Mona sounds witchy in the best way, just like Maria Lucia, Willemijn, Idina and Hye-Na Park Though, Willemijn remains my QUEEN, especially after Frozen 2, where she somehow sounds more fitting than ever! And like you, I prefer her German versions! She somehow sounds younger and more connected to Elsa, and the slight roughness gives this intimacy and personality to her portrayal that scores majorly over the bombastic, stage-y vocal perfection of the Dutch one, in my opinion

I don't agree with quite some ranks in here, especially since I like quite many of your lower ranks and I'm not the biggest fan of your n°1 (not saying I don't like her but she's overrated). But I am a fan of the way you express your opinion. I can really comprehend the way you look at Elsa and how you hear the voices of hers. First and foremost; the editing is far better than your earlier ones.....seems like you gave good time to this ranking; and the result is pretty good. OK, now the ranking *jaw-dropped*; I have no idea where to begin, I have a feeling we see Elsa in a similar way, but there are a lot of voices you have jumbled up and my opinion is somewhere scattered around....I do find Augusta a real good fit to Elsa though...and not at all 'warm & fluffy'; it's just that, she's kiddish. And I rather find Idina very relatable to Elsa as the speaking, but singing...naah, it doesn't sound right. I basically love all the voices in your top 20...all; more or less. And I repeat: one of your best rankings till now; you should probably give rankings a break and make them only when you absolutely have the 'craving' feel to make one; they're much more enjoyable to see [honestly] ;)
I practiced with my language ranks because they are smaller, this time I'm looking for more simplicity and also being more careful about not making mistakes in the editing!! Although I think I still like the editing in my Rapunzel ranking, the background was good and simple so the text looked clean.
Almost every other Elsa ranking, in which the voices are actually ranked in numbers, have got huge dislikes....so there's no point beating your head to the wall regarding them......just keep it up; it's the most humorous ranking I've seen up here on YT honestly..... ;)

Eeeeh!! I was waiting for you to do an Elsa ranking, and here it is!! That last place, though :'( I love her, it's probably the "I expected less" feeling of it all, I mean, she was the last Elsa I ever heard, so to see such an inspirational and unique Elsa was very surprising, and I like how she doesn't force herself into the song, like Lithuanian and Slovene do IMO. I totally agree with Croatian, she souns like she's being hit or hitting someone else really hard LOL. I was surprised to see Anna in the lowest 5, though I get it, she's much blander in Frozen, and highly forgettable, though not painful in any way. One time I had someone say in a comment on my own Elsa video that I was being to harsh on Lisa Stokke, but I have yet to find a person that has something good to say about her xD The lack of attempt at a normal vibrato is very bothersome with Taryn indeed, I think it ruins the admittedly potentially great performance! That unpopular opinion alert killed me!!!! I laughed out loud, I was so surprised by it xD One time I replied on an Elsa voting where Jelena won, how I didn't think she deserved to win, because I thought she didn't have that star power people say she had. I don't know why I felt this way (and I got flamed for it by many replies) but you've pretty much summarized it. I do still have her in my top 10, because I do easily enjoy her, but its simplicity makes me not put her in my top 5. Seeing Sia so low was very startling, though I guess I get what you're saying. She is special, but even though she sounds probably the least similar to Idina out of all, that does make the song chaotic. But I probably enjoy her rendition of Let It Go the most out of any Elsa, so I still am in love with her. The problem I feel you're having with Japanese Elsa is the same I have with Thai Anna, I was really looking forward to seeing something new, and I was promptly disappointed by how much she sounds like the rest. LOL I remember there was a time way in the beginning where Polish was like the most beloved with Italian, good time, good times. I still like her a lot, though she is definitely the most forgettable in my top 10 IMO. Soooo...... Icelandic?! I was so surprised to see that one 0_o She's so much higher than I imagined, though that low-pitched version on TH-cam definitely showed that she has potential, however, she sounds too constipated in LIG for me, sorry ^^ I 100% agree with Slovak!! As much as I want to always be rooting for the underdog, and as much as I've gotten new respect for English voices, I still don't love Idina that much. I mean, her voice gets so much hate, I want to defend Dazeem's honor so bad, but I'm just not capable of doing it (also I made a pact to always put her and Mona together and I don't want to put Mona higher :P ). 100% agree with Korean. As the only person who likes Deniz Sujana I must tell you that I like calm voice with calm performance better than calm voice with over-the-top bad-shit-craziness that Begum has! I dunno, I think Begum's not terrible, but I find her to be of a much lower memorability than Polish or Serbian, where some notes do stick with me. Seeing Dutch lower than German was unexpected too, though I can't say I don't understand why. There are many differences between the roles, much more than Giséla's, so it's just a matter of taste I guess. I guess I liked the restraint and more personal sounds of the Dutch version more than the bombastic, more simplistic German version, but oh well :) I like Hu a lot, I think she's better in Brave, and worse in Enchanted. Hungarian did once have a place among my top 10, back when not all the versions had been released yet and some later favs like Arabic and Swedish were still unknown to me :) but sadly she had to make way for them.
Even if really low thank you for giving some love to Idina, Augusta, Girmante and Taryn they might miss something as Elsa but don't deserve the hate and they're chosen to be Elsa for a reason❤❤❤
Interesting ranking! You have lots of unpopular opinions. 1. I wouldn't say I necessarily like Willemijn better in the Dutch dub... but it's closer to my heart since it's her native language. But Willemijn is just.
Interesting rankings, I think Swedish sounds the most generic and not generic bad but generic good, she's good but she has no surprises but she's good, like my cousin said when hearing her " ehh...she's okay", I still can't get over Cantonese, if only Jobelle take some Cantonese class before start singing in this movie =×= ( I spend more time making fun of her pronunciation, but at least Kady saves the FTFTINF reprise for me), Korean is okay, she's good yup...that's there is to it, she's good but they pitched her voice way too much and I was instantly turned off, not to mention Hye-na and Li (I forgot her name) duets are very...umm unsynchronised ( one was too low and the other is too loud, and it's not even a good kind of contrast ), I think the most important part is how these voices touches you personally, personally I don't think any of the Japanese voices sounds the same (the evidence is when I watch Ayame video of Japanese Disney Princesses), but again, personal preferences ( I wanna type more but this is long enough =_=)

For every princess, there's always one personal ranking on youtube that you watch and you just think, 'that makes so much sense', and 'thats exactly what i was trying to say but i could never find the right words', and 'oh my goodness i one hundred percent agree with every single word you just wrote'. for elsa, this is that ranking. actually a lot of my favourite voices of all time were ranked very low here, like norwegian and ukrainian, but even though i love them i still agree with what you said. your comments are perfect. the only thing i have a problem with here is serbian. dont get me wrong, she's low on my list too, but she used to be my number one and dropped thirty places. i have a special attachment to her version, because when i first watched frozen i thought it was good but nothing special. when i heard jelena's version, it was like someone pushed a button and tears just started pouring out of my eyes. it was jelena who made me love frozen and elsa and if it wasn't for her i literally wouldnt be in this fandom at all. like i had never even seen a disney movie before. so even though i dont like jelena much either anymore, whenever i see a ranking with her low my heart just breaks in half. but i respect your opinion, i LOVE this ranking and i love how you are so open with your comments. even though your opinion is basically the exact opposite of mine, i still agree with everything you said about each version. if that makes any sense at all. my gawd this is long :D

Softly and friendly respectfully I disagree mostly with; Latvian (true what you say but I think the voice is special and something I expected to hear for Elsa), Bulgarian (she's good I think), Ukrainan (not screaming imo :D), , Hebrew (I really like her), Estonian (love this too), Greek (same here), Slovene (I dislike her), Icelandic (dislike here too.. the lack of Valgethur Guthnasdottir as Elsa is tragic. I think Guthbjorg Magnusdottir (Yocheved) would have been an excellent choice too. Kind of has that solidb metallic sound like Annika and Nikolett but with a little bit of ice like Valgethur

I remember when the Swedish version came first time people were complaining in comments that she was nothing like Idina and the voice was not as good nor special nor powerful. But in this "youtube community" specific languages are always ranked high no matter what the voice is like and that's why I thought to say longer comment since I feel like I have to give good reasons if I don't agree. And it's not in the language, being a Finnish I hear Swedish every day, both singing and speaking and not just animated, I don't think Annika's voice is special, she sounds a lot like normal Swedish woman. I don't like our Elsa, I think LIG is very disappointing and translation is awful. I'm also saying here: I don't get how quite many people actually like her so much, not being rude towards the singer but I think she could have done better in LIG. To me that voice is also very ordinary-sounding, and she yells most of it. Overall I think Nordics except Denmark chose quite disappointing voices for Elsa, it's Snow Queen story after all, we know it and I was expecting to hear some super phenomenal performances. I don't need to be a professional singer to say what's good or bad about singers. Also if you use the definition 'earns money to do the activity' of professional then technically yeah I am a professional, though pop star I'm not. But you know if I ever re-do this video I will be a little nicer, and in fact I've tried to be a ltitle nicer ever since, but sometimes I can't tiptoe around the things I don't like. Like the languages, but don't think they did very well with Elsa. Other than Czech which is a version I adore. But these languages brought some good Annas - I love Bulgarian, Polish, Slovak, and Ukrainian Anna.

I don't agree with quite some ranks in here, especially since I like quite many of your lower ranks and I'm not the biggest fan of your n°1 (not saying I don't like her but she's overrated).
But I am a fan of the way you express your opinion. I can really comprehend the way you look at Elsa and how you hear the voices of hers. And then even when I don't agree on a rank I see your comment on it and I'm like: Well ok fair enough, she has a point though!

First and foremost; the editing is far better than your earlier ones.....seems like you gave good time to this ranking; and the result is pretty good.
OK, now the ranking *jaw-dropped*; I have no idea where to begin, I have a feeling we see Elsa in a similar way, but there are a lot of voices you have jumbled up and my opinion is somewhere scattered around....I do find Augusta a real good fit to Elsa though...and not at all 'warm & fluffy'; it's just that, she's kiddish. And I rather find Idina very relatable to Elsa as the speaking, but singing...naah, it doesn't sound right. I basically love all the voices in your top 20...all; more or less.
And I repeat: one of your best rankings till now; you should probably give rankings a break and make them only when you absolutely have the 'craving' feel to make one; they're much more enjoyable to see [honestly] ;)
I practiced with my language ranks because they are smaller, this time I'm looking for more simplicity and also being more careful about not making mistakes in the editing!! Although I think I still like the editing in my Rapunzel ranking, the background was good and simple so the text looked clean.

That last place, though :'( I love her, it's probably the "I expected less" feeling of it all, I mean, she was the last Elsa I ever heard, so to see such an inspirational and unique Elsa was very surprising, and I like how she doesn't force herself into the song, like Lithuanian and Slovene do IMO. I totally agree with Croatian, she souns like she's being hit or hitting someone else really hard LOL. I was surprised to see Anna in the lowest 5, though I get it, she's much blander in Frozen, and highly forgettable, though not painful in any way. One time I had someone say in a comment on my own Elsa video that I was being to harsh on Lisa Stokke, but I have yet to find a person that has something good to say about her xD The lack of attempt at a normal vibrato is very bothersome with Taryn indeed, I think it ruins the admittedly potentially great performance! That unpopular opinion alert killed me!!!! I laughed out loud, I was so surprised by it xD One time I replied on an Elsa voting where Jelena won, how I didn't think she deserved to win, because I thought she didn't have that star power people say she had. I don't know why I felt this way (and I got flamed for it by many replies) but you've pretty much summarized it. I do still have her in my top 10, because I do easily enjoy her, but its simplicity makes me not put her in my top 5. Seeing Sia so low was very startling, though I guess I get what you're saying. She is special, but even though she sounds probably the least similar to Idina out of all, that does make the song chaotic. But I probably enjoy her rendition of Let It Go the most out of any Elsa, so I still am in love with her. The problem I feel you're having with Japanese Elsa is the same I have with Thai Anna, I was really looking forward to seeing something new, and I was promptly disappointed by how much she sounds like the rest. LOL I remember there was a time way in the beginning where Polish was like the most beloved with Italian, good time, good times. I still like her a lot, though she is definitely the most forgettable in my top 10 IMO. Soooo...... Icelandic?! I was so surprised to see that one 0_o She's so much higher than I imagined, though that low-pitched version on TH-cam definitely showed that she has potential, however, she sounds too constipated in LIG for me, sorry ^^ I 100% agree with Slovak!! As much as I want to always be rooting for the underdog, and as much as I've gotten new respect for English voices, I still don't love Idina that much. I mean, her voice gets so much hate, I want to defend Dazeem's honor so bad, but I'm just not capable of doing it (also I made a pact to always put her and Mona together and I don't want to put Mona higher :P ). 100% agree with Korean. As the only person who likes Deniz Sujana I must tell you that I like calm voice with calm performance better than calm voice with over-the-top bad-shit-craziness that Begum has! I dunno, I think Begum's not terrible, but I find her to be of a much lower memorability than Polish or Serbian, where some notes do stick with me. Seeing Dutch lower than German was unexpected too, though I can't say I don't understand why. There are many differences between the roles, much more than Giséla's, so it's just a matter of taste I guess. I guess I liked the restraint and more personal sounds of the Dutch version more than the bombastic, more simplistic German version, but oh well :) I like Hu a lot, I think she's better in Brave, and worse in Enchanted. Hungarian did once have a place among my top 10, back when not all the versions had been released yet and some later favs like Arabic and Swedish were still unknown to me :) but sadly she had to make way for them.

1. I wouldn't say I necessarily like Willemijn better in the Dutch dub... but it's closer to my heart since it's her native language. But Willemijn is just.
Interesting rankings, I think Swedish sounds the most generic and not generic bad but generic good, she's good but she has no surprises but she's good, like my cousin said when hearing her " ehh...she's okay", I still can't get over Cantonese, if only Jobelle take some Cantonese class before start singing in this movie =×= ( I spend more time making fun of her pronunciation, but at least Kady saves the FTFTINF reprise for me), Korean is okay, she's good yup...that's there is to it, she's good but they pitched her voice way too much and I was instantly turned off, not to mention Hye-na and Li (I forgot her name) duets are very...umm unsynchronised ( one was too low and the other is too loud, and it's not even a good kind of contrast ), I think the most important part is how these voices touches you personally, personally I don't think any of the Japanese voices sounds the same (the evidence is when I watch Ayame video of Japanese Disney Princesses), but again, personal preferences ( I wanna type more but this is long enough =_=)

For every princess, there's always one personal ranking on youtube that you watch and you just think, 'that makes so much sense', and 'thats exactly what i was trying to say but i could never find the right words', and 'oh my goodness i one hundred percent agree with every single word you just wrote'. for elsa, this is that ranking. actually a lot of my favourite voices of all time were ranked very low here, like norwegian and ukrainian, but even though i love them i still agree with what you said. your comments are perfect. the only thing i have a problem with here is serbian. dont get me wrong, she's low on my list too, but she used to be my number one and dropped thirty places. i have a special attachment to her version, because when i first watched frozen i thought it was good but nothing special. when i heard jelena's version, it was like someone pushed a button and tears just started pouring out of my eyes. it was jelena who made me love frozen and elsa and if it wasn't for her i literally wouldnt be in this fandom at all. like i had never even seen a disney movie before. so even though i dont like jelena much either anymore, whenever i see a ranking with her low my heart just breaks in half. but i respect your opinion, i LOVE this ranking and i love how you are so open with your comments. even though your opinion is basically the exact opposite of mine, i still agree with everything you said about each version. if that makes any sense at all.

Softly and friendly respectfully I disagree mostly with; Latvian (true what you say but I think the voice is special and something I expected to hear for Elsa), Bulgarian (she's good I think), Ukrainan (not screaming imo :D), , Hebrew (I really like her), Estonian (love this too), Greek (same here), Slovene (I dislike her), Icelandic (dislike here too.. And I really too think this would have been the role of Valge, she sounds always too icy to me, here it would have been perfect), LA Spanish (not my favs :|), Lithuanian (sister of Slovenian, dislike), Portuguese (Portuguese has little Poland-syndrome, I like her but she does nothing to me), Swedish (the most overrated voice ever.., no wait, Molly&Mimmi are.. but I think she's good but nothing special, just normal Swedish female voice and in powerful parts she sounds unpleasant. Swedes were disappointed at this when it was released, I'm surp..oh I'm not even surprised it's popular among foreigners. She's mid-cast for me)

Poland does this every time: they choose either perfect voice - which is totally forgettable for me and I never remember it, or weird voice that I find annoying and dislike. In Frozen they did both:D Elsa is great and I'm happy for Poles but next to other voices she just disappears.
Totally agree with Finnish one, I have heard her in her own songs and she manages to sound really icy and sweet there and then to this she just went so wrong. I think I'll also claim the director: if a person who has studied singing for years sings too aggressively and especially off the tune at points you should be able to say "let's take this again in bit different way!" :|

I think Guthbjorg Magnusdottir (Yocheved) would have been an excellent choice too. Kind of has that solidb metallic sound like Annika and Nikolett but with a little bit of ice like Valgethur

I remember when the Swedish version came first time people were complaining in comments that she was nothing like Idina and the voice was not as good nor special nor powerful. Though yeah also the lyrics were complained. And I agreed on that though I liked the version. But in this "youtube community" specific languages are always ranked high no matter what the voice is like and that's why I thought to say longer comment since I feel like I have to give good reasons if I don't agree.
Don't rage on me, calm down. Portuguese, Polish, Swedish version = all are great for me, if I'd make ranking they would be around 25 to top 10 I believe. My point is perhaps that they all are very common sounding. Actually only my native version totally disappointed me, I think Elsa's voices are really good.

I've been here on youtube quite long, I know these people, we comment on each others videos and tell what we disagree and agree on! I said to many other versions "I dislike it" and people from those countries aren't here yelling at me. Personal tastes. And it's not in the language, being a Finnish I hear Swedish every day, both singing and speaking and not just animated, I don't think Annika's voice is special, she sounds a lot like normal Swedish woman.
I don't like our Elsa, I think LIG is very disappointing and translation is awful. I'm also saying here: I don't get how quite many people actually like her so much, not being rude towards the singer but I think she could have done better in LIG. To me that voice is also very ordinary-sounding, and she yells most of it.
Overall I think Nordics except Denmark chose quite disappointing voices for Elsa, it's Snow Queen story after all, we know it and I was expecting to hear some super phenomenal performances.

+Arya Stark there's a common misconception that in order to criticize something you need to yourself be able to 'do better'. that's not true. I don't need to be a professional singer to say what's good or bad about singers. Also if you use the definition 'earns money to do the activity' of professional then technically yeah I am a professional, though pop star I'm not. But you know if I ever re-do this video I will be a little nicer, and in fact I've tried to be a ltitle nicer ever since, but sometimes I can't tiptoe around the things I don't like. But I will be a little more selective with the adjectives.
