    I have a bird that had..it looked like paste butt,now is gone but the area small spot is red with no feathers. She seems fine...?,any ideas

      Hi Barbara, always hard to say without examining her, but if she's otherwise fine it could be that there is some lingering dermatitis there from what ever caused the "pasty but". The term could be due to a number of underlying causes that are causing inflammation of the cloaca. (eg yeast or bacteria). If it has resolved on its own if may just be a wee patch still lingering. Have a good look and make sure there's no other wound there. Sometimes other hens may traumatise it or a small patch below the vent gets fly struck
