Sometimes this particular pit is good to me and some times it leaves me with nothing but so far it keeps providing! Black stain makes sense. Cam off easier than I would have expected. We gotta link up sometime 🤙

Appreciate your videos alot, trying to dial in my gold monster, watched more videos than I can count and still struggling with it, Ive lived in butte county all my life and only recently got into prospecting for the past 2 years , just got the gold monster 1000 and sad to admit that I live on 800acres, half of which is an old mining claim, 2 shafts and a year round creek and I haven’t found a damn thing with my gold monster even though I’ve seen nuggets pulled from the area. If your ever in the area I’ll trade you gold for teaching a jackass like me how to use this damn thing, lol. Honestly though thanks for your videos and tips and keep at it.

Hey Matt, I’m Newley retired and sort of getting into prospecting. I was watching some vids of you on the Yuba, I’m in the Cosumnus area. Anyway I’m wondering if you have claims everywhere you go or how you find areas that are not claimed. Claims are pretty confusing for me. Thanks for any help. Ben
Most public land is okay to prospect on unless there are specific exclusions in certain areas. You can look up claims on the BLM web site on what's called the MLRS which is a map showing locations of active claims. There is a lot of research involved but it's also a lot of fun. Good luck!

How do you tell it’s not fools gold ?
Fools gold isn't magnetic and doesn't set off the detector.
