In an effort to provide shorter, more easily digestible videos I've started this new weekly series 'ME/CFS Quick Tips' 😊 In addition to my regular-length videos that come out on Monday I'm now sharing 1-2 additional videos later in the week with a quick tip you can consider implementing in your ME/CFS recovery right away 💙 I hope you find them helpful!
Fast regularly, keep sugar to a bare minimum. When I had CFS there was no way that I could do any type of exercise. Had to fix my gut first, then the energy came back.
What I struggle with is working-working-working but never getting any closer, or even slipping backward. When is repeating something a way to achieve a goal, and when is it - as the saying goes - just insanity?
Hi Martha, I'm learning that sometimes we need to try a little less, if that make sense? Still work towards our goal of course, but push less to get there. It's a slow and frustrating path and there are so many days when it's difficult to accept that, but we almost need to just move "ourselves" and our "priorities" out of the way so that our bodies can heal themselves.
That's amazing Dr. Furlan, thank you for making a video on this topic! We clearly need more information out there on this. I took a look at your channel and wow, what great content. Thank you for all that you do!
This video reminded me of something I just read. I signed up for Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s newsletter, and he writes a lot about working hard towards his goal. He also mentioned the power of meditation!!
If you have mecfs every day isn’t attainable due to pem. Five months ago I couldn’t even shower without ending up in bed again but I started eating a carnivore diet and now able to walk 10k steps 3x a week. I’ve just started back at the gym too. Don’t push yourself beyond your limits but to your limits.
Thank you for this. I've watched your ratio running video and i like it.it helped me much. I just want to know when you start any cardiac exercise/or go to gym? How did you start weight exercises like dumbell, pushups etc..... Please let us know
Hey Kuldip! Great question 😊 I've shared a ton on this, you might find this playlist here helpful. Wishing you all the best with this! th-cam.com/play/PLNX_MIJ_pJAaFBf3oG_wIALW61VCXQDHz.html
I’m in the pool doing deep water fitness and shallow water stretch 3-4 times a week. Fighting back. I’ve had two weeks of getting daily living skills back . I fell off my feet 2 months ago breaking my ankle. I made them give me a removable cast and wear a splint in the water. Of course I adapt. I am struggling with GI issues so and ultrasound tomorrow and endoscope biopsy next month. Never Give Up!

@@patrickhall7884 thanks for your response. Been working to take it easy but need to get out of bed one of these days. ❤️
Wow this is an awesome way to look at it! Really resonates with me as I used to spend a lot of time in the gym years ago!

What about rebounds or setbacks? I’m on about my 5th in 20 years. Each time I seem to fall further.
I'd like to know this too.
Sorry to hear that Joanne, it think it happens to most of us to some degree? 💛

I do believe the cyclical aspect holds some answers, somewhere.
Why the mornings are worst
