Just picked up the guitar and working my way through the 10 day course which is a few years old now but still brilliant. Thought I'd have a go at this and you make it so easy for me to understand. Loving the vids mate.
I'm still too much of a beginner to get anywhere with this but as far as the chords go it's nice to see how relatively simple they are given how little movement is needed & the ring finger anchors in same position/fret for each chord. So maybe I could do a really slow, really basic strum pattern. Anyway, thanks for another lesson Andy!

As willie Nelson has gotten older I watched him play one of the songs he wrote with a solo in it, Christmas song Pretty Paper could you do a lesson on it with the solo?
Andy! (or anyone) QUESTION: As a newbie, you took two weeks off and your fingers are soar.. How long until mine aren't soar? I am one week in with at least an hour a day working them out (practicing) .. I feel calluses starting to develop, my question is on week two or three will that go away where I can practice a few hours a day and not feel sore on my fingers? Thanks! I like your teaching style.. And might go full Monty with you before I jump into ***tricks

When I learned to mess around on guitar when I was a teen, I was taught by my friend to play G chord with my ring finger on the low E note, my middle finger on the A note, and my pinky on the high E. Every TH-cam video I watch nowadays because I've begun learning again after a decade off shows people using first finger, second finger, and pinky. Is my way incorrect?
You just need to keep practicing! He explained this sort of thing in his other beginner tutorials. This same thing used to happen with me, but later on ur hand muscles will get used to it and you will be able to do it correct!

Got a problem. Whenever I try to mute the low E with the thumb, the flesh of the palm ends up muting the high E as well.. Any tip for that?
