  • Bought this on 4 March 2023 and immediateky after setting it up the bike presented with a knocking noise. Very distinct and clear in the video.
This video has been made to assist the store I purchased it from with investigation and resolution.

Just got the same issue today when freewheeling… and just reading that no hearing from tacx in three weeks it’s very disappointing… I’ll contact customer support to see what they say…hope you’ll get yours fixed soon.!

Hey guys, just an update to let you know that it's been many months now and though Garmin has agreed to replace the unit, nothing has arrived. I have been without the product for all of winter, a key reason why I bought the thing. I will keep updating this post.

I am on my third Tacx neo bike, returns related to flywheel or crank noises. I now hear a similar sound as you have, but only after a harder effort, like the downhill from the alpe du zwift. I had to stop the flywheel with the brakes. Tacx seems to have some serious quality control issues. I hope you got your bike replaced.

Not yet mate. Three weeks, not a single word from tacx/garmin. It's very poor, to say the least. But will keep you posted.

Update: the bike was replaced in September/October - so, a few months after I had bought and returned the tacx.
I would like to thank the bike store, Bicycle Express, Adelaide, as they really pushed, not only to get the bike fixed but ultimately replaced with the newer model.
The new model has not had any issues and I've done at least a thousand ks on it.
For others that have the same issue, I'm sorry but I think the only fix is to do a warranty claim through your retailer. :(
