I love my HDJ81, 1990 as well. That looks like the original color that was on mine. Great video.

i have the same HDJ81 cruiser here in Canada. It's also a 5 speed but it's got factory lock out hubs and part time Transfer case, no AWD or ABS. I love it but on the highway the 5 speeds are geared too low. Optimal 2k rpm rev is @ 90km/h with the factory 4.10's. At 120km/h, you're looking at around 2.6k and that's with larger than factory 33" tires!

Exactly the same as my HDJ81 only mine is an Auto. (A442F).

Is there many Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series available for sale in Australia now ? In the Europe they are really rare, only about 5 areon sale in the UK from Ebay,Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace and Autotrader combined. How easy and how many are currently able to buy in Australia?

"Window flairs". Those are window visors so you can let in fresh air if it's too cold for ac but not also drown on air from outside. You can also leave the windows a bit open overnight so the car won't smell of something damp the next day.

Alvin Andre yes, also if it's raining. You can crack your window and it won't rain inside

Is there going to be a season 2? I absolutely LOVE in the shop. I come from the "car guy" side of overlanding, so I don't really care what's "in the shop", so long as it's something someone built, uses, and loves. If I ever found myself and my truck featured on here, my life would basically be complete.

Such a nice rig. 16 to 18 mpg is pretty good. We are currently getting 16 mpg on our 2016 4Runner.

In the near future I'll import one just for taking the HJ80 frame and that diesel engine, cut down the frame by 6" inches and put my FJ62 body on it.

I don't care how much corn amd wheat you can sell. It will not pay for this type of building neither will restoring or repurposing older vehicles.

I believe they said in one of their videos that they are cattle ranchers. Sounds like a great family business. Don't be hating.
My humble salary affords me a Chevy Trailblazer for a rig.

This team has put in a ton of hard work, to put on a major production showcasing Adventure Traveling. Because of their dedication, hard work, and talents, they have picked up some very good sponsorships. This is earned success, and should be appreciated as such.
