I'm not 100% on board, but I will say that ever since his introduction, Morgans has been one of my favorite side characters in terms of personality and importance. He's one of those side characters who despite only having the minimum amount of appearances, he is someone you constantly have to keep an eye on simply because he possesses one of largest networks of any One Piece character behind only Big Mom and Cipher Pole, and has the influence and information to remain relevant.
At the same time, he's purely chaotic neutral. He can take a bribe and help manipulate information if he wants, but if it's a story he's personally interested in, he's willing to abandon all of his ties and make an enemy out of anyone without hesitation just to get the story out, purely out of interest. He willingly made himself an enemy of Cipher Pole, and by extension, the World Government, and Big Mom, and still had the audacity to laugh it off because he found the story too entertaining to cover up.
He's the most honest corrupt journalist, and I think he's amazing.
100% agree. I don´t like the idea that he is someone special from the old days. We have already enough of them. We need more people who follow their own agenda

He doesn't need to be more important. I'd rather him just be a crazy guy obsessed with the truth rather than yet another member of this grand Roger conspiracy to take down the WG. You'd think too that the gov would want to confirm the identity of the man in distributing papers to the entire world. The idea that he's an agent of chaos doing whatever he wants while continuously outsmarting Gorosei and Yonko alike is a lot more interesting/cool to me.

So the rubber fruit probably called out to Luffy in some way.
@@GrandAudio For the sake of the story, I'd like it to be the second option. More on my theory : after finding the fruit, Shanks, knowing that Roger's son was hanging in the area, came to Dawn island in the hope that the fruit would find his way to Ace (he must know about the will of Zoan fruits ; maybe the fruit talked to Shanks through the Voice of all things). He stayed at Fuschia village for long periods because he knew that he needed to let things run their natural course until the fruit had found its way to its wielder.
And it's when he saw that Luffy had eaten the fruit that he decided to put his bet on him (sacrificed his arm, gave him the Strawhat).
The theory is that Shanks knew all along that the Gomu Gomu no Mi is the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Nika and was supposed to bring it to Ace (be it as a last order from Roger because Joyboy and stuff or just because Shanks thought it was the right thing to do) but it just so happened that Luffy ate it before Shanks could ever give it to Ace. So as to not have the Nika fruit go to waste Shanks entrusted Roger's straw hat to Luffy and told him to give it back to him once he becomes a great pirate to give Luffy a direction to aim towards to fulfill the requirements to awaken the Nika fruit. It could also be the case that the fruit itself, as it was sitting in it's little box on the counter in the bar of the Windmill Village, called out to Luffy to eat it through the Voice of all Things without Luffy even realizing he got swayed to eat it since Zoan fruits supposedly have a will of their own (which is also supposedly why objects so far only have been infused with Zoan Fruit powers like Alpacacino and Funkfried)
@@GrandAudio I think Shanks came to luffys town to give the fruit to ace as Roger told that his son would be joy boy but things didn’t go to plan and luffy ate the fruit (it could also be because zoan s have a will of their own) and after he heard that luffy said the same thing as Roger he realized that luffy was joy boy and he gave him the SH
My favourite part of this theory is that the strawhat is an indicator to all of the ex-roger pirates to tell them this is the boy you must help on his journey

Morgans probably can't fly because he is in his hybrid form, where he has more weight and smaller wings (which also serve as arms)
Albatross may be great at long distance flying, but taking off and landing are not really their strong suits.

My theory was Morgan is an undercover agent for the Revolutionary.

The Bird-Bird Fruit that lets Morgan’s control birds…. Which allows him to deliver the mail in mass at the drop of his very tall hat. Also the albatross in this case could also reference to how Morgan’s is causing the world government great problems from which they can’t escape and preventing them from doing what they’d like by revealing everything beforehand.which is one of the definitions of an Albatross other than the literal one.
I think, Morgan is Momora, because the similarity on their eyes. Also I've got Morgan's vibe from Momora's smile on the pic that you include. Also, 3 circles on Momora's hat resamble 3 circles on Morgan's hat
In the anime scene 0:25 the pink haired guy has those 3 buttons like morgans (maybe oda gave the anime staff some tips to adjust the roger pirates appearances), and usually characters keep similar hats through timeskips

Oda revealed the names of 24 members of Roger Pirates excluding Roger, Rayleigh, Shanks, and Buggy. However, in manga and anime, it seems there are many more than 24 peoples. I wonder if those people are crew members or simply companions.
Maybe the 24 were og crew, whereas others are just crew like rockstarr from red hair pirates. Not the core crew but part of the greater one.

Reasons Morgans is legitimately one of my favourite characters:
1) Albatross are darned awesome, and Morgans seem to have some control over the News Coos.
2) Sensationalist: He is not a good guy, and certainly is somewhat motivated by greed, but above all he wants to excite the world and will risk everything with himself on the front lines for this.
3) His HQ for spilling the tea is a damn flying teapot.
4) BIG NEWWWWWSSSSU DAAAA
i don't think Roger found the One Piece, I think Roger passed on his dream of finding the one piece by exposing it's existence, he laughed because the 4 road poneglyph lead to nothing and that One piece is located under Lobby. He laughed because Joy Boy misdirected everyone.

What’s supper interesting something I’ve noticed since watching One piece. At random scenes in onepiece you will find a falling white feather. I first noticed the frequency when I went back to watch skypie arc. Right before they go up the upstream when that ship fell from the sky. Sanji went down to salvage and there was a feather in the empty treasure chest box he opened but that’s it. Plus you will see that iconic white feather at other specific random scenes in one piece and than out of no where Morgan was introduced and his character design is perfect connection to the feathers. Might be something might not be.
Yeah, there was also a white feather when Ace and Whitebeard died too. I wonder if Morgan's is up in the air doing some UAV surveillance lmao

this one has made Buggy's mysterious luck made more sense, since he published whatever he wants and in Buggy's case hes probably trolling his junior like "haha buggy yonko" and Morgan's also the reason why other Roger Pirates managed to stay hidden despite being very notorious to the point where I think the WG considered to hunt them one by one
he hid his comrades presence by covering their major actions or probably disguising them using a fake identity or name just like how God Usopp or Soge King were (ps both of these name are a different person)

Correct me if im wrong, but there are more people with the intial "D" in their names on the wanted posters and not just Luffy. Monkey D Dragon, Portgas D Ace, and Marshall D Teach all feature the D initial. So that couldn't be used as evidence to support this theory considering Blackbeard was a nobody on Whitebeards crew during the time of Roger. Though the rest of the theory makes sense to have someone in the media to share the truth and the only way someone would know Roger went to the last island is if they were there. Morgan definitely fits that bill.

It also makes sense to keep Portgas D ace as that was rogers son, but what doesnt add up to this theory is why Blackbeard also keeps the "D" initial, when he wasn't even really relevant until he betrayed Whitebeard and stole his devil fruit. So it can't be used as evidence to support the theory about Morgans since it has some holes. That's not to say i don't believe it's true, given the other evidence.
Most of these theories are half baked and unanalyzed. A little bit of scrutiny pokes a hole pretty quick typically.
Morgan being a former member of Roger's crew would kinda explain/justify why a mere journalist is strong enough to fend off CP agents and doesn't seem to be scared of the WG

Something worth mentioning is that albatrosses are considered good or bad luck depending, and will portend storms or death. They carry the souls of dead sailors and killing one is considered to bring great misfortune or death. Fits the bill for someone like Morgans, whom the government won't touch for fear of what it may bring.
I definitely think that Morgans is a charactr we've seen before. I could see him having been in Loguetown while the Straw Hats were there. or Alabasta.

Mihawk held the title for 23 years, and 23 years ago Mihawk was 20, Shanks was 16.
(More of an age gap than Zoro 21 to Luffy 19, So it goes to show Mihawk like Zoro was making a name for himself pior to Shanks and Luffy)
Shanks met Luffy 13 years ago, Luffy was 6 he is now 19
So that means Shanks vs Mihawk was more than 13 years ago as when he lost his arm their duels stopped.
Shanks was 26 or younger Mihawk 30 or younger
So 13 years of one armed Shanks being a YONKO etc have gone by while Mihawk fought scrubs cause not many want to be strongest Swordsmen
My boy Morgans is deeeeeep undercover. He was a member of the Roger pirates, made it to Raftel, and learned the truth of the world and the void century.
Roger asked his crew to prepare for Joy Boy's successor, with Rayleigh waiting for him in Sabaody, Crocus at the entrance to the grand line, and Morgans to search for him using the news. Perhaps to help his legend along or something.
This is why he is always in hybrid form. He can't be seen, otherwise he'll be recognized.
Lurking Legend? Probably not. Scopper Gaban? Probably not.
What other evidence do I have? None. This is just one of those 'gut feelings'. The analogy to Superman is what really sells me on it, though. Clark Kent can't fly, but Superman can. If Morgans is undercover, he knew that Stussy was a CP-0 agent and couldn't blow his cover. Clark Kent hides in plain sight, just like Morgans. There are a lot of parallels here, but it could just be me grasping at straw hats.

Well the Clark thing is a bit wrong; Clark legitimately is just a normal person while at work; he’s fumbly because he legitimately doesn’t know how to cope with the loss of strength and dexterity.
The office buildings of the time used Phosphorus lighting; the main component of which is, you guessed it, Kryptonite gas; He is incapable of using his powers while in an office building
You know this video got me thinking.. besides Oden, Crocus & Dark King Rayleigh we never actually got any info on what happened to the rest of Roger’s crew I’m sure the rest of them are out there somewhere and it could be possible that Big News Morgan is one of them

I don't think he was a part of Roger's crew but someone he had met along his way. Buggy was the only known crew member to have eaten a DF. BN Morgan just represents how news really should be spread. The reason the government can't so much as touch him at this point is because they gave him his power. The world became reliant on his newspaper to spread the truth while the government rely on it for distributing bounties, etc. The moment something happens to Morgan, people will start to wonder. If they find out it was the government. It starts to bring into question whether or not they can be trusted, what are they covering up, among other things.
I love this theory, I think it’s true… but we know who Morgan is, just go to 7:53, you will see a guy with a hat that has three golden circles on his head. Later on at 15:36 it shows the same man with a different hat on. He keeps the circles on the hat as if he moved them. Following along these lines of he moves the circles on his hat, Morgan’s hat has the same three circles…

I actually thought this in the past prior to seeing any theories about it. Morgan's is fighting the WG in his own way and he knows A LOT that they don't want him to know. Glad to see others have considered this too. He's a highly interesting character.
Wasn't the main source of news regarding strawhats Deuce, who writes for Morgans? It makes sense for him to be interested in Luffy, as Ace's first mate.

I’m not a huge theory fan but honestly I like the idea of Morgan being somebody that knows shanks and the rest of them and the straw hat being used as a way to track Rogers intended successor.
Something else to notice with the D in luffys name
He deliberately left it in there which means he is aware of the will of D. Which crew was the only one to figure out what the true of will of D was. The roger pirates

If you think about it, Mihawk also has to know about the straw hat. I bet he recognized it when he fought zoro and acknowledged Luffy and the hats choice of a first mate. I’m not saying he’s 100% in on the JoyBoy plan, but we know he respects shanks and might have the same trust in his choice in who wears the hat
I think Momora fits the best to be Morgans. The hat of his, the eyes jsut fit and his name have some similarities.
This opens the possibility that the remaining Roger Pirates might come to Luffy's aid for the "final battle"

There are many people with the names Morgans. Plus, the guy is a devil fruit user who chose to stay in his bird hybrid form (Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Albatross) at all times. I think Mr. Morgans is Mr. Momora of the Roger Pirates. Mr. Momora had a bird cap and is shown to be good at trading goods (hinting at trading news). It is likely Mr. Morgans uses his bird form to be head of his news business while he uses a human form for undercover news missions.
Now that i think about it, it would have been really funny if luffys Bounty poster was printed with him in gear 5 and a name Like Monkey Luffy or Monkeyd Luffy

The best piece of evidence amongst the members of Roger's crew that stands out I'd say is the hat on the guy with pink hair Mamora. The hat itself is in the shape of a bird beak but if you look closely at the top of the hat there is the very same 3 buttons in the same pattern on Morgan's hat in hybrid form.
The crew member at 15:15 might be Morgan, since he has the three circle patches / buttons on his hat similar to, well, Morgans hat.
[THEORY] Big News Morgans
I've slowly been going through the anime for a third time over the last year or so, and have been trying to pay attention to things we've missed (cross-referencing the manga when appropriate to ensure it's canon).
I'm just finishing WCI now, and Morgans' interactions with Stussy and Big Mom, as well as his future dealings down the line during the Wano arc, has me scratching my head a bit.
FYI The following might be mild manga spoilers, but nothing big. Spoilers are marked as such.
Here's what we know about Morgans:
He's very interested in the Supernova. He's looking for the next King of Pirates, and has more-or-less thrown in his hat (no pun intended) with the Straw Hats. He's not completely sold, but he's definitely pushing Luffy's story forward.
It could just be journalistic interest in a big scoop, or it could be something more.
He's strong. He was
He also saw what Stussy could do, knew who she was, and wasn't really that intimidated by her. Hey guys.. I got a theory... I was thinking why the bounty of chopper is so low even after showing off his medical expertise and his Monster point... I think it has to do something with Dr.Vegapunk.... I believe he asked the WG to reduce choppers bounty as he wished Chopper dont get any attention and consider him as just a pet. This is because of his rumble balls...We dont know how he got the formula for those... and this may posses the abilities which can affect the df powers .. Because we know he is a raindeer with human human fruit.. and he uses his rumble balls for changing his powers or upgrading it and we can think of his monster point as awakening. Both Vinsmoke Gudge and Vegapunk worked on something called Lineage factor."All lifeforms have the Lineage Factor, and by manipulating it from a young age, the growth of a lifeform can be changed. Eating a Devil Fruit affects one's Lineage Factor, which allows them to gain a supernatural power" (From One Piece wiki...pretty interesting site...). While I was checking for Chpper's wiki... I searched for Dr.Hiriluk ..and surprising enough... HE ALMOST HAVE SIMILAR BODY SHAPE AND APPEARANCE AS DR.VEGAPUNK HIMSELF.... so my theory is that while Gudge and Vegapunk was conducting expts in Cloning (they showed it in Whole cake island arc) I guess they tried to clone Vegapunk and failed in perfecting him and creted Dr Hiriluk... and also gave him a disease so that he wont survive long enough..(Or maybe he is just the brother of Vegapunk) Hiriluk weares a black coat and vegapunk a white one.. hiriluk is bad in science but vegapunk is the best...(2 sides of same coin..as Oda usaually does) I also found that Hiriluk used bombs and firing guns and pistols.. similar to vegapunk in his Pacifistas.... So chopper got info from Hiriluk in lineage factor..🤔🤔

We all think of power as destructive but Morgans is one of the most powerful characters in the show, and thanks to buggy(another roger pirate mind you) we see influence is on par with strength.

He escaped freakin impel down and yet - nothing. Luffy did the exact same thing and was all over the news. Roger won the news and LITERALLY became pirate king because of it, one piece would not even happen if it weren’t for the power of the news - which we now know Morgan controls. One thing that has become pretty clear over the years is that Oda likes introducing characters well before he decides what their full purpose to the story is so that he doesnt have to insert fully unknown characters too often. The worst generation is a pretty good example of this. Throw out a bunch of guys in 2008 on a surface level and slowly flesh them out and intergrate them into the larger story over the next 15 years.

At the start of the story we thought of Luffy as a normal guy who has a mediocre fruit and rise to the top by his strong will.
then, we discovered he is the grandson of Garp and his father is Dragon. We were like ok it won't change the fact that he earned his spot and rank in the pirate world.
But then, he suddenly has one of the most OP fruits, Shanks didn't give him his hat by chance or luck , Railey didn't train him for who he was but for what he will become because it was "planned all along".
After all the help I mentioned, the idea that the world's most powerful source of news also backs him is unacceptable and ruins the adventure he had.

It can be both though. Luffy wasn’t chosen, it was his will that made everything happen by making choices. The whole “child of prophecy” angle doesn’t have to fit because of inherited will. It’s not like Roger left a piece of himself and it reincarnated into Luffy. Luffy’s choices and actions were so naturally in line with Roger’s, Joy Boy’s, and D that he is *able* to inherit those wills and grow to see them through to completion.

This theory would have made sense if Morgan's role began at the same time as Shanks, Riley, and Crocas, i.e. after Roger's execution. But Morgan was reporting news about Roger and others in Roger life, and now he's reporting it about Luffy and his generation. Just because he's reporting on a crew doesn't mean he's on the crew 😂🤣 It just means the crew did something worth writing about
Add to that how he managed to be in the biggest press organization and even its president at the same time as he sails with the strongest crew without anyone noticing... from 9-5 in the office and then flies to the ship or what ?😅

Yeah, I’m more in the favour that the fruit just slightly influenced it’s surroundings till it just ended up where it wanted and who it wanted. Like no one was aware of the fruits influence, it didn’t speak to anyone… it just kinda manipulated some small levels of cause and effect… kinda like the whole “butterfly effect” idea.
