Lol. That sweet potatoes was premium tears. Fortunately I just had my baby so just pureed it for him. Lesson learnt

Do you find these are softer than our Nigerian ones? Bought the Japanese yams recently at Super Store on a friend's advise, and yes- they were exactly likes our Nigerian ones but wayyyy softer. I even skipped the boiling process and went straight to oil/air-frying, but they were still quite soft.

They are a tad softer so I don’t boil them. I cook them in the microwave or oven.

I bought the Japanese yam, yet to cook it, i how it comes out well. I don’t know how to qualify that orange flesh one..😢😢😢.
Ronke how about Taro roots? Is it the same as the slimy one used in Igbo soups? Or the regular cocoyam that can be boiled and eaten?

Lol lol, I cant stop laughing. So they typically have two kinds of taro, the smaller ones (you will find them at superstore and walmart) can be pounded for ede. I will do a video next time i go to the store.
