We have a chicken that would be well over 10 years old and she's still more alive than ever! When we got her we were told she was really old, that was when we were little. Now I'm almost 21 and she's still healthy and as alive as ever!
chickens last about 3 years? Nope. Most off my chickens are way past that. My oldest is 10 and healthy as can be. Chickens mostly don't last very long because people get rid of them when they stop laying eggs. I have lots off chickens but only a few still lay eggs, I don't care about the eggs, I just love chickens. And some cats drool when you pet them. One off my moms drools like crazy

I’m so sorry for you. Our chickens got fed oyster shells that were crushed and they got fed that for the first 5 years of their lives. I do believe that it is what helped them live so long!!!!😇

Laura, I'm being tested for cancer this morning. I had something suspicious show up on an earlier test. Having a more diagnostic test done, plus an ultra sound this morning. They will mail the results to me. My primary doc is on vacation this week. So I don't follow up with her until I think next wk or early the following wk. Idk off the top of my head.🤯
Yesterday I rescued a baby cat at my barn it was so skinny so we took it into my barn and gave it some cat food and water, when the cat saw the food he was face deep in it just eating it and now we are going to keep him as a barn cat 🐱

Ah, poor chicken, difficult to know what might have been wrong with her, but hopefully she wasn’t in pain and suffering, so wish animals could tell us what was wrong 😢 Have you got plans to try and build them a bigger enclosure so that they can scratch around some more and live a slightly more natural chicken life? I laughed so hard when Jacob jumped at Gabby...I was like "OH NO...OH NO...OH no no no no" lol Gabby will have nightmares of Jacob launching himself at her from the dock from now on lol. RIP old gal chicken...you had a wonderful life there at the end and well loved. Way to go Laura on letting those ponies in the barn and doing the night time chores by yourself...that was awesome. Its amazing how fast those ponies can get to moving when food is involved in motivating them.

I went and told her and she said it was there for two days!after we got it out we put it in her house so it could calm down. It ended up surviving
Love your bearded dragon! My sister had one years ago, well he belonged to my nephew. His name was Jay Jay and he lived for several years. He was in a huge aquarium in the living room. He was very sociable and was taken outside sometimes riding on peoples shoulders. He loved the outdoors, but you have to be careful of the wildlife, hawks and such. They are lovely pets. It was a sad day for my sisters family when JJ passed. God bless your little farm❤️🙏💯

The chicken lived a good full life and it’s time had come, Ollie came back and hopefully will continue to hang out at the barn and live his own full life, we have a doppelgänger of Ollie who is around 14/15 years old named Frankie, he is our best barn cat by far, always catches whatever he hunts and incredibly social with people, I’d love to see Ollie live a life like Frankie!

5-10 years are average lifespans. you can 100% have ones who live longer

They actually live to be 6-8 years old all though they can live to be over 10! That’s amazing your hen is still alive and well💕

My cat drooled from when he was 3 weeks old alway until he was 15 years old when he passed away and its nothing worrying about some cats just do it!

Is the old hen egg bound?
No. Chickens usually stop laying at 3 and they can live up to ten or longer. If they were egg bound for that long they would be in a lot of pain.
