    Wooooo!!! That was tight & fast. Good thing Pia still managed to start well again after the first run was cancelled. Poland women runners are still despite lacking in length. Ned - Visser was really there along with Fra - Bapte. Its going be awesome to see these 3 against PR - J. Camacho & Nig - T. Amusan.

    Abstract
    The simple auditory reaction time is one of the fastest reaction times and is thought to be rarely less than 100 ms. The current false start criterion in a sprint used by the International Association of Athletics Federations is based on this assumed auditory reaction time of 100 ms. However, there is evidence, both anecdotal and from reflex research, that simple auditory reaction times of less than 100 ms can be achieved. Reaction time in nine athletes performing sprint starts in four conditions was measured using starting blocks instrumented with piezoelectric force transducers in each footplate that were synchronized with the starting signal. Only three conditions were used to calculate reaction times. The pre-motor and pseudo-motor time for two athletes were also measured across 13 muscles using surface electromyography (EMG) synchronized with the rest of the system. Five of the athletes had mean reaction times of less than 100 ms in at least one condition and 20% of all starts in the first two conditions had a reaction time of less than 100 ms. The results demonstrate that the neuromuscular-physiological component of simple auditory reaction times can be under 85 ms and that EMG latencies can be under 60 ms.

    If Visser could get off to better starts, she could probably smoke this field with her closing speed. Seems like she hasn’t fully recovered from her injuries. She’s built like a tank when you compare her physique to the rest of the girls in this heat.

    • @dayleashleynolasco5765
      @dayleashleynolasco5765 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      She did a good start but not great compare to Pia of Poland or even Bapte. She was there as she was accelerating hard but not enough. I don't think being mascular is the game in racing, perhaps it can help in short distance run like this. But some aren't built like that can post fast PB especially the Americans & Jamaicans.

    • @chuckech33se
      @chuckech33se ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dayleashleynolasco5765 It’s generally true when you study the anatomy and physiology of sprinters. Those with more fast-twitch glycolytic muscle fibers tend to be more muscular and hence faster because they generate more power. There are only a few anomalies like Felix who can compete at a world class level in 100m and 400m with more slender builds. I think Pia has the edge over Nadine currently because she has quicker reactions and runs with less precaution with the way she powers through the hurdles, but I think Visser has the potential to set much faster personal bests because of her build.

    • @dayleashleynolasco5765

      @@chuckech33se Agree, especially Dom Rep - M. Paulino, Bah - S. Miller Uibo in 400m, Jam - S. Jackson in 200m, US - Sha'carri Rich. in 100m as well as 200m & L. Klaver who compete in both 200m as well as 400m are all specimen. Those 5 are really built like a tank for a woman. For example M. Paulino who just beaten S. Mclauglin, Klaver & other good runners even my favorite N. Kaczmarek lately in the Diamond League in Paris really built like a man.
      What you said with A. Felix, I think she isn't the only the fast runner who has a body like nah, I keep it like this. Barbados - Sada Williams of 400m, Ned's - F. Bol as well as Pol - Natalia Kaczmarek built more the same. All those 3 are exceptionally fast as well. In terms of Skrzyszowska & Visser, yes I guess your right that Pia with less muscle which isn't Poland's principle can easily react quickly.. But power I guess which Visser got the advantage if she can use it in her favor..

If you watched closely most approached each other for hugs etc yet the French approached no-one and actually bent over and placed her hands on her knees while everyone was hugging. Yet you chose to say White Poland Lady without mentioning the other 6 white women or the French Lady.
