  • SOLD - Here is a large 201-acre parcel of land offering a lot of diversity. Bean Brook flows right through it and there is a substantial bridge over the brook giving access to both sides. The eastern portion offers some nice young hardwoods with great views of Burke Mountain. The stream bottom offers more softwoods as well as a large clearing that could be made into fields for animals. There is also sand and gravel onsite to build your own network of roads. A number of old cabins remain on site. One is in fair shape while materials could be salvaged from the others. The brook looks great for fishing and I bet you could find some nice swimming holes. If you're looking for an adventure, here it is! Listed by Nicholas Maclure of Century 21 Farm & Forest for $295,000. For more details click here: farmandforest.com/listing/484...

Beautiful. That road needs a lot of work to make it passible for a full time place. What a great spot though. Peaceful!

Maybe next time you can include the actual
State in which the property is located?

Been following. Can you tell me why so many large parcels are currently being sold off? What is the trend?

Carolyn, I would actually say there are far less large parcels on the market than what we typically have for sale.

Because if you robbed the saleble timber you have to get rid of the costs following the hold of the property what is now useless for the next 60 to 100 years!

Not sure what’s you’re talking about. Large parcels have been getting bought UP. Not sold. People are paying $1500 an acre for land that is been cut heavy and has zero timber value in a 50-75 year timeframe. Who are these people? It seems like people are out land hoarding in corners of the state that used to be seldom sought after

@@t.r.l.4377 but people are still buying these lots!?! Who? Are they actually going to build a camp or house on them, or just sit on them? It’s bizarre. I have no sympathy for people paying $2k per acre for land that has zero timber value and then they’ll likely have to get rid of it for half what they paid when this land hoarding frenzy subsides.

Nice property!? There isn’t a single mature tree on it left! And worst part is this looks like it’s ten years of regrowth and still just a terrible crop of trees. No value for 100 years
