Bluewater is a truly exceptional vessel that is in wonderful condition. She changed hands in 2021 and her new owners took an accomplished work horse and refreshed her with improvements to cosmetics and mechanicals. Hull 32 in the series she looks like a boat half her age. She shines with a high-end HK Research gel-coat, one of only three [famous] Nordhavns to be molded with this coat.
Her interior layout features the coveted, two-stateroom, two-head layout. When it comes to Bluewater, the first word that comes to mind is, ‘prepared’. Her systems, and abundant spare parts on board make her a very capable ocean crossing vessel.

1980: Your math seems about right. The Nordhavn brand is one of the few that can cross oceans and tie them together for a circumnavigation!

Such a sturdy and elegant little ship Jeff. Clean and well maintained for sure. Checks nearly all the boxes. Stabilizing would be nice and I assume could be added, is that right? I’m torn between a blue water and a shallower draft cruiser that can navigate canals and bridges. The new N41 and newer N51 do both but are out of my reach. This gem will not last long on the shelf.
Anthony: Thanks for your note. Bluewater is very clean and ready. Naiad active fin stabilizers already installed! Draft is a legitimate concern, obviously deeper draft is not an issue when you are at sea, it can restrict the coves you wish to explore. Yes, her price and condition have made her a very popular vessel, Mark Pittman has already arranged showings and had several interested parties connect with him.

If you look at the description she is SOLD. 22 seconds in we give an overview of the specifications. Price was in the description (below the video) when she was available, We took that out when she sold. Look at any of our other video listings for sale the current price is in the description.

I thought a fly bridge was standard on the 47s
Bob: No, the flybridge was an option on the 40, 43, 46, 47 and 50. "Standard" is a dangerous word in the trawler world because many builders encourage choices and changes that allow the original buyers to do some customizing. Flybridge or not is one of the key option decisions.
What is the power of the wing engine?

Don't understand why you do not specify the asking price. Is it a state secret or are you just shy? You dont have to revel the actual selling price ... so buyers and sellers arn't comprised !!
Stupit - Neither - Bluewater is SOLD. We did have the asking price in the description (see our other trawlers for sale). We can update the description, we can't change the video. We don't share the final selling price for buyer privacy. Are you actually in the market for a trawler or just curious?

What is all the rigging for? I've never understood what all those masts and stays are for...anyone??
I see you've answered below Jeff. A back-up tender launcher. I'm still not sure about the spreaders etc. The forward mast stay is obvious...as is the mast being used to elevate lights and radar etc. This set-up had the ability to launch paravanes? That is diving lures for fishing?? I guess you could use the spreaders for flying courtesy flags etc??

Stephen: the forward tending struts give a tri-pod for the mast arrangement to support the boom as a lift. They had paravanes originally (use much longer spreaders) which has all be removed, but could be added back

Wouldn't a crane be more efficient. And keep the height lower.

It’s to lift the dingy and drop it in to the water
It has a separate crane for that
Tim: Time zone wise I am late to answer. The Nordhavn 47 was originally designed to have a dry stack exhaust (Bluewater does not have this). The mast serves several purposes including supporting the exhaust piping. Adding a boom and you have an apparatus to launch and retrieve the tender (as others have pointed out). Originally, Bluewater had paravane outriggers with extended spreaders to support the outriggers. The boom rotates to be used for dinghy operation and paravane deployment, retrieval. Later, the outriggers were removed, but the mast and boom remain as a back up for the tender launch. Additionally, Bluewater has a crane/davit for dinghy launching. The mast is an necessary component for reasons described, but no longer has as many "duties". In addition to supporting antennas, the lightning ground, deck lights from the spreaders, etc., the balance of the visual profile looks better with the mast standing tall. Please email me directly if you require further clarification and than you to the others who provided their insights. (I think this is the longest reply I've ever done on a YT video).
