- The free bike challenge - part 25 - Full suspension enduro MTB shredding! I find a free enduro bike and send it down MTB trails, a huge stair set of doom and even pull some tricks at a skatepark, but how long will it last?
The free bike challenge is back for episode 25 filled with mountain bike trails, dirt jumps, urban freeride and ever some skatepark riding and I'm so excited to show you this one because we ended up finding the bike on the side of the road just like episode 1, so my longest running series has gone full circle! After finding the bike I brought it home to go over all the bolts and make sure it was running well, after a couple of turns of the spanner it was time to head to our local riding spot. I jump straight into the deep end and drop into a steep canyon with a tight turn half way down that isn't even nice on a normal bike! From here I proceed to ride the trails as fast as possible before trying a 360 and breaking the bike.... We head back home and do some maintenance on the bike before going over to a huge stair set of doom and getting wildly out of control down it before learning a little bit of history about the hill we just rode down! To finish off this bike it was time to pull some tricks at Mersea Island skatepark but how long would the bike last?? We then head back to Danbury trails for a bonus section where I try a spot of night riding on my Haibike allmtn electric bike using my new OLIGHT's which were actually so bright and made shredding in the dark so easy so thanks a lot for the freebies!!

Sam's commentary when he's doing "sketchy" stuff is usually so priceless. (How many times has he said "that was SOOO scary"?) But the look when he got to the bottom of the mound stairs was ... well, a lot. "That was just terrible."

actually many early 90s bikes have ridged front and back suspension

I also created a hard front about a month ago, my forks were broken but my rear suspension was smooth.

I've seen many "in video ads" of product, but never seen the content creator actually try it out proper. This was a really good test and "commercial" for the OLIGHT's.

weirdly if you follow Sam's link, the products information for the 2K lumens light say that it has a 3500 mah battery, and doesn't list running time, though the other 2 lights listed do. however when I went directly to the website without using his affiliate link, it gives very detailed information about running time at various settings, and it says it has a **7000 mah** battery... according to that chart, on the 2k lumen setting, you'll chew through the battery in 1½hrs. but on its lowest setting 300 lumens, you can get 12½hrs

I just bought a new Jamis A1 Trail X. Great entry level MTB! Less than 700$
My first Jamis was an amazing little Jamis “24 and I loved it. I got it brand new for $300 at my local bike shop and it got me into mountain biking and it held up to my abuse and only getting one tune up for 3 years😂. I was a kid and it was shredding too much to think about taking care of it!

There are some 1" suspension forks still being made. Might be worth grabbing some to have in the shed for future free bikes.
I think most of those are "toy" forks that will last as much as both forks he just used.

That made me laugh - the forks on my first MTB in '92 ish did exactly that. It just took me a bit longer to do it, so I had a low rider for a while 😁

The night-riding looks sick as hell on camera. I love how the trees and leaves pop into view suddenly, makes it look more exciting. Definite Blair Witch vibes too lol, you could probably play with the colour grading if you wanted to make some weird effects, looks mad even in natural colours! It's lens flare central when you film the actual lights though hahah, those things look bloody bright. Great vid man, quite a few hilarious bits in this one.
