    Love your comment about Run what you Brung. We will be relocating to Central Alberta from the greater Vancouver area. so will be good to figure out what changes we will need to make.

      Absolutely, it's the only way to really determine you actually need VS want at least that's what I think.

    I had to do exactly what you did in the video as well. After I got everything mounted to my bumper we had a hell of a time trying to get everything lined up. I had to relocate the airbag sensor and the bolts holding it, cut one of the steel support tabs that holds the front grill, move the winch solenoid over as far as it would go then I was able to get my X2O in. Glad you got the winch in, it’s a game changer! I’ve used mine probably six times already.

      yea it seems to be a fairly standard process for this winch bumper combo. I'm hoping not to have to use it be let's be honest I'm gonna be overconfident now that I can get myself out of typical upsets.

    I had a hard time seeing where you mounted the "brain" of the winch. Will be making an attempt to mount a Badlands winch with a removable controller, too. I'll have to see if you ever made brackets for ditch lights on the hood. Thanks for the video.

      It's literally just ziptied to the upper edge of the rad support couldn't find a better spot close enough to access the remote switch.

    First thing I did when I bought my Frontier was to upgrade my headlight bulbs to Katana adjustable LED I really wish someone would make a grille that looks better

      I have been meaning to do the same, ODX is a company here in AB I believe that makes some great headlights, pricey tho

      @@BlindmanOutdoors Your winch is concealed my only thoughts are to keep a winch worry free is to make sure it's covered from the elements. i've always had a cover and never had a issue

    Wrong Fairlead for the steel cable.

    • @BlindmanOutdoors
      @BlindmanOutdoors  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea i had a feeling in the back of my mind that I would be trying synthetic eventually so i decided to rock it anyway as it was the only one i had on hand that didnt require me to drill new holes in the bumper.

  • @TreeLovinAdventures
    @TreeLovinAdventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What are you going to do about the fairlead?

    • @BlindmanOutdoors

      What do you mean? It's on already

    • @TreeLovinAdventures
      @TreeLovinAdventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlindmanOutdoors that is a synthetic fairlead. Wire fairleads have rollers.
      The wire line will eat through that fairlead.

      @@BlindmanOutdoors unless its a steel fairlead. But they sre usually aluminum

      Ah gotcha yea good catch, I'll have to find a fix for that cause I have no interest in running a roller fairlead or synth line
