I've tried Reedsy and I am happy with the results. First, I like how they provide professionals who show their resume' credentials and reviews. Second, you have 5 professionals to compete with on cost, availability, and customizing to your needs. Third, the different levels of editing, layout, graphics, and sourcing is mind-boggling. You get a new appreciation for what these professionals do for writers. I've spent $1,500 on editing and I don't regret any of it. What good is publishing anything if you don't communicate effectively? I enjoyed your video on the University of TH-cam and look forward to more.

Question; Can I use the free version of grammarly to edit my self publish book or do I have to have a monthly membership to be able to use it?

I had a terrible experience with Reedsy. Beware. Not all are high quality editors.

I use Grammarly locally on my PC. I find it works ok but roughly on large (complete book) documents. Should I upload the book and run Grammarly on-line instead?

WARNING: do not sign an agreement with Penguin Books Publisher. They use the penguin logo but they’re not affiliated with penguin randomnhouse. They took my money and provided terrible terrible service…could not provide an appropriate illustrator for a picture book and when I ended the agreement, they refused to honour their agreement which stated 100% money back guarantee. They are thieves and terrible people who prey upon authors who want to see their book in print. SCAM company…prolly working from home in their smelly pyjamas. Karma is my only comfort because they will get what they deserve.

I just got scammed by urban book publishers who have wasted two years of my life, making me edit my own book, and using ai to do everything while purposely taking long breaks to feign working. So, I’m a bit cautious now that I am 5.5k lighter. I can admit it. I don’t know what I’m doing but its hard to trust after this.

Ok I feel like my format for my hardback needs to be totally different (bigger size/ coffee table type book)than my paperback. Do I create different books in Jutoh?

RE: Copyright.gov. I'm sorry to say, this gov site is the worst ever developed. BUT, aside from that, I've copyrighted my songs, films etc since the 70's. Is there a way to find a LIST of all of my copyrights on this website? Meaning I don't have to search each one out. I've put in my legal name which appears on all copyrights, and it seems to just randomly pick ONE of my copyrights. Hoping there is a way just like (BMI) for example which will display all of my published works. Thank you, Joel Justin

Thank you for this information. I was looking to publish on lulu but I still have my books on Kdp. If I publish them on lulu could I choose expanded distribution or would that create duplicate listings on Amazon?

Freelancers don't work the way company's do, writers of the west are great, a local company in New York, check them out, had a wonderful time with them.

I just came upon Reesdy today I signed up and began to use it. Am I to understand that I can use this to write my biographical memoir in a novel format? Is reedsy provide us money after review?

I write fiction books myself and coach others who've always wanted to write a book and then publish them. I use Grammarly Premium installed as a Chrome extension on a Chromebook, and write in Google Docs. It's VERY compatible. It's checking me as I write this comment! It speeds up everything I do. The $144 yearly subscription is "paid for" with the first book I run through it, several times over.

I couldn't put in my own ISBN, which I've used on KDP, on Ingram Sparks. And their website, when you attempt to upload, really is clunky.
