    I think its super cool when you feature friends or other people who have been on the channel previously. You should be proud that you can set foot on nearly any Continent and have friends waiting. 👍
    Would like to visit Sea Otter sometime. I've only been to Laguna Seca for the MotoGP as a motorcycle helmet vendor.

    I have the RedShift suspension seat post on my gravel bike 👍 can certify it's qualities in dampening the ride for comfort

    Loving the Matt Jones cameo! As a mountain biker to roadie convert I’ve followed him for years! Own a lot of his clothing range!

    I like seeing all the nice bikes with some spacers above the stem! I always get a little self conscious about my "chimneys" as someone once called them, but like to keep my options open.

      Position can change on a yearly basis what was comfortable 6months ago could be painful now. As I found out. As long as you’re not going to your eye out who’s cares.

    All these fancy carbon gravel rigs are heavier than I thought. Makes me realise that my custom steel gravel bike is not that heavy after all at 9.3kg incl pedals, bottle cages and Garmin mount.

      Carbon is not necessarily a light material, and the components are a lot heavier than they used to be.

      Same thought here. My stainless genesis equilibrium from 2014 with 2 x chainset, full mudguards & pedals size large is about 9.5 kilos.

    My steel gravel size L (carbon fork) weights 10.7kg on 40mm Cinturatos, 2 Fidlock bottle holders, Wahoo Bolt2, double-sided Shimano SPD/platform pedals, Knog rear light... I thought it was heavy, now I think it's fine. :D

      Full alloy built like a tank low level gravel bike from Fondriest (Italian manufacturer). Alloy fork, sram apex groupset fulcrum racing 4 wheels, continental 40mm tubeless tires. 11 kg with pedals/bottles/cages/mounts. Not bad at all.

    Great video and i’m glad that my cannondale Topstone 0 isn’t as heavy after all😊. 10.5 kg for the xl framesize with 32 spoke heavy duty wheels and on top of that an 94kg rider….lol😊

    Lol, I'm living at the first floor. I'm pretty much aware if I'm one-handedly lifting my Canyon Ultimate CF SL 7 or my Giant Roam XR1 up the stairs, there is roughly 4-5 kg's between them 🙂

    My gravel aluminium low end bike with dynamo hub, bottles, toola and bags is very heavy, 16kg! 😅. Love my bikes

    Funny how my Titanium Lynskey Pro GR w/ 44 tires is lighter than that S-Works Crux. For half the price. In all fairness he did have a saddle bag on tho. 😆

    Most people thought their bikes are lighter.
    Meaning : modern bikes are DECEPTIVELY HEAVY.

    I was about to buy the new Diverge STR and empty the coffers........lost my nerve and decided to save over 7K by putting a Redshift seatpost and stem on my bike and they are magnificent!

    Funny how the guy with the Specialized thought his bike would be 1.5kg lighter than it actually was. Shows how strong the marketing is from the bike companies. You ain't getting sub 8kg with disc brakes unless you are spending insane amount of money.

    UCI regulations allow 6,8KG. Pretty bad that no one is this close. But gravel bikes and MTB are heavier in general.

      Yeah. I reckon the ‘out of the box’ weight would be close to his 6.5-7kg estimate, without the saddle bag, head unit and mount, bottle cages and pedals, but with thinner tyres.

      Internet bike weights are always without mounts, cages, bags and pedals, so it’s makes sense

      @@rob-c. Thats true. But also: all those things (pedals, cages etc) are put on by the owners themselves. Somehow they have forgotten that, and still think the bike’s weight less as factory weight. Which is funny. Weight is still a big thing in cycling, less = better.
