It has more players than Assetto Corsa so I don't know about that, maybe underrated at simracing aspect then yeah I agree

The gearing will need to be adjusted.
It tops out at 260 in my experience and the gears are too short

The Bastion is more than capable of Camaro ZL1 1LE lap times (7'16 and lower) with ESC off and a surefooted driving style. Embrace the throttle steer!
i tried laping it right when the update was released, it's harder than i expected, 2 tons of pure american power, it's not a secret that the breaks suffer a lot in this circunstances, but it is still fun driving it, nice lap btw!

@@CrashForce in europe we call the american cars a couch sometimes. It is just super soft, big heavy, with soft automatic you can barely feel
@@CrashForce I have one, a 2013 5.7l awd, it weighs about as much as my Chevy pickup. Actually handles really well though, even the cornering is really good for an American muscle sedan, hope they dial back that oversteer ingame.
Edit: just checked, my charger weighs 450lbs more than my Chevy pickup.

Love the funny edits over the more cinematic stuff you do, I aprpeciate it's very difficult to do the cinematic stuff but you have a really dry sense of humor and it's what I'm here for.
I'm still trying to get the last one into the algorithm. It's a tremendous amount of work for nothing, if the videos don't take hold and get seen by people!

...and if you haven't seen my previous comment regarding cockpit view, I think rock crawling especially should be done from the cockpit, because irl you can't see what's under the vehicle, except from memory, and feel from the steering wheel.

If it makes you feel any better I sometimes get the random "ffb controller detected" on my g29 but since my pc is a bit old it freezes for a split second. Not common of an issue but I assume its a beam problem since no other game gives me that issue. Good video though I enjoyed watching you manhandle the Bastard-I-I-I mean Bastion
Hey, make sure you go to Steam settings and find Controller settings then click on Steam Controller General Configuration (something like that) and untick all of the options. Next go to BeamNG inside your Steam library and right click then properties and find Controller options / Controller support and set the option to Disable Steam Input. That will fix it, had the same problem and found the fix at their support page.
Bastion needs tubular chassis conversion as SuperCar in order to be fast.

You haven't really tested its maximum speed until you've taken it to Tereana City Superspeedway. And yes, you (anyone reading this) have my permission to convert the WIP track to BeamNG.

a tip for why your wheelbase disconnects can sometimes be due to the fact that you have one connected to the same controls for the usb ports, try changing around some ports or check on your motherboard's website and see which ports are on which controls, or if you have usb hub check if it is usb 2.0 or 3.0 for your computer, if it is a usb 3.0 then they should not be a problem but usb 2.0 is quite slow

I'm not sure if it's related, but look up the stuff about how to avoid wheels causing interference with VR stuff, perhaps that might offer a clue about your disconnect issue
I can teach you how to get your setups into time trials mode. There is a little bit of file work.
You need an info json to tell the menu that it's there. You can get one from the vanilla files and just modify it a bit.
You actually don't even need to do that. Check "Show custom vehicles in vehicle selector" in User Interface settings and any saved tune can be selected for time trials

@@Serzari I have been trying it and it still wont show custom configs even when you click, show configs. You need to set it up like they are in the game dir.

Tiametmarduk had a similar issue with his Fanatec wheel, I don't remember how he fixed it but you should ask him.

@@phrg8332 And another thing with the ffb is that sometimes it doesnt work, atleast for me, and i have to go into ffb settings, disable it and reenable it which gets annoying aftera while. But someone said it may be steam controller

I've got Fanatec DD1 with Heusinkveld Sprint pedals and I also get random disconnects of my Fanatec DD1 sometimes. Luckily it's never been during a race so far. If anyone finds a solution to this I would love to know the fix. :)
Are you using a usb hub? If so you could be running out of bandwith on the single usb from your pc to the hub.
@@drainplug1791 No. All my USB devices are connected straight into back of PC. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)
I had similar FFB-disconnects with my SimuCube 2 Pro and problem solved after RMA. They changed to the new electronics (the version with just on power-supply) and I wasn't the only one with this issue, but didn't seem common as well. I did all tricks to solve it before including using a PCIe-USB-card and it didn't depend on FFB-strength, but usually during corners. The SC2-v1 is older than the DD1 and maybe Fanatec thought it's a good idea to copy some mainboard-components/design-choices.
@@TOCA2FREAK hey, make sure you disable all the options inside steam general controller configuration and make sure you go right click on beamNG-properties and find steam input and set it to Disable steam input. I don't have the same wheel as you do but had disconnects just inside beamNG game while rest worked fine, it's worth giving a shot
i heard the usb disconnect sound at 6:42 and though MY mouse disconnected
Your disconnect issue could be caused by a USB host control issue, if you have an AMD system, update your BIOS. When I plug in my T300 it makes other devices disconnect/reconnect at random.

I don't think the tires in beamng are quite right. They are alot better since the update where they redid them. But they haven't got the slip angle working right yet.
Yeah the drifting is not the best.

Why do so many enjoy driving Beam NG... when I just cannot understand the force feedback in this game. Its always like its behind... I have tried with 3 wheel and different setups. All other racing games and sims are ok... its only beam I struggle with. Its like I am driving an 60 year old american car that reacts 2 seconds after your input. What am I doing wrong 😞
