    I've owned an Xmax for 3 years now & never had any major problems or issues. This Xmax is the most popular motorscooter in my country, Singapore. I am glad that you like the scooter despite those problems you had with the scooter. Cheers to you buddy.

    I have the same scooter. I’ve ridden many motorcycles over the years but this scooter is probably my favorite. I’ve had none of the issues that you talked about but it’s garaged unless we are out in the motorhome and then we put it on a trailer along with my wife’s Smax. BTW, you can open the seat with your key once the seat stays locked shut like it should. I recommend keeping a spare 2032 button battery under the seat for your key fob. If your battery dies you’re sol without a spare battery. Safe travels!

    Jerry, Jerry, that's one filthy scooter! Looks like straight out of Mad Max Road Warrior movie! Joke aside, nice review, detailed and on point. Just to put you at ease, I have the same machine as my "shopping trolley". Zippy thing with the big storage under the seat.

  • @guysmith3146
    @guysmith3146 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    That's looks like one uncared for scooter. Your switch problems look to have been caused by dusty conditions while the scooter is on the back of the RV.

    • @guysmith3146
      @guysmith3146 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@jerrydixon How do I see it as uncared for? The beat up plastics for a start. You have problems with your starter and indicator switches, which by the condition of the scooter looks like dust/dirt ingression to me. I,m a xmax300 owner and I am on various forums, never heard of bodywork plastic problems or switch problems. The V belt is in the big plastic casing on the offside, it does what a chain does on a motorcycle. As far as your starting problems go, I would have a service done. With the bike looking like it does, the air filters probably want a good clean/replacment.

    Mine will be a year old at the end of the month. I don't have any of the issues you have. However I clean mine regularly, so maybe that's why. 😏 Try some WD-40 electrical contact cleaner for the switches.

    Thanks for your review. I am in the market and the xmax300 is near the top of my little list and I have watched a number of these reviews. FYI ... it would really help if reviewers gave their height and weight because different bikes suit different size people. Enjoy your bike, it seems a very capablepiece of machinery.

    Jerry, Your problem with your swicthes might be beacuse you haul it on your Rv and it is exposed to rain. Try squirting some electrial cleaner into your turn signal and startrer switches, DO NOT USE A PRODUCT LIKE WD40, it will short circut the switches. Be sure to use an electrial clean like CDC. I've had some of the same troubles on motorcycles over the years that were exposed to rain. Hope this helps.

    Wow so many problems and you still like it. Below in the comments you say you cannot get it worked on due to availability. Was curious if you bought it in your home town, and if so the dealer where you bought sure as hell should help you out, but with employee shortages everwhere I could understand it taking awhile. If you did buy it there couldn't you leave it and live without it for a month and circle back to pick it up?

    I have had the xmax 125 -18 for comuting everyday for half a year and doing two up for vacation, 4400 miles to this day, not a single issue, now I have bought a 300 it's flawless to. It seems to me that the European model is very different to the American, (or international) model, saddle, keyswitch, panels, instrument is completely different and the break fluid cable does fit as it should not hanging out like on your, looks strange and aftermarket. And warranty, you only have one year in US 🤯? in europe we have 5 years warranty without mileage restriction, maybe that could have to do with the problems of different quality of different models. Also yours is very dirty and beat up, if you wash it once in a while maybe things don't get stuck like that. It's after all not a 20000$ adv bike.

    Maybe why you're having those problems is because you aren't washing the scooter, it needs to be washed properly at least once a month to flush the crap out of the switches etc so they operate correctly.
