Dear Elise, thank you for your lovely lessons. Your use of a regular chalk board was the simplicity that attracted this old man to your video, of all others. Thank you and other Danish people for teaching the world about Denmark, its language and the marvelous, magic sense of community you guys have. You're doing a splendid job. I was going to pay for Danish lessons, but now I do not need to, since there are so many beautiful Danish people like you showing such an ardent desire to teach us for free!
Dansk person her! Jeg syntes det er et sjovt koncept at se folk lære om vores kultur og sprog, og jeg tror det har noget at gøre med at vi er sådan et lille land, men jeg elsker når andre danskere gør sådan noget her! Så tak! ;3
Thank you so much for making this video!!! I'm going to be an exchange student in Denmark next year and even though everyone tells me that danish pronunciation is nearly impossible for native english speakers to learn I'm determined! It would be super cool if you could make a video all about pronunciation and any other danish lessons you make would be extremely appreciated! P.S. your hair is super awesome and you have such a happy personality, jeg elsker your channel!!
I know you won't see this because this is a very old video but I AM IN LOVE with this, it's so funny and you are so adorable. Where is Lesson 2? (?) love from Argentina.
Hej mit navn er Sally. Jeg komme fra Australian. Jeg er 21 år gammel. Min mor og far er fra Danmark. I'm starting to learn Danish as I would like to visit my family there and to be able to see and experience everything as a Dane. So this helped especially with the pronunciation but I'm getting there I hope!
Hallo, mit navner es Cameron, mina venner kalder miy Cam, jeg er fjorten år gammel, jeg er fra New Zealand. I just found this video and am learning Danish as it seems very interesting! Hope you got to see your family and impress them with your Danish by now, and not during lockdown haha!
My Grandmother was from Denmark, so it always interest me when you talk about Denmark because I don't think I'll ever go there but I can still experience it though you Thank you so much
hej,jeg er 14 år gammel.jeg bor i danmark.i have stayed in Denmark for 1 year am still learning the language.the video helped me.and I learned atleast new words.tak.
I was going to make a really long comment as a linguist. This video quenched some of my curiosity regarding 32 vowel that Danish has and I can see that it's pretty easy to learn too. You did a great job there. :) You are so beautiful!
You came random on my feed, watch 1 video and i'm hooked, gonna watch al your vids, I love your style and personality. "Groetjes uit Nederland!" Greetings from the Netherlands ❤️
@Elise Buch ! First off, thanks for the video, it's very helpful! Can you do a video on the double d sound and the soft d? Like where our tongues should be, or any tips? Tusind tak!
Really nice video, but how do you speak the letters out? Because I know a little bit norwegian and it's spelled the same way, but probunced very different. To me it sounds, that you're not speaking out the d letter or like an L.
any new lessons? i am searching for some opportunities to start Danish lessons. This one you've prepared is so great. Can you write how can I say 'Polish' in Danish? And 'I am 30 years old'?
Ka Ro Poland is Polen in Danish. Like "I am from Poland" Jeg er fra Polen. Or I am polish. Jeg er polsk. Also, I am 30 years old - Jeg er 30 år gammel 🇩🇰
Som svensk hoppade jag över allt fram till din presentation, för att testa hur mycket jag förstår. Fram tills dess att du sagt vad du gillar var helt utan problem, sen gick det utför ^^ Enklare att läsa än höra ;) :)
I love this video! It would be great to see another video like this where you subtitle your section at the end. Like, give us the lesson, and then speak what you taught and subtitle it in English so we can follow. I studied Spanish and absolutely loved it, but I haven't used it since college. So it's quite rusty!
So...I'm from Canada and I don't speak any Danish at all. But I found out that I might be studying abroad in Denmark for my University program next year so if I'm going there I figured I should at least learn the basics. Thanks for making these videos! You are so pretty!! :) And this was so helpful! By the end of it I could actually understand some of what you were saying!
Hej, mit navn er Pedro. Jeg er 16 år gammel. Jeg er fra Brazilien. I'm going on an exchange this year and your videos are helping me a lot to improve my Danish (which is basically horrible at the moment). Tak!!!
How would you say "Love yourself" is it "Elsk dig selv"? or do you know a good way to say "Love your body" I didnt just want to google it because those translations tend to be word for word and not how people would really say it in Denmark, its for my business (my boyfriends mother is from denmark, but passed away and i thought it would be a nice way to honor her. Thank you!
This is a sign so many videos related to denmark have been recommended by youtube, I guess I do need to go to denmark and meet the girl i fell in love with.
Hello ! I'm french, and rellay liked your video. Your english is clear ! And i want to go to Danemark for my next holidays, and i don't speak fleunt english nr danish, so wit your video i can imrve both in te same time? So thank you :
Really love your Danish lesson Elise! But I still really confuse with Danish accent, because even I'm still learning hard to speak english.. haha.. greetings from Indonesia
Danish is such a cute sounding language, but it's so... fast. And the accentuation is soo weird. And I really like these special letters... :D I think it's funny, that there are a few similarities between Danish and German. For example the numbers: In, I think, most languages you've got first the "big" and then the "small" number. (Like if you have 23, in Englisch you have first the twenty (the big number) and then the three (as the small number)). But in German and Danish it is reverse, you say the small number, like 3, before the big number, like 20. (And when you said 14, it sounded a bit like a bavarian/swiss-german word or like you were yodeling. :D) Also I THINK you could translate the "I like sentence" literally in German. In Danish: Jeg kan godt lide In German: Ich kann gut leiden In English it would be something like "I can tolerate/endure/stand well" (?) (Only very few people this German sentence here, but it exists and probably everyone understands it. I think it's an old saying and mostly elderly people would say it.) And many country names are the same or very similar to the German words. (For example Indien, Indonesien, Australien, Polen, Lithauen and Romania would be Rumänien in German but ä = ae, so it's really quite similar in writing.)
Davs 😊 Jeg hedder Genevie Jeg er fire og tyve år gammel Jeg kommer fra Filippinerne 😊😊😊 Your videos are amazing this helps a lot of foreigner who visiting or living in denmark 💗
i want to prepare my self to live there and the languaje its crussial ,any help maybe some one there ,want to learn spanish ,or frends to practice,,im honestly greatfull
Can you do another lesson please , when you teach us how to tell people how the journey was , or asking someone for a way in the street , thank you by the way , that was useful yeg kan godt lide elise ^^
+Marisol Hernández Gómez Mexico. Pronounced the exact same way, but remember, that instead of going "MexicO", as in a highnote O, you go down low making a deeper O. Like when the guy in mortal combat says "K.O" :)
Jag er fra Sverige ;) (impressed now, right? haha!) In swedish it is: Jag är från Sverige. Very similar! But also Sweden and Denmark are very very VERY near each other!
This is so great, though apparently at 40 I'm totally outside what you consider to be your demographic audience 😀. But maybe a graduate degree in Linguistics helps my cool factors 😎
