I am sick and tired of this constant labeling of Africa as a land of poverty.
It is because of GREED created by the capitalists
So, how do we think about a continent that Floods borders with POOR PEOPLE? how do we describe a continent that is on a non stop bloody issues like Congo, like Haiti that culture is 100% African . As a westerner I don't think Africa is poor. It's beautiful land with great wealth. You have to understand that what media focuses on is negative things. So they will show economical or ecological degradation but that is happening all over the world.

The title has a negative connotation attached to it as if leaving anywhere in the world for Africa is a mistake and a down grade.
Why do people label Africa as poor? I truly believe people are brain washed and believe in propaganda that the west and russia spews out. I have traveled to many countries and the west especially down grades the countries. I love the African people and all of Africa is a beautiful, magnificent country. Humanity needs to focus on verbally saying positive things about each and every country. Words are powerful and carry so much energy and vibrancy.

Yet we must he honest. There is much poverty AND much *perceived* poverty in Africa if comparisons are made between lifestyles. In more developed countries, abundant materialism is regarded as wealth, whereas, in many African countries living in indigenous crawls/villages, they have their land where subsistence crops are grown & stored, chickens, goats, cows etc and live a subsistence livestyle in their mud huts in which they are very comfortable, happy & content. That is poverty to the ignorant Westerners, Northerners or Easterners but certainly not to the people in question.
And this is said by me who was born, lived for decades in the southern African region, BUT residing in UK for decades presently. 😉.

😮I am African from Moçambique. Africa is a continent not a country. They is no poverty in Africa we have fields to feed our families. Except the orphans who can not afford as much food as our children at home. At the orphanage they still go to school they have shelter to leave without violence like in East countries. E.g America, some orphanages are very dangerous in Europe. But in Africa they is love and respect. In Africa they is hunger in places were they are affected by war. Were they is no war in Africa they is always love and peace. Russia is a poor country too. They are rich in gas , petrol and war weapons which they make in Russia. Africa we have lots of minerals including gas,
petrol, gold, Cooper and dimons and different types of mineral and lots of farms too.
People might find it extremely difficult to believe, but this Edward is an African by the design of the Almighty God, but he found himself born and raised in Russia until the Pull of Attraction to Africa, overpowered the hold Russia had on him thus finally landing him in Kenya in the beautiful, weather friendly continent of Africa. Let's put it out there...there are many traveling hippies trapped in East African coasts with no 'fare' back home and some are really struggling with their mental health especially drug addiction.
Traveling doesn't necessarily mean you are rich...who can corroborate his story? Where's the evidence to his upbringing?
