    It's rediculous that the natural way of breathing actually needs to be taught, but for me this is really helpful.

    I learned this in a Chi Kung class taught by Stuart Alve Olson decades ago. It had a "Oriental" emphasis of course. But this is a great summary of the principles involved.

    I know that's the correct way but after I try a few breaths the correct way there is urgency to reach up for air and yawn because it feels the air gets trapped in the trachea and because it cant go anywhere else it just has to leave again so I yawn for relief. It's very frustrating to do the right way and not feel it come in completely

    Thanks a lot for this appropriate explanation. I have definitely made mistake of sucking air whenever I tried different types of deep breathings even though my body did tell me not to do. MAM can you guide & suggest certain guided exercises for doing normal deep breathing & alternate nostril breathing. Shall be very grateful.

    How do we talk and not breath?
    Preferably with our mouth. Closed.
    My brain doesn't seem to get it, this seems to hinder my speech, but......?
