A few people have said you have to play these loud to get any detail and are useless for low volume listening. Even what hifi are saying they "need cranked up a bit". Bit of a problem that. Speakers should sound great at late nights as well as party. This is VERY competitive price point so why settle for that issue?
Can someone give me an insight on the F502? I don't have any dealer nearby. I own tannoy precision 6.2 and lusted a concentric a bit bigger at no avail. I didn't like the new Tannoy tweeter compared to precision. I'm also looking to have bit more resolving midrange and a bit more oomph on the mid bass keeping same scale and amazing depth and imaging.
Elac has a great set, so do Tannoy themselves at around the same price. You can't have heard many. It is a VERY competitive price bracket the 1 to 2k one. You'd have to hear over 30 sets to say that. People like to think their budget speakers are giant killers. If that were the case FYNE would not make higher models, but they do :) and they are better again.
Had the concept 40s and liked them. But the Tannoy f6 xt are a class above in every dept. More resolution, bigger soundstage and more detail, with weightier bass. Now if the fyne audio 501 s are slightly better than the f6 xt…then you have not heard either speaker to have made that comment
I to feel that What HiFi seem to push certain brands Marantz being one very good example, However if you read reviews from those that have bought them comments are coming back that they sound a lot more expensive than the price they sell them at so on that evidence you can start to think that What HiFi are becoming more transparent. Certainly something I will be auditioning being the 501 for 2 channel use only against Dali which I already own but use for both but mainly cinema sound

After hearing the 502’s I can’t imagine any speaker at any price under 15 k that will defeat them

702 are nowhere close to the 501/502s
Well they are designed by the engineers that left Tannoy, so you can be shure that they will be good.
Nice review, still think the best floostander around this price is the q acoustics concept 40

The brand name "fyne audio" resembles closely to "dynaudio".
