I fully get where you guys are coming from with Rogue... They are playing fantastically, but I think the reason I'm not yet willing to call them top three is it feels like they are performing better than expected, and many teams around them are playing worse than expected. It's really easy to see DRX pulling a close win against them and TES remembering they have talent and all of a sudden Rogue don't make the Bo5's, but it also feels like a genuine possibility that they get out 1st in that group! I'm still super hopeful for the West (mainly RGE, my favourite team), but I can't see the happiness lasting much longer. I still pray they'll make it far tho. I find myself constantly saying "RGE are doing so well, what if they made the Grand Finals?!" (Although that is admittedly very far fetched)

Seeing NA go 0-9 in the first week of groups is honestly heartbreaking. This is coming from an EU fan btw. Every year I hope that worlds is as tight as possible and it always annoys me when people just peg all the LPL and LCK teams as automatically better then the rest. I don't want to watch a worlds where there are only 3 major regions and I want NA to stay a good rival for EU. COME ON NA, MAKE ME BELIEVE AGAIN!
The problem with Fiora isn't the champion itself. It's the difference in dynamic decision making required by the team as a whole. Fiora is designed as a pure duelist/split pusher. This means that you have to play around sideline pressure as opposed to direct contests. Your team has to rework their spacing because they are down a potential tank. You have to rework pressure timing to draw an opponent or two to the "off side of the map" (say top lane 30 seconds prior to dragon) and the timing here matters. It has to have pressure BEFORE the objective is ever being contested. This creates the decision point. The problem, which is even evident in this conversation around the use of ghost for teamfighting, is that people are unwilling to commit to the split. They group out of habit/comfort. What you are then left with is a Fiora trying to teamfight against the Maokai team. If this was how you wanted to play the game, Fiora was not the pick. Similarly, you can't pick Leblanc in the mid lane and play the same game flow and play style as a scaling control mage like Viktor. The way you as the player and your team has to manage space and contests changes.
Azael it shouldn't be depressing, it should make you angry at how much these dudes make and how terrible they are compared to other major regions with the resources they have available.
Constructive crituiqe: Try to reduce the word "like", because it gets messy when its used so many times in a longer statement. Listen for example at 31:13 until 32:00, I think you say the word "like" 14 times. It's easier to listen to if the words are more varied :)
I was so high on Gen G winning worlds this year because having Chovy, Peanut, and Ruler having like the best or near best in there role on a team should be super competitive. Now seeing there performance in the group stage so far they are not playing half as good as they did the whole summer split and Chovy is not slamming lane like what I expected the level of play like Humanoid is doing where he's just gaping mid so hard. I'm hoping they decide to wake up and play like they did in summer, but my top 3 right now is Gen G, JDG, and EDG and the only reason EDG is there is because if EDG gets out of groups and if RNG get first they will probably get matched in a Bo5 and we all know EDG has RNG's number in Bo5.
The sheer fact that Azael felt that EG winning a best of five in playins was kinda like winning worlds, even if he's slightly joking here which I think he is, is kinda sad. We as NA fans should demand more out of our teams and region, and because we've come to expect this from NA as a region, the LCS, the teams, the owners, the GMs, the Analyst, and the players are ok with this from everything I've seen. If they weren't ok with this, they(The Owner's and LCS) would be demanding more and holding the teams to higher standards. This is a systematic problem across the board and it needs to be addressed if the LCS as a league wants to stay relevant not just on the world stage, but within the NA fanbase. it's getting harder and harder to justify spending my watching time and money on a bad product and I've watched since Season 1.
Watching this, I was thinking it would be cool to have one EUphoria with Sjokz at the end of the tournament and slightly roast and sometimes praise what the teams of each regions have achieved, or didn't ! Could call this extra episode: DISS-phoria
NA stay strong. We will have our time eventually. But yeah I agree let's give the eu our strength when we aren't facing them. Would like to see more than just lpl and lck.
Not a camera/lighting guy but I feel like the wide shot with all three was a bit overexposed, the other two shots (the Azael solo and the Caedrel/Drakos duo shot) were fine tho
Wish I had I had the same fortitude to keep supporting the NA teams, but I'm kinda done with NA as a region. I feel like the players and teams don't care, which makes it hard for me to care.
Does anyone else notice how Caedrel’s reaction changes when Azael suggests Jojopyun for the “Gigachad team”. Look at 1:24:17. He was visibly uncomfortable and was feigning enthusiasm and praise for jojo. Think he might have a problem.
With the discussion with top 3, I think it should change to top 4 which I think Rogue could be in the conversation for. I do not think it's hard to think Rogue can make semi's with how they've looked so far, especially if they can lock 1st seed!
I think we need to see a convincing game without Maokai/Orn and Azir to put them in top 4 tbh. Just to see if they can be punish by bans or if they have other solutions that work.
I have found the second Trail Blazers fan in Germany besides me. Drakos we should watch some games at 4 am together. What do you think of the current roster.
BO1 is always messy, that is why ppl criticize Worlds format. Western(EU) fans always have this delusion which western(EU) teams look strong in Group stages until the true contest begin at playoff stages.
Not going to lie, I always love to watch the NA games at worlds. I enjoy good league, but sometimes I just want to turn my brain off and watch an massacre.
It's 2025 nugari was signed to fnc. Malrang has his residency and was moved to the team. Jiizuke signed a deal as the mid. To finish off the team they import jackylove to bot with hylly

Glad they pointed out how bad Fiora is in most players hands, in this meta especially. It doesn't make sense that someone would pick this champ unless it was really their one trick champ back in the days or something. Completely useless when you are forced into those team fights.
It's easier to listen to if the words are more varied :)
the row for UCD meme what a throwback
Actually head to head is in favour of RNG
But Chovy CS tho
well, just look at vitality :)
Where did azael get his jacket? He looks giga fresh
BANGER EPISODE
Watching this, I was thinking it would be cool to have one EUphoria with Sjokz at the end of the tournament and slightly roast and sometimes praise what the teams of each regions have achieved, or didn't !
Could call this extra episode: DISS-phoria
NA stay strong. We will have our time eventually. But yeah I agree let's give the eu our strength when we aren't facing them. Would like to see more than just lpl and lck.
NA: 0/18 meme dream is gonna happen?
other Major Regions: Summoners Cup
So hard to tell how good RNG is. They have a wildcard team, NA team and a slumping geng.
Time Traveller to Azael from the past: Top Esports lost with two hits on the Nexus.
0-18 incoming, LETS GO
that Azael jacket's lit!
Does anyone else notice how Caedrel’s reaction changes when Azael suggests Jojopyun for the “Gigachad team”. Look at 1:24:17. He was visibly uncomfortable and was feigning enthusiasm and praise for jojo. Think he might have a problem.
I almost didn't watch this because I figured they would just be beating up NA, but it was actually an enjoyable listen
1:09:42 yooo the UC Davis meme, I remember that 😂
most people had rge making it out and not g2 btw... also how is fnc lvl1 an excuse but not t1's invade to fnc going wrong.
22:45 SKT 2015 won every game except for game 3 of the finals and I think Samsung White also won Worlds undefeated in groups.
22:34 SSW was 6-0 in groups, and ended up winning. Lost 2 games total, in the playoff stage.
T1 in 2015 won world losing only 1 game in final for caedrel wondering if no team won wihtout losing in group stage
Ssw 2014 and skt 2015 won worlds with 6-0 record on group stage
where can I get that Azael jacket/bomber? super nice looking! I want one for myself.
Rogue are a top 1 team lol, no doubt
@@yannicklucas1836 That's fair. I mean 3 games sample size is hard to judge any team fully, week 2 can be completely different. It'll be fun!
I have found the second Trail Blazers fan in Germany besides me. Drakos we should watch some games at 4 am together. What do you think of the current roster.
One of my favourite parts of worlds!
"well there's no Ale" 😭thank for reminding me caedrel that LNG didnt make worlds after that miracle run Sadgeee
1:20:10 anyone know what Caedral was referring to here? Did Nuguri really say team diff after the 0-4-0?
@10:08 Humanoid never got Azir in the 2nd week and he went back to looking real average.
no one is talking about T1 idk why, Literally gigachad whole team, picking super hard drafts that rely on skill and still manage to, tbh, win very convincingly vs edg. they might actually win, mark my words.
Azael really forgot "the Pentakill Prince" when talking about cool nicknames for players in NA sadge
Glad they pointed out how bad Fiora is in most players hands, in this meta especially. It doesn't make sense that someone would pick this champ unless it was really their one trick champ back in the days or something. Completely useless when you are forced into those team fights. Like they said, there are no games won during worlds through split push in side lane.
Dude RNG just drafted top -> supp in order against 100theives, super feels bad.
The fact no one said Wei was MVP candidate man. The guy has a 42 KDA in 3 games. 😂
Mancloud. Went from mvp to teamless in two seasons
G1: t1, edg
G2: jdg, g2
G3: rge, tes
G4: rng, gen g
Naaah
EDG FNC
JDG DK
RGE DRX
RNG GNG
Thank goodness there's no Kobe. I love this trio.
Azael is like an Arsenal fan, they know they'll do bad but they still cheer and give it their all just to be disappointed in a row 😂poor lad, being an NA fan must be hard, but i love how he backs them after everything for so long, a true fan ..
