The innovation Way Crossing shows what great solutions can be achieved if road and rail planing work hand in hand. Of course there is a german word for this: "Bauvorleistung".
I was never sure this plan would come together, but you video clearly shows the commitment to make it all happen. What a huge project this is. (What a huge amount of work on your part to film it all make a cohesive story!)
amazing how much has been done, how much still needs to be accomplished. I work at the MCO airport and live in Cocoa. So crazy to watch all of it happening! Thanks for your updates!
Your video was a monumental task as well, wow, what a production! This is a fantastic project, I hope it will extend between Orlando and the west coast to alleviate interstate congestion to some degree.
Always enjoy your videos. Cannot wait to see the video from the first train on the route. Heck, I might just fly down to Florida to ride it myself :-) I'm curious where this project ranks all time in the history of Florida in terms of manhours, dollars spent, and dirt moved.
It's a fantastic project, a shame it was not developed along when Disney went up! The congestion along I-4 Orlando-Tampa is insane, hope they go on to the west!
You did a fantastic job on this video! I'm particularly interested in the Brevard County section and your details are great. I will share with friends to explain what's happening. I'm very excited to see the Virgin trains going through our county and I hope Amtrak can join them on the FEC rails eventually!
A thorough overview and update. Thank you for all you do to keep us informed. Hopefully, they can workout the complexities to continue the line to Tampa in the mid tp late 2020's.
This project will be a great success IMO, providing that Brightline doesn't become known as "Disney Rail" in 20 years time. Their only goal should be to consistently beat cars on medium distance journeys.
This qualifies as “Higher” Speed Rail since it will max out at 125mph. I’ll only do a long video like this once or twice a year since it takes up a lot of editing time that I could use to put out completely new content.
How would one get to take the first train to travel between Orlando airport and West Palm etc.? Would it be on their website or what? And of course I enjoyed your videos greatly
Maybe someone has already asked this, but has Brightline ordered new train sets for the expansion? I would assume they would have more trains running more often when the extension opens.
@@RoamingRailfan It will be great to see how this all works out for Brightline. I am hoping it goes well and private passenger rail will add to the Amtrak lines to form a more complete passenger rail system in the US.
Well done compilation! It gives one a relatively complete sense of the progress being made, which is impressive. I noticed one glaring omission, however. The bridge over the St Lucie River. What's the story on that project?
How does BrightLine profit ? I mean did they get venture and secondary investor funding capital plus stock ? I mean this is serious infrastructure development. I take it there’s state funding and/or ownership as well ? - I mean I guess the right of way wasn’t too much to acquire since it was already there such that eminent domain didn’t have to be done ?
@@RoamingRailfan so I guess brightline won't be running through downtown Orlando that would be nice to see. I know that sunrail run through downtown Orlando but it would be nice to have two different trains in downtown Orlando.

Oh man, I can’t wait for this line to be in service. I know that Brightline will serve Florida very well for many years to come.

Thank you for all your effort in showing us this. I am fascinated by this and look forward to using it when we move to FL.
You do a great job with your videos. Many thanks.
You’re awesome, congrats on the centennial. I don’t know if you’re in the hurricane region but stay safe.

Great video, can't wait for it to be done.
Great episode. Thanks for documenting this build.
Congratulations on your excellent Railfan magazine article!
do you have a link to a writeup of it? i cant seem to find it
Only available in print
Very nice! A lot of work but its cool to see the whole thing strung all together .
Thanks for the update
Great video as always thank you !
Thank you your work is awesome
Latest Video earns a grade of "A". Would have liked to see the Northlake Boulevard Crossing and a little bit more of the St. John's River Bridges.
Not much to show at Northlake and I don’t have access to legally get anything else of the St. John’s River
@@RoamingRailfan Thanks. "A+" Actually excellent music. Agreeing with the rest, keep up the good work.
An amazing video!
Will their be a train station in Vero Beach Fl ? Disney Resort in Vero Beach are hopeful this will happen.
Nothing planned at this time
Great job! Doesn't leave very many unanswered questions. Does this qualify as "HSR"? How often will you a full -length video like this one?

Are there any plans yet to add some stations between Orlando and West Palm Beach ? Like Melbourne, Port St. Lucie or Vero Beach ?
They are investigating opportunities for fill in stations to add after service to Orlando begins
I’m planning to travel from Omaha Nebraska for some beach time and would love to ride this railroad! Summer 2022 be a good time?
It will still be under construction then, but 2023 should be good.
@@RoamingRailfan well then I'll come back!

Too far away to speculate now.
Maybe someone has already asked this, but has Brightline ordered new train sets for the expansion? I would assume they would have more trains running more often when the extension opens.
They have 5 more trains and additional cars for their existing trains on order.

when the rail to Orlando is finished, are you going to take a first ride to Orlando or I don't know when are going to have a ride when it's finished?
I think its safe to say I'll be on one of the first trains
@@RoamingRailfan I’ll be there too!
Any status report on new stations in Aventura and Boca Raton that are being built ?
No construction at either location yet as far as I know.

The Stuart Drawbridge is not going to be replaced at this time, so it will remain just as it is now.
What is happening about connecting Tampa to the Orlando area?
They are still negotiating the lease for the right of way.
@@RoamingRailfan The congestion on I-4 is insane, travel between Orlando and Tampa is a nightmare. Hopefully rail service will help with that!
Is it going to connect with the semi new train that starts somewhere north of Sanford?
No

Fully private funding
I had a question, is there no intermediate stations between West Palm Beach and Orlando International?
Initially no but they are looking at opportunities for fill in stations to add after service begins.
Okay, thank you 😁 and keep uploading such great videos. 😁
Is the arch tunnel wide enough for 2 trains?
Yes
Can you help me plz? Where are the train stations going to be?
Initially they will be at Orlando International Airport, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

Brightline will not be going to downtown Orlando and I don’t know anything about Sunrail’s expansion plans.
These types of videos are cool; It’s just that I can’t grasp that this is how people actually make a living, making videos. It’s kinda weird.
This is my hobby, not my career, and definitely not profitable by any means.
