In my middle grade books, I will use my own name. But for my adult fiction I will use a pen name. It's a Branding policy and is necessary. I don't want parents mistakenly buying adult books for their kids with my name in it. I have a pen name and have started to write in it. The problem arises when it comes to marketing. I did think of creating a complete fictional bio for my pen name character but what do you do at book signings? I am confident that my pen name is original and believable. I seem to have a gift for names if nothing else.

Hello, I’m writing children’s books under a pen name but work as a children’s nurse in real life and want to keep that separate. I do have a question if that’s ok
- if an author sells via an author website as a sole trader under their chosen publishing name are they allowed to do customer receipts in “pen name trading as publishing name” or must it be “real name trading as publishing name”. I know making the publishing company a limited company would give a legal identity to the company but I’m too new an author for that. I registered my real name with KDP/Ingram but want my company to be just a sole trader start up.

There is one author with the exact same name as me and one comic book writer with a similar name to mine. I have a few pen names listed I could use but it's hard because I still want to be authentic. I came up with one name that is just my last name, middle name, and first name backwards. I feel like some people might still have a problem with that still and get me confused with the other two authors and will have a problem with that so idk. Also the genre that I want to write in is similar to one of the authors as well.

how do you get a payments because no bank /paypal will accept any name thats not a corporation, but creating a corporation name is alot of work, hoe do you get a paymernt processing system witho a pen name thats not a corporation. nowriters who are just doing small books arent going to get a lawyer
