    I'm still learning. I've got recently to sub-4. I'm slow because of matter of being unexperienced. Many players out there have hundreds of hours, some even over 1000. They have learnt how to approach a certain object with the given vectors like the speed, acceleration and the object's properties like its angle, friction, its position, etc. I also like to be a little bit cocky during a trip, like playing a bit risky, doing fast hammer maneuvers and trying to cut some time where I can. I'm not using any tools like replaying the certain scenarios, because it'd make me a bot, which will return an error, if the specified conditions won't be met. I like to replay the entire course to replay some known strats or even discover some by a mistake

      I won't be making videos for a long time again due to a lack of time and motivation, but I've definitely thought about this video idea since there aren't a single video that shows them all. There's a lot more rare jumps than people think.

    what is the difference between strats and playstyles?

    • @clappv
      @clappv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question.
      A very simple way of explaining what a playstyle is to say that it is the way in which someone plays the game. We all play the game in our own way and have different preferences and playstyles.
      I decided to look at playstyles more comprehensively and I did that by breaking playstyles down into parts or "components". There are three playstyle components that make up our playstyles. These are hammer movement, strategies and techniques.
      Strategies are a playstyle component which impacts everyone's playstyle. We all use different strategies that we personally like, to some extent. A very clear example of this can be found at 9:50 , where 4 players with completely different playstyles start off tutorial in their own way.
      Players also have different hammer movements overall. Some play with a higher sensitivity and have quick hammer movement, where it is used to tap off objects more often. Some play with a lower sensitivity and thereby have a slow and smooth hammer movement, where object interaction with the hammer occurs less due to bigger movements being made. Examples of these two types of hammer movement here: 3:16 . Hammer aim is a part of hammer movement, and explains the skill level of the hammer movement. So for example, a sub 1:30 player would not be able to play like blastbolt, despite using the same strats.
      Techniques are a set type of hammer movement. What this means is that when this certain, specific type of hammer movement is used on multiple similar places on the map it produces the same outcome in terms of momentum and angles. The technique used in slide skip is called a pull pogo, in which you gain a certain amount of vertical momentum. You can do the approximately the same movement on other places as well, to achieve the same result. A very clear example here: 9:22
      Long answer I know, but perhaps there are others that want clarification on these components. I know from first hand experience just how hard it can be to distinguish them.

    honestly my playstyle isnt specific like i can be zoomer or modern boomer or even crackhead sometimes im feeling crackhead rn im getting like 8.6 tutos and sub 18 chimney paces when my pb is only like 1:24

    • @clappv
      @clappv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there are very few people whose playstyle can only be described as modern boomer for instance. Like I said in the b. & z. intro, every playstyle and run is unique, since everyone has a unique hammer movement and aim. Playstyles can also vary since the game is so hard, they're not static. However, almost everyone at least displays more boomer or zoomer qualities. I haven't seen you play so I can't tell your playstyle, but 8.6 tuto and sub 18 chim paces as 1:24 sounds very characteristic for zoomers.

    Is blast bolt playstyle crackhead?

    • @clappv
      @clappv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For simplicity's sake, you could say so. At the very least it's the playstyle he's the closest to. The interesting thing about blastbolt's playstyle is that he has the world's best hammer aim in runs, which certainly has an interesting effect.
      For one, this enables him to freely adapt to various strategies, both old and new. What is mean is that he's capable of utilizing the best zoomer strats available for humans, but also accurately imitate boomer playstyles for the heck of it.
      It also makes his hammer movement ridiculously precise and fast, even for crackhead standards, which as a whole is a combination I cannot overstate how rare is.
