47 is my inboard loom length. I came up with 7.589 ft. Should I go with 7 ft or 8 ft oars?

Ok, but at what distance do install the oarlocks on the oars?

Put the paddles 4 to 10 inches from each other centered.

    Why 24 x 25 ÷ 7?
Is the 25 ÷ 7 in all inboard loom length measurement?

I'm just making 100% sure. This is to find the entire length oar, not just the oar shaft, correct?

    Ok, I want oars for my 30 foot lobster boat. 9.5 feet x 12= 114 inches. /2 +2 = 59. *25/7= 210.71 or about 17.5 feet.
