- Different modes of failure of reinforced concrete sections under flexural loading. Balance failure, Compression failure and Tension failure.
What are the differences between different modes of failures?
Which is the recommended mode of failure of a flexural reinforced concrete member?
What is the unacceptable failure mode of RC members under bending moment?
Design and analysis of reinforced concrete sections using the BS code (British standards 8110).
Difference with the ACI 318 code.

The explanation is as clear as distilled water. Bravo Dr. 👏👏
Thanks
Sir, Fabulous ,Mind Blowing 3d Presentation .🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This really is amazing technical content. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your expertise, Dr. Sherif
Happy to help
Welcome back dear Dr. Sherif, please, do more videos it’s amazing ones 👍🏻✨
Thank you. 😊
Hi Dr. Can i know. Why at some other book have 0.617d
It could be a different code
اخ لو كان الشرح بالعربي
سهل ممتنع ❤
Thanks Dr Sharif for your vulauable lectures. We appreciate you a lot sir🙏🙏🙏
Thanks. It is my pleasure 🙏
thanks for the super clear video!!
Only got one question here.
I'm wondering what the main purpose for the flexural analysis of beams is? is it to calculate out the As required? or reinforcement ratio?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Is it correct, BS use 0.45fcu , and ACI use 0.85fcu ?
Yes it is. You are correct
@@MrElgamal77 Is tension failure = ductile beam design ?
Sir , Does doubly reinforced section acts as Balanced Section? Because we calculate ( Mu-Mu lim) and this difference gives us Compression Reinforcement, again we same equivalent reinforcement provide at bottom.
Sir, Can doubly reinforced section be designed for support moment (hogging moment), where the tension occurs at top fiber and compression at bottom fiber of the Beam section?
Assalamualaikum
Thank you for the videos Sir!
Your explanations are very educative
EXCELLENT WORK DR SHAREEF N V WELL PRESENTED.
Your video helped me solve a problem I was stuck on. Thanks very much 😁😁
Glad it helped!
Thanks ustaad sharif
i ask you one quastion for equation formula load from solid slab two way area trapizodal n×area of trapizodal/long side of panel or ly sir that formula is correct or not
And area of trangular transfer to beam formula n×area of trangle/short span or lx that formula is correct or not
I just uploaded a new video about that. Check my last video in my chanel.
Welcome Dr it is veru intersting presentation vedio pls make vedio also Ribbed Slab design and Stair case design
Thank you for your interest. Will try to do.
finally i found the one who did perfect stuff in our community.
love you.
best regards.
Ibrahim Mohamed
Thanks. You are welcome 😊
Thanks a Lot sir...Very informative
Thanks.
Thank you for all that you have been doing to us ,and i ask Allah blesses upon you doctor.
It's my pleasure
Thanks Dr shariif
i wana lesson how loads transfer from slab to beam and bs8110 how to calculate beam self wt and partition wall and how load transfer to beam from two way solid slab and one way solid slab

Hello. Thank you for your interest. All what you asked are given in my beams videos.

Awesome. Interesting that here in my country, the NBR 6118 which is a Brazilian Code, they recommend that x
Interesting! Thanks for the information.
ACI recommends x = 3/8 of d or 0.375d
Thank you for sharing your knowledge
You are welcome.
Amazing ability to conduct infos
Thanks 😊
Hello Sir, in determining the deflection of a beam if the modification factor is more than 2 what should I do?
Use 2. But this is an indication that the deflection is too safe and you may be able to reduce the thickness.
@@MrElgamal77 Thank you Sir, I really appreciate your time and effort.
And if the modification factor is more than two for slab too, can I use two?
جزاك الله خير دكتور في ميزان حسناتك

Wonderful lesson ustad Dr Gamal
You are welcome.
Superb. Thank you.
You are welcome.
great video as usual!
I appreciate that

If safe percentage for 30N/mm² is 1.71% why does code allow upto a maximum percentage of steel of 4%?, but other than that, the explanation is extraordinary 👌
