Thanks buddy. I'm loving the heritage so far! BIG SHOUT OUT to Orlando HD for letting me ride one while I was down there over the summer. Definitely a huge deciding factor in picking one out for myself!
4 years and 10,000 miles ago, your videos on the 48 helped push me to getting my first bike. Now I'm looking to step up and you're pushing me again towards this one. Thank you for your time!
Traded my '15 Dyna Street Bob on an '18 Heritage 114. Love the bike, love the colour. I ride it generally stripped down and only put the bags and screen on if I'm doing a long ride. Recently did a 1500km trip with some mates, and the bike ran brilliantly. Apart from the issue with the rear wheel hub, I've had no real major issues in the 2 months I've had it. The dealership made a plan for me to ride the bike while a new rear hub is being ordered (under warranty)
I have the 2018 with the 114, love the bike, very flickable, up graded to 21" windshield put a tour pak and upgraded to the hammock seat, only issues I have is condensation in speedo on hot days and fuel cap rattles, I took it and road the tail of the dragon last weekend and couldn't get the floor boards to drag, im very pleased with the Heritage classic.
When I bought my 05’ Heritage back in 07’ it had some condensation in the speedo too. The guy I bought it from said it’s always been like that and other bikes do that too. I wasn’t too thrilled about it but over the next several years, whenever I’d see a Heritage parked somewhere, I’d take a look at theirs and more times than not, there was a little condensation at the bottom of the speedometer.
I got the 2020 Heritage Classic 114 in silver pine and spruce. Absolutely love it. I agree with the buffeting and that is probably the only thing I would consider a dislike. But coming from a naked street fighter I can’t complain. I do lock my bags when on the road because I did hit a hard bump one day and a bag opened. Other than that it is amazing.
Can't go wrong with the Heritage. For even more comfort, install ya a Rider backrest, and some hwy pegs. Turn on that cruise control , stretch out and kick back while the miles roll away.
Great video, thank you for helping me make up my mind. I picked it up two weeks ago in Milwaukee. I'm dying to trash the floorboards though and get some forward controls but no one is making them, many manufacturers like Performance Machine have had to lay off almost the entire work force due to the Coronavirus. So when things get moving again maybe you'll remember to test a few options out for us. Thanks again!
I love your videos. As someone looking to get into riding, having all this information and objective reviews helps me feel confident in whatever i decide
Cruiser or sports bike or dual sport or adventure bike Are the hardest choices youll make in your life I recommend used 🤷🏼♂️ also low mile bikes aint worth it unless there fairly young
Paul Morris oh I’m definitely going cruiser, I’ve long since made that decision. But yes I’ll keep the used idea in mind as well. I’m always happy to save money lol 👌🏽
@@Falconshuffle24 Suzuki savage/s40 cheap ( even new ) and reliable Kawasaki vulcan Honda rebal 500 ( if you can find used great but its cheap enough new to be affordable ) Yamaha bolt ( same as rebal on new/used ) And harley sportster 883 Wouldnt recomend the 250-300 cc class with cruisers 🤷🏼♂️ But the newer 500ccs Or the 650-900 cc class is great to start on for cruisers
I really like that color scheme. I'd be curious to see how much I could fit in those bags. I'd mostly like to have enough room to throw my riding jacket in there, which I'm sure wouldn't be a problem. I like the idea of getting a road glide special, but I question if that's more bike than I need beings I won't really be "touring".
Nice video. Sat on one last week when I had my bike in for service. Felt really good and I was tempted but I've done to much work on the bike I have now to get rid of her.
Thanks for the reviews...in the last 5 years I've gone from a 2014 Fat Boy lo...to a 2014 Road King to a 2017 Heritage...Damn I miss that Fatboy....but love the Blacked out look of the 2019 Heritage. Time for a coin flip!!
Just upgraded from my 15 Fat Bob. Two tone rawhide and black 114. Many thanks for your reviews, this is the one ride review that I didn't watch oddly enough and it popped up on my list for the day. Cosmos align? Or are they watching us!
If you one bike to own, what would you choose? 2019 low rider 2019 heritage Or 2019 deluxe Please let me know I’m ready to buy one and I like all 3 of them Thanks
Block I think u should get the road king the midnight blue one you were on the other day really suited you and is a bad ass bike and I think you fell in love with it.i love your low rider s but think it’s time for the new era to become a part of the channel
Hey Blockhead! Do you think Street Bob rides better with the 19" wheel? I also hear the 107 in your Street Bob video and it seems a little it more nervous or spicy, can't explain. Maybe be the 114 more deep an work lower in revs? Which one will you choose? Thanks a lot
My uncle owns a 94 softail herritage and an 86 sportster 1200 cc 🙂 with some limited goodies all original besides exaust Awesome bike Fun fact the softail was the only bike to hold the evo motor till 99 before going twin cam Besides the sportster lol
TH-cam compression. When uploading, the videos look great, crisp and clear in 1080p @ 60fps with no 'artifacting' as they call it. After uploading to TH-cam, their servers attempt to save space and duplicate frames, which causes that pixelation. Very annoying!
I know that you're looking for a new bike because of your job maybe you should take another look at the heritage or take some of your own advice lol happy trails
Hello you awesome, hope you doing great and enjoying riding and doing what matter most for you. Thank-you for this video and keep it up bro. I'm from Belgium, H-D is minority here and it look so crazy/badass to own one. I been looking to buy the sport glide because simply it is the best versatile bike from Harley. My wife want me to go for the Softail Heritage because she LOVE hard that tall round American Police windshield and Chrome everywhere of course, I'm not a fan, it will make me look older :) I will be obliged to grow a beard to fit the Heritage style. I saw both your videos, according to you is the Heritage a good bike compare to the sport Glide? Thank-you beforehand
I thought the one I rode had excessive fork dive. I was hoping to see how it was for you, but you edited out every time you came to a stop. Any reason?
Can't answer for Blockhead, but I've been told by Matt Laidlaw (TH-camr from Laidlaw's of LA) that the Heritage and another M8 softail I forget which has a longer suspension travel 4" as opposed to 3 or 3.5". Now, I'm rather obviously no tech, in fact I'm technically dyslexic, but maybe that explains what you feel is excessive dive?
I would also go road King mostly because I think the heritage is for guys who wear dad jeans but the new heritage looks a lot better than the old ones and I have to give credit where it's due
that hub on the front wheel is suppose to look like a drum brake i think it gives the bike a old man style that would be the first thing i'd remove if it was my bike but same as you its not really my style bike but still i have seen a few custom ones i like tho anyway thanks for the review and i'll see you in the next one
BLOCKHEAD! Are you ever going to review the FXDR??? I've never really wanted a Harley but the FXDR has me thinking about it... On another note, Has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds like actor Mike Farrell? Not Will Ferrell... Mike Farrell who played doctor B.J. Hunnicutt on M*A*S*H.
Congratulations Pat CB! By watching this video, you’ve helped to optimize TH-cam's search engine to recommend this content and my channel. But wait, it get's better! By leaving a comment, regardless if it's a worthless opinion or a very informative contribution, you've helped to optimize it even further by adding to the comment count, which TH-cam factors in for recommended videos as well! Fo sho señor Dirty Thumbs! Looking forward to more vids on it! 🤘
I just test rode one and I'm in love. I think I may purches one, Hate to get rid of my 883 though
How tall is the stock heritage windshield?
I just bought a 2020 loving it so far 100 miles
I am 5ft 6inch 135lb. Will it be suitable for my size?

My first Harley was a Heritage. Loved how it felt... the balance, the weight, it was very comfortable on long rides.
tested a 107 heritage, blows my 12 heritage out of the water.. better motor, brakes, chassis... HD is really doing a good job on the new bikes.
Just bought a ‘19 in Rawhide……fantastic motorcycle…..as mentioned ALL kinds of power from that 114…couldn’t be happier.
Nicely done on the review
I just bought a 19 heritage 114 and I absolutely love it! Such a nice bike for what I wanted to do
I love the new heritage , my dream bike with my bars and pipes and costume seat maybe 21 inch front wheel . Thanks for the great video
I ride this exact Heritage. It checks all the boxes,...........It's the bomb.
I got the 2020 Heritage Classic 114 in silver pine and spruce. Absolutely love it. I agree with the buffeting and that is probably the only thing I would consider a dislike. These are great videos for people interested in HARLEY. Personally as a long time rider I miss the older content ( group rides -dual vlogs)more fun
Just bought one in grey denim finish. Absolutely love it!
I just recently bought an Iron 883 and as soon as It's almost paid off, I'm getting the Heritage for sure!
Can't go wrong with the Heritage. For even more comfort, install ya a Rider backrest, and some hwy pegs. Turn on that cruise control , stretch out and kick back while the miles roll away.
ich bin sie gefahren 2019 ca.2800km quer durch den bayrischen wald, einfach klasse ,und immer wieder gerne wenn ich die zeit habe
that looks like such a great bike, cant imagine it could ever be improved more.
I love my 2018 Heritage 114. It’s my Motovlogging bike.
The old Iron says "Thank You" :))
The studs on the seat are way to Village People looking!!!
Great video, thank you for helping me make up my mind. I picked it up two weeks ago in Milwaukee. Kawasaki vulcan
Honda rebal 500 ( if you can find used great but its cheap enough new to be affordable )
Yamaha bolt ( same as rebal on new/used )
And harley sportster 883
Wouldnt recomend the 250-300 cc class with cruisers 🤷🏼♂️

Definitely enough room for a riding jacket! John Maxwell put a lot of his camera equipment in the bags when he was down here awhile back.
I have one and it ain’t much but enough for an overnight, a rain jacket and some water. Love the bike though.
you can put a batwing fairing on it if you like that glide look
Nice video. Sat on one last week when I had my bike in for service. Felt really good and I was tempted but I've done to much work on the bike I have now to get rid of her.
Man that's a beautiful bike.
“Press in pull out” that’s what she said
I KNEW someone would comment something like this right after I said it, lol

Can you test ride the Indian Springfield?
I would have liked to hear the sound of the motor unmuted, maybe from the rear of the bike or from the side, just to hear what the bike sounds like.
What about the passenger back Rest? Is there an accessory / aftermarket that you can get for this model?
Yes
Some even have them from factory
How do you know if it overheats and do they overheat on a long trip?
Isn't weaird when people comment on old videos? LOL! great job!
The sound of it is actually the why'd don't like the Milwaukee 8 engine
If you one bike to own, what would you choose?
2019 low rider
2019 heritage
Or
2019 deluxe
Please let me know I’m ready to buy one and I like all 3 of them

BLOCKHEAD was worth a try bro you did seem happy with the road king but are you holding out for fxdr .now that’s a thought 💭
looks like an old roadking, love it!
Thank you! Are the bags easily removable for a classic around town cruiser look?
No they're not. They are removable, but it's not a two minute job.
When we were leaving the dealership that rain had arrived.
No fun!
One time in Mexico! LOL Cracked up :D
Heritage looks like a wise old man
Blockhead, great review. Informative, short, sharp and to the point. Nice one! (I've just bought one!)
You mentioned buffeting from the windshield. You didn't like the windshield ?
You've almost convinced me to buy one Block...almost

Funny.. up north, here we have disPLAYS. Down south, they are DISplays. 🤷🏽♂️
Take the shield and bags off that bike and it looks gangster.
Did the early M8 engines have issues with the oil pump?
Great video! Do you have an update?
Hey, any pictures of the bike with the front fairing taken off? Also saddlebags, I'd love to see how it looks like "naked."
GOD THESE ARE BEAUTIFUL!
Hey Blockhead, any difference other than colors, from the 2018's ?
Great video! Even though its a hurry up! I have a dumb question though. What causes the pixels in some parts of the video?
Lighting(or lack of)

Whats up with that bolt that holds the speedometer assembly on? looks so out of place and unfinished. You think they could have covered it up.
'course you can change it with Vance & Hines
I know that you're looking for a new bike because of your job maybe you should take another look at the heritage or take some of your own advice lol happy trails

Honestly, it need a bigger gas tank. Also, you say 47 miles PG... I say, noooooo. Im barely getting 170 per tank.. ugghh.
With Stage 1 setup 170mi on a 5 gal tank....Not bad if your cruising at 80mph on the interstate
Can the forward controls (shifter and front pad/brake) be changed to mid-forward (like in the Low Rider)?
Beautiful bike what is the top speed
Great demo, My next bike!
Nice drone footage in the beginning. Did you do it?
Has anyone found any problems maintenance wise? I want to get one but I don't want to spend another 20k in repairs because of some stupid oddity.
Where is the Shiny stuff?? Backrest?

i would prefer hard saddlebags like on the roadking.
Are the 2018 Heritage models with the 114 similar or the same ? Thinking about buying one. Thanks for a reply.
The same.
What about the engines melt down😳 Have you heard any thing on these 114 . Oil issues.
BLOCKHEAD which did you like better the heritage or the road King?
That's a tough one! I'd probably go Road King of the two b/c of the direction that you can take it / mod it out.
I would also go road King mostly because I think the heritage is for guys who wear dad jeans but the new heritage looks a lot better than the old ones and I have to give credit where it's due
I prefer the Heritage , she Looks so much cooler
I agree. the others looks like grand father bikes uggg and Im old lol. despise chrome as I have gotten older.
I test rode them both and bought the Heritage because it handled better in curves and maneuvers. For over the road, Road King.
Nice vid dude!
Thanks!
That was some nice lil buns at 2:00
No whitewalls no deal
Yep can’t lose the sunblocks 🤷🏾♂️
Hi, although the lady is gorgeous can you also get a 6' + dude sitting on the bikes so I can get an idea what it's size would be for us lanky bods : )
Weird as hell no matter what im 6'8 350 lbs i make a ultra glide look like a sportster 🤦🏼♂️
I hear you, I'm 6' 4" with 34" inseam, I make all the new softails look like mopeds : )
The new line up seems a lot smaller than the previous models.
that hub on the front wheel is suppose to look like a drum brake i think it gives the bike a old man style that would be the first thing i'd remove if it was my bike but same as you its not really my style bike but still i have seen a few custom ones i like tho anyway thanks for the review and i'll see you in the next one
