- Super Mario Odyssey Online Hide and Seek has been around for awhile, but it's time for Super Mario Odyssey FREEZE TAG! Freeze Tag is a brand new Mario Odyssey online multiplayer gamemode, featuring @Smallant, @Fir, @CraftyBoss925, @Tyron18, @Mars2030YT, and @katiepunch!

I was gonna like this coment but it's has 420 likes so....
I was initially worried this wouldn't match the hype of the most intense hide 'n' seek chases, but then around 3:18 Crafty made a super risky play and I was already shaking my fists in excitement. And then the round ended with a big clusterfuck of tags and I was jumping up and down. This mode's a winner, Amy - fantastic work!
Edit: OMG and Katie saving the boys at 11:35! The stakes are so high with the threat of a full team KO
Edit 2: aaaaagh and the metagaming at the end!!!! Oh man you never see this sort of backstabby strategerizing in hide 'n' seek this elevates things to a whole new level
this was such a fun series of rounds and we all know it's only going to get more exciting from here so stay tuned! >:D
Round 2 was so good. Amethyst and Crafty against the movement gods, and then somehow Katie ended up being the last one standing and she even clutched up a save. Always good to see the improvement of everyone in this game. Smant, Fir, and Mars are just set a really high bar for everyone else.

I really hope Amethyst considers releasing like a “making of” video about the process of making the mod and the winter stages. It was so fun watching it all come together and it would be so incredibly satisfying to see a video that just goes through some of the decision making (not so much a “how to” but a “here’s all the things I changed and why”), followed by footage of people actually using and playing the mod and stages.
Really hoping to do something like that! Probably won't come along for a decent while, but definitely on my wishlist of stuff to make!
I'm happy Crafty has a facecam now. His constant smiling and laughing is just so contagious. I also feel like you came out of your shell more since you use a facecam, which makes the videos much better!
Pardon the pun but this is seriously one of the coolest mods for this game I've ever seen. Not only is it just a really neat game mode but all the little aesthetic things like actually getting frozen in a chunk of ice, that really nice wipeout logo, even changing the signs to have snowflakes! And Slusheon Kingdom looks great, the perfect icing on top... pardon that pun too...
Amy and Katie were GOATed this game. Both played insanely

I like the points system! I think it's a genius way to incentivize saving others and it avoids teammates sabotaging each other.
This is, of course, only coming from a design standpoint. We love sabotage.
I am continually impressed by how talented, but also wholesome, this modding community is.

Seriously, how she just shelled out something _this_ polished as the first iteration of a mod is incredible. I also tried to get into modding relatively recent games some time ago and I can only roughly estimate how annoyingly high her patience with this must be, even if the tools have gotten better over the years.
Absolutely love this game mode. Its chaos and so fun to watch
I wasn't sure I would end up liking this more than Hide and Seek, but this was so much better in terms of excitement. With Hide and Seek, you end up with mostly watching players sit in place if their spot is good and maybe see a couple of good chases, so it's not super exciting, where as this is just all exciting chases all the time. Big fan, and would love to see more of this content, especially if you can get even more players involved!

This is a great new mode, well done Amy!
As an extension to tag in general, we used to play a version of tag at school in England which involves staying off the evil team (trying to tag people) and everyone would have a stop watch, and your time only went up if you were on the good team; as soon as you get tagged, you have to stop your time until you tag someone else. At the end of 15 minutes, you scored 1 point for every 10 seconds on your clock. Simple but very hectic, and the constantly changing teams was always great fun!
This was so much more fast paced than regular hide and seek, with more people doing high-risk plays! A super cool idea, thank you for making the mod!
The concept is so much better and fun since freeze tag is freeze all the players to win so the fact that there’s a score system counting everything is fantastic!

I think aside from the wonderful mods, the best changes since the beginning of Hide and Seek are Amy's and Crafty's faces
Since Moon Cave is big enough by itself, you could probably do a round just in there.

The animations for selecting kingdoms and seekers/chasers just keeps getting better. (Was there for the stream. It was SO FUN to watch. Can’t wait for another one)

I had a thought that this game mode might be fun with hidden nametags and proximity chat, that way it makes it a bit tense as the runners have to look around the kingdom searching for frozen people, and can't be called over from across the kingdom or be warned in advance of traps by the seekers. As it is it's super cool but I find the constant action a little draining
name tags help with both editing and for viewers

Now I wanna see a Lockout-style mod where players race to get moons, but every moon can only be collected by one player. Most after a time limit wins

I was there for a good chunk of the stream. It was a lot of fun, and definitely a lot quicker than hide and seek.

This looks like so much fun. Very good game design since the runners get points for both surviving AND saving their friends. It really discourages to just hide in a corner somewhere and encourages teamwork AND rivalries! Can't wait to see more
