Tremendous piece of kit .. I'll see what my Mrs says about me purchasing one when she gets home from work today , all pissed off and angry .. cos I'll be worse for wear on lager around that time , and my tonge always Kicks into gear before my brain when I'm boozed up .
The decisions that are out there for a new PCP compressor have just narrowed down after this review. Diffidently have this on my list to look more into. Like how there’s no external water bucket with a fish tank pump!
I think you need the Hill dry-pac pro air dryer filter. I nice set of wheels and a small pull handle may make this moveable and a little more handy. It is small so unit and wheels not needed.
Using my now for 8 months the only problem I have had with it is it doesn't like the cold, if my workshop drops down to 5 degrees it will not start until its warmed up.
This compressor seems like a winner! Build quality seems very good, and I love the design aesthetic or looks of it. Sexy! I am assuming this unit has some sort of air filter to clean the air a bit before it goes into the cylinders? Where is that on the machine? Also that digital control is exquisite; easy to use and intuitive. Thanks for posting and sharing. Much appreciated.
Yes. The Hill EC-3000 has a three stage compressor which has an internal filter and a final moisture trap. When you bleed the compressor you get a small amount of silicone oil and any water in the trap, released on decompression.
Great review, thank you, I am considering either the nomad 2 or the hill ec-3000, being that you own both and you’ve used both now for sometime which one would you recommend?
If you don't need to run a compressor from vehicle, the Hills is the one to go for. My friend now has the Nomad, as I only use the Hills. I have a 3 Litre and 0.5 Litre for range use, and the Hills fills them with ease.
I've just sent for one. Hope it's OK, I'm a retired disabled pensioner. I don't want to get blown up. I've got enough on my plate. Seriously, I think if you just fill your guns and not push it too hard, it should be OK. I hope.
Like you say all compressors are fairly expensive, some very like the Daystate. It's less that £200 more than the Nomad 2, so I would say it's worth it.
Made in Sheffield. Many parts made in house, all other parts (including, electronic boards, software, hoses and motor) are all made locally, ie. Yorkshire and Lincolnshire 👍. No Chinese parts at all.
I had an Air King which looks the same as a Nomad. Probably just a re skinned job out of the same Chinese political prisoner sweat shop. It failed twice, I returned it under warranty 👎🇦🇺
This is more of a Tremendous piece of $h1t. You haven't had it long enough to say it's a tremendous machine. I've seen more bad reviews on this model than any other compressor in the same price range. I mean no disrespect to but this is a terrible machine. To be honest there really isn't a really good compressor from China weather it is rebranded or not.
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 Don't need to in order to see all the negative reviews. I'm in the market for something to fill my gun but haven't purchased anything yet. More than likely I will go with a 60 minute tank then later purchase a compressor to fill it. Wait a year for all these to improve or continue to pay for refills.
@@rentaroo please direct me to all these negative reviews. I have Googled negative reviews on the Hill EC-3000 compressor and it doesn’t list any problems that other compressors can suffer from. I also have the Nomad 2, but bought the Hill to fill my 3 Litre Carbon bottle, no problems there. Manufacturers state up to 4 litre filling.
@@rentaroo dont talk shit unless you have experience, reading reviews tells you what it tells you, but you are in no position to judge the product when you don't even have one.
lol at guy talking shit about hardware he doesn't even own. And making up bad reviews too. Probably someone who sells those shitty exploding compressors from China.

Looks like this is on my wish list now 😂

It has a blue and white pre filter, you can see it in the video, also the new evo has a black and white one.
Good review. So how is it holding up after 3 years?
All good. Running well.

@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 thank you for your feedback. You have been very helpful, I will order the Hill.
Great video . Have you tried filling a buddy bottle?
Can this fill a 12L scuba tank or only for rifles?
According to the manual this compressor can fill up to 4 Litre bottles and top-up 7 Litre maximum size bottles. Rifles are no problem.

How long to fill my 3litre tank?
Topping up a 3 litre tank from 150 bar to 300 bar takes around 20 minutes

I regularly fill my 3 litre bottle. As long as you read the manual you’ll be fine.👍
how do you fill a 4500 psi tank if it only goes to 300 bar (4351psi)
Is it worth £850, no. Its a good pump with about £200 worth of parts, so I would say around £500 tops, then all airgun compressors are over priced.
Like you say all compressors are fairly expensive, some very like the Daystate. It's less that £200 more than the Nomad 2, so I would say it's worth it.
Are guns have moved on since my childhood.
Hi from Australia..
Made in England or assembled in England from Chinese parts? 🇦🇺

Great vid ,
Have you tried filling a dive tank ?
Yes. The manual says you can top up small bottles. I have topped up a 3 litre from round 150 bar to 300 bar. There is a short video on that
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 thanks I'll check it out

Not that I know of.
