You are right, front loaded cabs sound very direct and cold, as an example Ampeg V4 cab, or modern Engl XXL cab. Rear loaded speakers make a cab sounding way better, fuller and 3dimensional.
Thanks for your comment. I definitely noticed an improvement in the sound when I remounted the speakers. I didn’t know there were some cabs out there that chose front mounting. I wonder why? It can’t be a noob mistake as in my case 😂

I took this bigger beastie to a jam with drums bass and second guitar. It sounded really nice on the Katana 50 watt setting with the new Eastman T486.
