You know you can also buy a jackshaft kit for those petrol engines? It transfers the drive through the cranks so you can use the gears with the engine and go crazy fast. Do it Sam!

The glory of dirt bikes is you can get basically the highest end forks and shock ever produced on a 20 year old, $1000 second hand bike. Rebuild them yourself too. It's not like they are really heavy or cheaply built either. It's a shame decent bicycle suspension costs soooo much. Why a bike with an engine costs less, is one of the world's mysterious. I guess if 1970s Japan started producing millions of standardized dh bikes they would be like $1500 new.
