    I'm really enjoying the content your are publishing, Aussie stuff is good to see. Funny story, I once helped a mate do an engine swap on his cab-over, twin steer Scania and spent the whole weekend to get him back on the road for Monday and it had this big ass knuckle boom crane behind the sleeper. I shared a house with a mechanic who asked me 'why we got another crane truck to swap engines and not use the crane we had?' I spat beer across the room I laughed so hard.

      Thanks mate I appreciate it, it’s been fun so far! I don’t think he thought that one out before he opened his mouth😂 cabover a are the easiest to work on in the way of the hiab was behind the cab that would have made things abit more difficult!

      @@dieseldownunder. except it had a sleeper and being twin steer could easily handle the axle load so the crane was well back on the chassis but definitely a case of mouth in gear without brain engagement.

    I bet the liner on no. 1 is eroded behind the water pump

    Great content and insight, what is the rough cost for parts for the rebuild , I have a 11 liter 360 DSC I think that has spun a bearing that a mate owns , might be worth rebuilding.

    • @dieseldownunder.
      @dieseldownunder.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate it’s $460 per liner kit (piston liner rings) and then $280 for main bearings and $220 for big ends not sure what a gasket kit is worth as I already had them but everything is quite cheap for them

    • @jonathanbiggar4973
      @jonathanbiggar4973 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dieseldownunder. Is that Scania parts or after market, and is the $ 460 each liner ?
