The replacing of the Jupiter Draw, at the same site while maintaining service, is going to be a fascinating display of engineering and logistical skills. Should be as interesting as the Cocoa Tunnel project!
@ 10:35 the Dixie Highway, up here in Michigan it's called the old Dixie highway, and Sault Ste. Marie is the northern terminus of the highway, Sault is pronounced Soo where Soo Line comes from there's still old bridges with Soo Line on them. I need to sleep so you have a good night I'll finish watching your video tomorrow at 3 AM when I ready myself for work, have fun.
Great work! Is the new Jupiter bridge going to be longer/higher/wider? Doesn't look like much room with the old bridge. It is absolutely mindblowing how much they have gotten accomplished.
I believe one section is going to have a higher clearance and the drawbridge itself may be longer to have a bigger channel, otherwise it will be fairly similar.
I really liked that footage of the progress at the bridge in Jupiter. One reason was because there was work being done as you shot area., and another was the activity of the shuttle in operation. Is the bridge going to be a double or single track? What will you do for videos once the project is done? It's still some months away yet, but I am curious. You've done a great job documenting this whole thing .
Oh wow this is an awesome update. One non Brightline related question. Do FEC trains call signals on the mainline? Can’t wait to see this when it’s all completed. It will look so different than the last time I was down there a few years ago.
What will be replaced on the Jupiter Drawbridge? Will the decks go or be repaired, will the piers be replaced? I assume the mechanical components will be new at least
watching Brightline's network expand is like watching a puzzle get finished.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the progress
Awesome Brightline construction update video 🙂😮
Cool update. Getting close to full double track, nice sign of progress.

Thanks for the great video update
Thanks for the update, it’s coming along.

Moving along...
Thank you... !
Great stuff, thanks.

Almost all bridges are being completely rebuilt, as well as significant sections of track. Is FEC paying for its share of refurb?
Its all being paid for by Brightline since the FEC could have continued on as it had without any of the upgrades.

They do not call signals
Good to know. Are they keeping the original defect detectors or are they replacing them?
I’m not sure right now

I believe everything is being replaced. Some of the piers might be resided but everything else will be new.
@@RoamingRailfan Will the lift section be replaced too?
Yes
13:03 "Trains may exceed 80 mph"
Did I miss something? I thought the initial service should be 79 mph max until Cocoa
North of west Palm beach the maximum speed in certain areas will be 110mph, then 125 on the dedicated line to Orlando.
Do you have a video of how the ties are dropped?
Thats one thing I have yet to see
Will the bridge in Jupiter remain a drawbridge?
Yes
How long is the forecasted trip time end to end ?
3 hours from Orlando to Miami
Is the shuttle wagon a Trakmobile with a flatcar?
A shuttle wagon is essentially just a trackmobile made by another manufacturer.
@@RoamingRailfan Thanks. Thought it looked a little flat faced, compared to the Trakmobiles I've seen.
