1984
    @MikeHarris1984 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Oh wow, thats SUPER bad to connect runoff to sewer system.... That is illigal in almost all municipalities. If an inspector ever saw that, the home owner could be in for a world of hurt. Rain runoff needs to go to the street, where the city rain water collection system cant pick it up. that is seperated from the sewer and is NOT TIED in most places. Some older cities that built their storm and sewer systems together and havent been split due to cost and the size of those places is so tiny, deal with sewage a diff way. But if the storm is tied to sewer, that overwhelms the treatment plants with massive ammounts of exxcess water, and places like Phoenix that COLLECT storm water in MASSIVE underground and above ground tanks to treat and send as treated water and clean water for the Purple water lines. But if you drain your pool, you must always drain INTO your sewer as that water is full of chemicals and must be treated. It can not be fed into the storm drains where it can contaminate clean water and possibably kill local wildlife and such.
