Thank you Patrick for sharing that with us. I love your stories and followed you here from TikTok. I hope your channel grows immensely in popularity because I think anyone who is a fan of TV should hear your stories.
I'm so very happy for you!!! Nothing feels like finding your long lost family. My mom was adopted. We've since found her family and the synchronicity between their lives is incredible.
Thank you for sharing such a personal and touching story. I'm so sorry for the loss of your birth mother. I'm sure she was proud of you. Sending a hug!
Wow! You are a special guy! Thanks for sharing a private story. I have two adopted grandchildren. I did a master's project about adopted children and how to help educate families. It is so important that kids know about their adoption and that it is not kept secret. Every child goes through the "who am I" as they mature. It is super important for adopted children to know that they are super special. TFS!
Once again your honesty is really disarming. That’s what makes you a great actor. Happy you found peace with your family history. Great channel by the way. Well produced.
Oh Patrick, I'm happy for you at the same time I'm in tears. May God bless you and your brother as I know adoption can be heartwrenching at times, but so happy you were both adopted by such special people.
Hi Patrick..I grew up watching LHOTP when it originally aired. You have so many great stories, always interesting, usually funny but this time you got me! I'm sitting here blubbering like a dope lol. Seriously, that's so nice your birth mom got to watch you perform. I'll bet she was really proud. Did Matt ever find out anything about his back story? Happy holidays, Pat!.🎄🎁🎅⛄☀
Oh Patrick! I wasn't expecting to see you this emotional.❤ I'm so sad you never got to meet her.😭 What was her name? Did you ever see anything she acted in?
Very interesting story and perspective. As far as I've seen you've always addressed this subject and it was, sort of , coming out of the dark ages in the 70's. As I understand it, Melissa Gilbert and her brother (who was also on Little House) were also adopted. Was this something you were aware of during your time and your brothers time on the show? I apologize if this is way too personal of a question. I know you have done some writing. Have you ever written about aspects of your childhood? You just seem so positive and optimistic about things, finding the silver linings more often than not. Shows like Ted Lasso and Lessons in Chemistry seem to tap into that vein in interesting ways and this reminds me of that feeling.
I have a nephew and niece (siblings) that are adopted. I doubt that my niece will ever be able to find her birth parents as they are Chinese. I don't know if my nephew ever wants to meet his birth parents, or not, but when he was still a teenager he said that he thought he was a mistake. I hit him upside the back of his head and told him that he was a gift. I have a friend who was adopted and she did meet her birth family after her adopting parents had passed away. Lets just say that she is happy to know her heritage, but that's about it. They are constantly trying to guilt her into giving them money and all sorts of things. She has her brother, with whom she grew up, but not the birth family.
Very powerful
Great story!! I found my biological family a little over 20 years ago when I was 40.
OMG!!!! Dude this is crazy!!!!!!

So special! Happy you were able to get your questions answered. Too bad you didn't get to meet her. She'd probably be so proud of you.

Love this 💕I was adopted in the late 60s by wonderful parents. I pray daily for my birth mother who was so selfless.
